Located in one of downtown Wilkes-Barre’s historic buildings, Bank+Vine provides both an indoor and outdoor casual dining experience with plates meant to be shared around the table. Take a trip back to 1912 and visit the old South Side Bank while dining in 'The Lobby' with it's 30 foot vaulted ceilings and a private dining room overlooking the entire restaurant, perfect for gatherings of 10 people with a private restroom. This was my first visit here and was so excited to try it after hearing great reviews. We got put at the worst and smallest table in the place directly next to the bar. It took at least 15-20 minutes after we got there to get asked our drink order. We got the clams as an appetizer and they were flavorless and got the broccolini Caesar and it was just a head of broccoli cut with some sauce on it, not broccolini at all. My boyfriend’s short ribs were delicious. I got the filet and had to wait 10 minutes after getting my food for the waiter to bring me a steak knife that felt like it was going to fall apart and could have barely cut through butter and the outside of the filet was hard and the red wine butter sauce did not compliment the steak well and I love red wine. The actual wine was about the best part of the night. Maybe it was just an off night and I would give it another try but was sorely disappointed to say the least.

Overall, we were disappointed based both on word of mouth and the posted reviews. We loved the cocktails and the beef tartare. The oysters were a little off and the smallest we've seen (across the last five restaurants at which we've ordered oysters). The main courses were greasy (the swordfish, which might as well have been chicken milanese instead) or bland/uninspired (the branzino). We probably won't be back.

No place to hang coats? Multiple attempts to take our plates / glasses when we were not yet finished. Very friendly waitress, superb food, and an overall welcoming atmosphere. OpenTable menu and actual menu are not the same. Website needs updated.

It was our first time there. Very pleasant experience overall. They were kind enough to push our reservation back as we got stuck in traffic on the way there. The food was really good. But there was a bit of a long lag time between dishes. And we had to flag down the waitress for bread (I love bread, haha). Other than that, we enjoyed the food and had a great time.

Consistently great food, menus changes and adjusts to season. I eat at Bank and Vine whenever I visit Wilkes Barre and I am never disappointed. Well prepared and with interesting flavors make dishes original and very enjoyable. Service and staff are also perfect. Highly recommend

We cannot say enough good things about this place. The atmosphere was lovely. The staff members were incredibly polite. The food was next level. Everything we ate was a multifaceted flavor bomb. We had apps, entrees, and desserts. This is perhaps the best restaurant we have ever been to. Highly recommend!

The experience was excellent. This was the first trip to Bank + Vine but probably won’t be the last. I’m not from the Wilkes-Barre area anymore but the combination of food and environment was enough to make sure I’ll book a reservation the next time I’m back in the area. I’m not much of a brunch person, however the menu was phenomenal and the food was perfect.

Bank+Vine offers a variety of menu options that all looked so delicious it was difficult to choose. We were there for a special Italian themed event that included additional pasta and seafood dishes. The restaurant is in a historic bank building and is beautifully decorated. Delicious fine dining in a comfortable atmosphere.
