Inspired by the lush Cretan lagoon it’s named after, Balos creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere—blending old-world charm with modern elegance. Founded by industry veterans and lifelong friends Stefanos Vouvoudakis, Tom Tsiplakos, and Joe Ragonese, it embodies the Hellenic tradition of shared meals and lively conversation.

The evening started off great with the hostess seating us in a “quieter” spot as I requested. And the waiter brought over champagne for everyone because it was in the records that our anniversary was recent(5/24) which was a very nice treat. And then he was very helpful with our menu selections. The dinner was delicious as always. And our friends will now be returning customers as well to Balos.

The ambience is really nice. Hostess and everyone else were very friendly and appreciate chef Hayden for coming in on his day off. Food was amazing. Highly recommend.

The food was wonderful, however service was tremendously slow at every turn, to include just getting our order taken. It took about 2 hours to get our main course. Look forward to giving it another try, hopefully this was a one off.

It seemed as though there may have been a mix up with my reservation so there was a bit of a wait when we arrived. However, I saw that they worked as quickly as they could and were able to seat 7 of us. Had an amazing dining experience. Food and music were on point! I’d definitely celebrate my birthday here again. Thank you Balos!

This place is 100/10. The service is impeccable. The mocktails we had 100/10 (passion fruit) The appetizer 100/10 The food 100/10 Not one spice was left behind. I will definitely go back. It gets louder after 9PM but the ambiance is still good.

This is one of my favorite places to visit and my waiter was exceptional. My only complaint is that I felt a little rushed! I understand there is a 2 hour window however within the 1st hour I felt like everything was rushed and it was hard to really enjoy my food. As a person that travels to Greece and aboard often I’m used to dinner being an experience and unfortunately it wasn’t quite that. I would urge that perhaps they extend the allotted dining time or at least be less conspicuous that they are rushing me lol, especially on an evening when I we were in to celebrate my husband’s birthday! Otherwise no complaints and looking forward to dining there again.

Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the appetizers — especially the Lamb Kleftiko. For mains, the Lamb Youvetsi and Moussaka were outstanding. Everything was flavorful, tender, and full of authentic taste!

Excellent experience from the start of the meal until we rolled out a few hours later. Every single dish was exceptional. The grilled octopus on the starter menu was some of the best I have ever had! All of the entrees were great - perfectly cooked and great presentation. Cocktails were a big hit as well. Service was also top-notch. Would highly recommend.
