The patio is lovely. We came early during the week and it wasn’t crowded for lunch. Great service and great food.

Took my partner out for a birthday dinner and it was fantastic. The food impeccable, it’s pricey so if you’re on a budget don’t go. The Wagyu was delicious so was the center cut filet. My favorite is probably the brussels sprouts as a side. I’m not a big fan that they did not have a cocktail menu but that’s OK they had an extensive wine list.

Service and food were fabulous. Our server, Lauren did a great job under these challenging circumstances - two face-masks and a face shield! Sadly the ambiance is loud for me. I would prefer not to have to raise my voice to have a simple conversation - that’s something I would expect at a club, not a fine dining establishment. Fortunately I think the late reservation (8:30pm) helped as it quieted down midway. I think dining at the bar, when it reopens, will be the way to go.

Bone in rib eye was half fat. Disappointing

Solid experience overall. Definitely very pricey but the steak was dynamite and all of the food was great.

Dined in for my brothers birthday and had a great experience even after HYPING this place up to my cautiously pessimistic homeboys. They were completely on board after the Wagyu hit the table followed by one of the “best ribeyes they’ve tasted” said the usual Maestros / Boa patrons. The staff was extremely attentive and even remembered the short comings from my previous experience and more than rectified the issue. The GM was also really welcoming and he even went out of his way to bid us farewell. Easily one of my favorite restaurants for all the aforementioned reasons. I’ll be back soon

I am a long time diner at Baltaire and the food has consistently been outstanding! However, this last encounter was very disappointing. The spice salmon crispy rice was overdone and dry. You could barely cut it in half! My NY Strip Steak was overdone and pathetically thin. Not sure if Baltaire lost its chef during COVID, but if they did, best to beg him to come back.

The food was fantastic. Tables were spaced very well apart so it felt very covid safe. It was wonderful!

Wonderful friendly service. The food was not great. Not what I expect from a pricey steakhouse. I have no problem paying those prices when it’s excellent food but when it is sub par, no good.

The best of best

Ate there last weekend and had a truly disappointing experience. I have been to this restaurant numerous times pre-pandemic, and loved it, but they have truly slacked on their service and operations now.

Tables not spaced out appropriately. They wanted to seat us 2 feet away from two separate tables. When we explained that we are not all vaccinated and thus would prefer a different table that was more isolated, they explained that the new table was not 6 feet away from another table. It was 5 feet away from one other family, which we would take over being 2 feet away from two separate other families. The hostess was snarky in her commentary and made us feel bad for requesting a different table. We wanted to eat “outdoors,” but their outdoor setup is really an indoor setup with one open wall (the roof was closed and instead of having 2 walls open for proper ventilation, one wall was open. We were celebrating a special occasion and were excited to eat out, so just decided to make the best of it.

It took over an hour to receive our food after ordering, and by the time food came, half of it was cold. We were so hungry that most of us just ate it, but one person in our party I guess wasn’t hungry enough to eat cold fish. The waitress informed us that the chef could make a new dish, but it would take 30 minutes, which wasn’t really a bible solution given that we had already waited an hour. The waitress also made a snide remark that the two fish dishes were made at the same time and clearly the other person at our table didn’t send his dish back (what the waitress doesn’t realize is that the other person was embarrassed to send the dish back and just decided to eat his entree cold).

The chef sent complimentary desserts as an apology, which were actually phenomenal. They brought the bill and charged our tip automatically on the complete bill including the complimentary desserts. That’s pretty gutsy!! Left a bad taste on our evening!

lovely dinner. The staff was very on top of everything from filling water glasses to refilling bread and butter when low. The food was served hot and all of us were served at the same time for each course. The room is lovely and the heat lamps really worked well and made our time on the patio very comfortable. Recommend the salads. The lobster risotto appetizer was delicious and large. We all loved the brussel sprouts side and the beignets were really good and the protion was large with a tower of 12 beignets.

Rude staff

Went there for an anniversary with my significant other, had a wonderful night. The food was delicious, worth coming back again! Service was great!

Great meal and a great time! Wish we would have gotten a better table since I told them it was our 5 year anniversary but it was great still. Steaks are amazing and the service is amazing!

A great fine dining experience even in covid world

Food was delicious. Only issue was the patio was pretty cold. They need to increase the heaters if they continue with the outdoor dining. It’s a lot of money to spend feeling cold.

I really enjoyed my birthday at Baltaire the drinks were amazing as always and the service was good too!
I felt a little rushed but I realize under the circumstances they do the best they can. I highly recommend this place.

The food was excellent. Lots of missteps in service though. We wanted a few appetizers and they said we had to order the entire meal and that the kitchen would course it out for us.. well, you have to agree that we were shocked when everything was brought to our table at the same time. No courses except the steak came later.. then just little things I had to flag down someone to get for us a couple of times. Normally I would drop it to 3 stars but with all this covid BS, I figured I'd cut them a little slack..

Celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday last Friday and the entire experience was amazing! From our server who was so professional yet very personable and friendly to the best steak I’ve had in a very long time! It was like butter, fantastic! All around 5 star experience! Highly recommend!!!

Baltaire is by far the best steakhouse in Los Angeles, it was such a pleasure to be able to get out and enjoy for the first time in so long. We felt incredibly safe dining on the patio, staff takes so many precautions while still maintaining a high level of service you would expect. The food is outstanding, and the music/ambiance is just right. Fun people watching, as well. Highly recommend!

Everything worked out just perfectly. The tables were far enough apart without feeling like you were in total isolation. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious!

As always the food and presentation was reliably superb. On the night we were there the only drawback was the remarkably strong winds that made the dining experience so uncomfortable that we cut our time short. But that's the fault of the bogus, politically motivated lockdown; Baltaire management was doing its best under unnecessarily difficult circumstances.
