   Small plates were the stars here. Fava bean hummus was delectable and the tuna crudo was a really nice bite of food! Saffron spaghetti with clams was enjoyed as a main. Lamb entree was salty and the portion was so small, pasta primavera, billed as a ‘classic’ dish was not classicly prepared, but the peas had a nice crunch. The tomato sauce seemed like an afterthought. All that said, this was some of the best food we’ve had in Wilkes Barre hands down.

   I have eaten at B&V many times and always have had a great experience. This visit I was disappointed. There was a new more limited menu, no specials and quite honestly the food was not great. We had to send one item back. The service and drinks were just as good as always. Maybe they were just having a bad day, in the kitchen. but this was the day we chose to go, and all it takes to affect their reputation.

   The staff was very attentive and friendly. They conveyed our food requests to the chef. The chef did make some accommodations according to our wishes. They did try to please us. Having some restrictions to our diet, I realize it was hard. The restaurant is beautiful and the waitstaff was great! As far as our food is was not quite what we were expecting, not to say it was not good, it was just our palette.

   The cocktail list is outstanding, with a large variety of interesting different drinks. The Gigante bean appetizer was really special. Different and tasty. The duck confit was out of this world and one of the best dishes in all of NEPA. I wasn't sure that I would enjoy the honey spice glaze but it was one of the best duck dishes I've ever had. On the recommendation of several reviews I had the Bundino dessert and was so happy I did. It was so yummy and different. That sums up the whole restaurant - yummy and different.

    Our server/bartender was excellent! Very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and gave honest feedback when selecting my meal. Super friendly and very attentive. Environment was very clean and decorated without going over the top.

    Small servings. Raw oysters were the size of dimes and just came with lemon. No Tabasco or cocktail sauce. I asked for another drink with my dinner and it came when I was finished with my dinner. Will not be going back.

    As always, this place never disappoints. From creative drinks (I had the arsonist, a smoky bourbon drink) to delicious appetizers and entrées, you can’t go wrong. I ordered veal parmigiana, which is a staple of red sauce joints, and you can already imagine in your mind what it would look like. Not so here! I had a beautifully prepared tomahawk veal chop on a bed of amazing tomato marinara, and topped with the perfect amount of cheese. My husband and I tried many things, so I encourage you to go there and just go crazy with the menu. Multiple times. You won’t regret it.

    100% recommend Bank + Vine! I’ve been twice and both times it’s been a top 5 meal I’ve had all time. I live 2 hours away and would drive there every week to f my schedule would allow it. Haha!

    This was my first visit here and was so excited to try it after hearing great reviews. We got put at the worst and smallest table in the place directly next to the bar. It took at least 15-20 minutes after we got there to get asked our drink order. We got the clams as an appetizer and they were flavorless and got the broccolini Caesar and it was just a head of broccoli cut with some sauce on it, not broccolini at all. My boyfriend’s short ribs were delicious. I got the filet and had to wait 10 minutes after getting my food for the waiter to bring me a steak knife that felt like it was going to fall apart and could have barely cut through butter and the outside of the filet was hard and the red wine butter sauce did not compliment the steak well and I love red wine. The actual wine was about the best part of the night. Maybe it was just an off night and I would give it another try but was sorely disappointed to say the least.

    Overall, we were disappointed based both on word of mouth and the posted reviews. We loved the cocktails and the beef tartare. The oysters were a little off and the smallest we've seen (across the last five restaurants at which we've ordered oysters). The main courses were greasy (the swordfish, which might as well have been chicken milanese instead) or bland/uninspired (the branzino). We probably won't be back.

    No place to hang coats? Multiple attempts to take our plates / glasses when we were not yet finished. Very friendly waitress, superb food, and an overall welcoming atmosphere. OpenTable menu and actual menu are not the same. Website needs updated.
