   food was very good , especially fettuccini. our server, Maria, was very attentive. I did notice a $2.50 service charge on bill- no clue what that was for- unfortunately I had already left Bambara so could not question it

   This is a fantastic spot if you are visiting the Museum of Science as you can valet at Hotel Marlowe, walk over to event and then walk back and enjoy a meal. The service & food were great. They had a musician/singer that was wonderful, but the sound system made them sound too loud even at the farthest table. It was tough to converse over the music. The vibe of restaurant was pretty casual, so we would not return simply for a dinner... BUT, as an add on to an event nearby... this would be a fantastic choice!

    While the food was very good and the server was nice, it took quite a long time for anyone to come to the table to ask if we wanted drinks. Maybe the server was not clear about their assigned tables? Once we ordered drinks, it took a good 15 minutes to get them. The restaurant was not crowded; maybe 6 tables were occupied. Only then did we order food. However, the food came fairly quickly, faster than the drinks. And it was very good.

    I would wait to visit here until they work out their service issues. There were three tables full but still took 20 minutes for someone to come over and then it was difficult to get drinks and coffee. Not good

    A large party of six we all got something different from the brunch menu and we all loved our meal. My roasted mushroom and goat cheese omelet was great and the home fries one the best I ever had. The service was impeccable and very efficient. We all agreed we should of had dinner here the night before instead of the crowded and not very impressive place in the Cambridgeside Galleria

    Good food, simple and elegant decor, excellent service! The only weird thing was that at 9:30pm we had to leave our table in the dining room and move 6ft away next to the bar area, where we enjoyed another round 😂

    Been going here for years. Recently chef baz left and a new up and coming chef has taken over. Let me start by saying. Chef Adam made an amazing ribeye with yakiniku sauce that was better than any fancy steak I’ve ever had. He even came by the table to introduce himself and make sure everything was to my liking. Definitely a chef to watch make headlines in the Boston area. Would recommend for everyone to try.

    Very email menu changing daily so make sure to check it. Steak was expensive and not outstanding ..just fine. Fish was good. Brussel sprouts were soggy... Ceasar salad was huge but nothing special. Decent place if staying in a hotel nearby and you don't want to eat at cheesecake factory or the mall.

    While staying at the hotel across the street, I asked the front desk for good restaurants within walking distance. They recommended Bambara. My coworker and I met 2 local friends there for drinks and dinner. There had been a lot of snow that day and it was messy outside, so the place was almost empty when we arrived. The host and our server were very friendly and prompt, but I have to say the food left a lot to be desired. Maybe it was an off day for the kitchen, but I've never eaten a more tasteless Caesar salad or clam chowder in my life. I know there's a lot of competition for chowder in New England and not every place can serve the best, but this was truly terrible and I can honestly say I've eaten better chowder from a can. And how anyone makes a Caesar salad with absolutely NO flavor whatsoever is a mystery. Again, good service, which was appreciated, but I couldn't eat more than a few bites of the meal and wasn't asked why or if I liked it at all. (It was obvious I didn't.)

    Met up with some friends and their young child for dinner here. Staff was super attentive and came over a few times with different activities for the kid, you can tell they've put a lot of thought into helping everyone enjoy their meal - not just the adults!

    Server was extremely rude and didn’t give us the full complimentary dessert that was advertised for Halloween. She didn’t bring our drinks (soda water) for almost 35 minutes. We got them after our appetizers were brought out. She clearly wasn’t in a good mood and made faces to everything we asked.

    We had a great meal in this cozy space on a dark rainy night. The Caesar salads was delicious. The goat cheese with cranberry compote on pecan toast was deceptively simple but balanced and a great appetizer. The calamari was outstanding — crispy breading, tender squid, and a nice aioli for dipping. The service was very attentive without being intrusive. We couldn’t have been more pleased.

    Restaurant seemed a bit overwhelmed with a very reasonably sized breakfast crowd. Surprised that seating felt fairly close together in a COVID world but I guess that’s how they are doing it. Food was quite good, as was the service.

    It had availability at the last minute and was easy to find and park. The staff seemed busy and overwhelmed, but nice. The food was decent, but nothing amazing or special. Somewhat limited menu.

    Outside seating had comfortable seats (padded) & distance from other tables was good. It was a cool evening & they turned on a heater for us. Food was great - loved the butternut squash soup & the goat cheese appetizer. for dinner, the pork, broccoli & polenta were my favorite! The apple tart with ice cream was delicious. No crumbs left on anyone’s plates.

    Rude. Felt unwanted. No dedicated waiter/waitress after being seated, had to frequently flag workers just to place an order for drinks, apps, etc. I would recommend a convenience store for dining before I ever think about this place again…
