The food is beyond delicious...it is flavorful with unique essence. Brunch pastry and breads are best I have ever tasted!
The only good thing is the butter and the bread. Otherwise my salad was full of water, onion rings oily, asparagus cold, French fries cold, and the rest poor. The service was spotty as the server appeared to take the order then disappeared until dessert. It was my husband’s birthday; they forgot. Forget this place; it’s a rip off.
Food and atmosphere was amazing. James our waiter made it even better. Looking forward to the next time.
Attraction here is the ambiance, service and location. The place is beautiful and perfect for business type lunch where you want space and ability to converse. Food is almost a secondary consideration here and is overpriced for what it is. It is good quality, but I would feel I was getting ripped off if not for the superb location/ambiance and service.
Mother’s Day brunch
We had a great time. The service staff was totally awesome. Their attention to detail was incredible. It helped to enhance our Mother's Day experience. It was my wife's first visit to the restaurant. We WILL BE BACK. See you next time, hopefully soon.
Mother’s Day. Food good. Service very good from Marianne. Buffet for this one day. Plentiful. Little nickel and dime on the drinks and parking. For $85/plate coffee should be free, for example.
Been here for regular lunch, dinner and have held a holiday party there, which was very good.
I requested a round patio table for 6 and the request was honored. We arrived and a staff took my bottle of Rose ($45 corkage) away to chill. Wine glasses arrived but no wine. I had to ask the waiter to have the wine served. Later when the glasses were empty I again had to ask for service (the wine was properly in a wine bucket out of reach). The staff member arrived and said "Oh I thought you wouldn't want it, as you also have a cab to serve with the entree" We not yet had been served out entree's and as I know the wine maker personally finishing the rose was important. The remaining Rose was served and again we had to wait for the Cab to be served after the entree's arrived.
The food and atmosphere are great, the noise level on the patio is ok, however those in-charge of wine service appear to be running around going nowhere. It seems the table near us that purchased off the wine list got much better service.
Had a great time. William our waiter was the best. Food was great, loved everything about it.

One of our favorite spots in West LA.
We went early this time to sit in their bar prior to dinner. Nice seating areas and good pours. Limited light hors d'oeuvres for those of us following-up w/ dinner but a delicious & generous grilled artichoke. Staff could have been more attentive to customers. I finally had to go to the Bar to request the check.
The food is (specifically steaks/chops) always great. The restaurant is not yet at a 5-star level w/ re to staff/service/ambience but their staff is very personable & our experience there has always been a positive one. A definite positive recommendation & we will be back.
My daughter recommended Baltaire while we were in town visiting. We had a party of 5 & made reservations for Saturday night@ 8:15. We were promptly seated. Our waiter Manu was delightful, engaging & professional. We had appetizers including Wedge salad, Shrimp cocktail & Caesar salad. All delicious!! For entrees we had Salmon, Chilean Sea Bass, Filet, Bone-in Filet & Lamb Chops! OMG! Some of the best bites ever!! The Lamb was amazing. I ordered it M & it was perfectly cooked. My Boo thought his Bone-in Filet was the best until he had a bite of my lamb. The sides included Broccoli, Cauliflower & fries. Yummy!! And then we shared two desserts, the Butterscotch pot de cream was delightful and reminded me why anything butterscotch is my favorite! The other selection was peanut butter pie w/ pistachio gelato. Everyone liked!! We all were very happy. Loved it!!

Trying to impress a client with excellence and Baltaire failed me completely. It had been my favorite restaurant for a special occasion but it was very disappointing that night. The food was mediocre and the service, horrible. It wasn’t busy so I’m thinking they just forgot about us. I had to ask for everything rather than being offered; more water, another glass of wine, to clear our plates, and bring the check. Not cool for that caliber restaurant and the price paid.
I went there to celebrate my birthday. The first server we had pretty much abandoned us. Jessica came and stepped right in. She was very personable and offered her opinion about n certain foods.
VERY expensive for what it is! Steak was tough! They are very high on their own perfume!
Top end Sunday brunch buffet, with excellent service. Wonderful. Go.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner with friends last Saturday, celebrating two birthdays. We loved everything about the restaurant. The interiors is warm and welcoming, our server was very personable and knowledgeable.
We had Chilean Sea Bass Lobster, Risotto, Salmon and a lovely steak for two. The Greek Salad, tossed at the table was delicious as were all of the deserts.
It is a bit pricey, so I will save this gem for another special occasion.

Amazing meal and overall dining experience
The food was fantastic but the service was beyond amazing. I had never been. It’s very pretty inside Somewhat of an outdoor feeling with lots of trees.
We had ordered the shrimp cocktails the beet salad and the ahi tuna tartar as appetizers. Absolutely fantastic. The shrimps were huge
I had the sea bass and my husband had the short ribs. The short ribs were great. The sea bass was a bit undercooked for my taste however the waitress herself took the charge off the tab without me complaining or saying anything. She simply asked my thoughts and i said it was good but a bit undercooked for my taste
It was also my birthday and they complimentary brought over 4 different desserts that were to die for
The service was beyond amazing. The manager came by our table to wish me a happy birthday and apologize for the fish which i swear was not necessary. I would highly highly recommend this place for the food, the ambiance and the service

We had a lovely dinner for a birthday celebration at Baltaire. We started off with 6 oysters and the crab cake. We also ordered the little gem Cesar salad and the grilled artichoke. The artichoke was stupendous! So yummy! The oysters were small, but flavorful. 2 Cesar salads were too much. For the main course, we split 2 of the filet tasting menus. The steaks were tender, the sauces complimented the meat very well. We got the lobster Mac and cheese. It was very rich and creamy and totally worth it. For vegetables, we got the charred broccolini and it added a nice balance. We skipped dessert in favor of a homemade cake. The wine, beer and mixed drinks were great!

Food was amazing but service was really disappointing for these prices. For $50+ a plate, there should be pretty outstanding service. We weren't even greeted for 15 min after arriving and drinks took another 20 minutes. Honestly, would not come back here for dinner, seems a little too hip for itself. After work drinks or brunch is probably best for this place.
Excellent service, I love the atmosphere. The food is decent but not spectacular.
I was disappointed that my tab at the bar had to be settled separately and could not be transferred to my table. As well, no one offered to carry our drinks to the table as I typically find in restaurants with great service.
Our server was attentive, made a good suggestion for wine. The food was good, but nothing that really jumped out at me especially given the prices.

A lovely meal! Loved the very hot plates to keep the food at a perfect temperature. The noise level makes it hard to visit.
The waiter was fantastic- Quintin, the food A+ except the onion soup. Although we asked for and got one of the quieter tables it is still very noisy even at 6:15-8:15.
Great food and wait staff at restaurant. Had great birthday dinner party for wife. However, restaurant was understaffed, especially as nite wore on....waitresses serving tables in multiple parts of restaurant so service took longer than necessary. Management needs to plan staffing better.
My mom was visiting and always have a great time at Baltaire so I wanted to share that with her. The service and atmosphere, as always, was fantastic. Unfortunately my steak was not as good as it has been at previous visits - this time with the outside burnt and the center quite under what I think is usual for ‘medium’. Brussel sprouts were also quite burnt on the outside with bitter flavor, and frites soggy with oil. Our coffees at the end took long and were also a bit cold. I would definitely come back, but would just hope for a better night and perhaps reconsider our side choices.
We checked in when we arrived and confirmed our reservation. As we were early for the reservation, we had drinks in the bar (nice lounge, on the louder side). We were seated for dinner. Food, atmosphere and service were great. Received notification from the restaurant and Open Table that we were a no show. Obviously a mistake.
