Banchan: American Izakaya seeks to embrace the integration of Asian flavors and ingredients with American cooking. Our Executive Chef Matthew Fisher believes the après culture of Park City’s mountains closely mirrors the after work and street food model of the Japanese Izakaya and this is reflected in our menu and atmosphere.

    Banchan advertises as izakaya, which typically means sushi, sashimi, nabe, makezushi, and edamame. However, none of these are actually on the menu. What is on the menu is southern fried chicken and pizza. This is American fast food, not izakaya.

    Very nice food and service. We had bulgogi egg rolls, Korean fried chicken, bao buns, and the mixed salad. Everything was delicious!

    The newest addition to Main Street Park City’s restaurant scene, Banchan is a refreshing new concept, Asian fusion dishes with tons of flavor. Along with a great cocktail menu, Banchan is a great spot for dinner with friends.

    Like many other reviews, we found the food to be mediocre and the service to be fairly good. The dining area should be cleaner.

    I’m glad that my family and I try this place. As a local, we always look for something new to try and this place will be our list of favorites to go to. The food is delicious and very affordable!

    Hostess was friendly and attentive, however our server was not attentive. We only received one refill of water (remaining out of water the remainder of the meal), and were only checked on twice throughout the meal. Martini was ordered up, however was made with something sweet; whiskey was ordered neat but was served on ice. The bao buns were good, but many other items were mediocre at best. Food was too pricy for the quality.
