Ballast Point - Downtown Disney
Great food and the server was very nice. Would recommend, but reserve ahead of time. Slots go fast.
They were super accommodating to my special request in celebrating my husbands birthday. They sat us right where I requested and brought the cheesecake at the end of the meal in perfect timing. So happy they helped make it a little more special than a regular lunch!!
For a Disney Walk I really liked the location, especially the upstairs dining. Food was good, but not exceptional. We had the pretzel, which I did enjoy, especially when accompanied by a flight of tasters. I would recommend starting with tasters because they always do more than a 4 oz pour in each glass. My wife enjoyed the steak burrito, which was huge. I had the flatbread, which I enjoyed, but could use some improvement. I like it when the bread is a little thinner and it has a few more toppings. Beer choice is very good. You are paying Disney Walk prices so a flight will cost about double what you pay at the original site in San Diego.
Great food and service
Service was great, food was delicious, beer was great but pricey for their own brew.
When we want to splurge we’d gladly visit again.
Everything was great. Love there ice tea and ofcourse beer!
Great food and huge selection of beers and wines. I'm a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc drinker and it's hard to find in these parts (sorry not a fan of Cali wines!) so that was great - good variety on the menu - one of the best fish tacos I ever had, and Victor was an excellent server. Sat upstairs with great views of Downtown Disney.
We enjoy the beer selection and general pub food. Their main dining room is small so we recommend reservations! There are lots of high tops and a small patio, but it is a pretty small restaurant, especially compared to the sprawling San Diego venue. The menu is limited as well, but it is a nice break from the parks. Great selection of kids meals as well.
The burgers are outstanding, the kid options are good, and the beer selection is great. They even have beers that you can purchase to-go including good barrel aged stuff like BA Victory at Sea.
Everything was just average....not bad but not great. I would expect more being new and in Downtown Disney....
Great place to come and chill, as long as you have a reservation! Don’t listen to Yelp, the service is OUTSTANDING!! Beer doesn’t get any better in DD
Great service, great food. Awesome beer! We came for dinner twice during our visit to Disneyland and we will definitely be back. Grunion all day!
We love Ballast Point, period. We love their beers and usually their food. We frequent the Miramar location (San Diego) and decided to give the Disneyland one a try. We were not disappointed! We arrived a bit early for our reservation, and were very fortunate to be seated early. We had the most wonderful server, Teagan! She was absolutely a breath of fresh air, just a naturally friendly young woman. We were well looked after! As usual, the beers were fantastic! The Mahi Mahi Fish 'n Chips were delicious as was the Blue Cheese Burger! Both of us commented on how outstanding the "chips" were...crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle............just right! We had a window table, so enjoyed people watching as the evening went from daylight to dusk. What a wonderful evening!
Ballast Point fans and first time at this location. Appreciate the standard table service experience over the bar ordering at their Long Beach location. Limited/R&D options were great!
Came for an early lunch on a Wednesday. We had a full day planned so we ordered immediately after drinks.
The Bavarian pretzel was amazing! Warm, soft, and not overly salted.
We were amazed with our impossible burgers! They were delicious! Came out promptly as we were finishing our appetizer.
I was anxious to finish lunch in under an hour and we were done and paid on just over a half hour. Delicious food, fast service, and friendly waiters. Can’t ask for more.
Food was great, I was kinda disappointed in the beer. I like dark beer and 2 that I wanted to try were only served on the outside bar. Which sucks because the dark beer selection is limited to start with. What we all were upset about was the Air conditioning. It was Hot as hell in there and it wasn't even a super hot day! I really made our meal miserable.
One of the bartenders at neighboring UVA gave it a bad review/recommendation. We almost cancelled our reservation. We chose however to try it, and it was good. One person in my party didn’t like theirs, but I enjoyed mine and my sister enjoyed hers. We had a great server Henry that made the experience even better. It was as my sisters birthday, he brought out dessert and sang. Great beer!!
The beer list was great. Our table wasn’t ready at our reservation time but the staff was very informative and friendly so we didn’t mind waiting.
Reservations are definitely recommended, but we'll worth the wait. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was awesome. It is downtown Disney so you know what it is being held to for standards and it doesn't fall short. The beer was outstanding as always but we have always been partial to their offerings anyway. The Spring Berry beer was very tasty and refreshing for a seasonal offering. We would recommend it to anyone and will make it part of our plans when we return.
First tine there. Was hoping for a window but maybe next time.
The worst service I have ever experienced, there are plenty of other places to eat at when visiting Disneyland for the same price where you can receive much better service, super disappointing since my husband and I enjoy ballast point beers so much, I would not visit again unless it was to just have a beer at the bar top.
Went with 4 people for our friends birthday celebrations. We had been here before and had a wonderful experience but this time not so much.
The waitress seemed annoyed that we had only ordered beer flights and an entree to share but is it not a brewery???
Also there was leftover lipstick on one of the flight glasses and the waitress was no where to be found so my husband had to finally go up to the bar for a new one.
We ordered a flatbread to share which was barely enough for one person and for $16 pretty sad excuse for a flatbread.
The flavor was kind of a letdown too... sadly nothing exciting.
The beer on the other hand is always delicious and top notch but this trip was a letdown and nothing special was done for my husband and friend who were celebrating their birthdays like last time. We just felt like it was an annoyance to be serving us.
Love ballast point otherwise we will try one more time and hope it’s better!
Good food. Really nice beer selection. Good service. Long line at the bathrooms that needed to be serviced.
Aaron was our waiter and he was so nice and helpful with great suggestions. He was very attentive in checking in with us.
Made a reservation. Fast and easy service. Waiter was super kind and helpful. Great food and drinks. Ambience and view was awesome! Will definitely be coming back!
Mike was an excellent server, and gave great recommendations for our meal.
Best option in downtown Disney. Food is tasty! And...they have impossible protein.
The food (fish and chips) was terrible. There were 8 empty table around us. Yet people at the door were turned away. I had to make reservations 6 weeks out cuz your so busy. The fish was dry and seamed like it was already cooked and you just warmed it up.
We were in and out of there is 45 min. Our food came in less then 5 min. Felt rushed and I will not be going again, nor will I recommend it. Overpriced for the quality of food. Our waitress was great, but that's all you've got going for you.
Slow and inattentive
I made a reservation to eat here for March 31st at 7:15; we had no problems with the reservation, we checked in and were immediately taken to our table. The menu itself was not very impressive. it was rather short. The food that we ordered was also nothing special; I had the vegan tacos, husband had the mussels, sister had the Cesar salad and her boyfriend had the fish tacos. T he men at the table had multiple flights of beer that they enjoyed, but the food was sub par.
The service was also lacking; it took forever for our server to bring our drinks, we had to repeat our order to him and when we asked for a side of butter he became very uncomfortable and made it seem like we were making an impossible request. Which by the way, we never received that butter or an explanation as to why a restaurant would have trouble filling such a request.
If you're going to this place just for some beer, then fine, it's a great option. Don't expect anything else about this establishment to be great.
We left the Disneyland with our toddler in tow to have lunch and had outstanding service from beginning to end! The food was delish and of course the beer was on point! Highly recommended on any Disney trip - will go back every time!
Great beer and great food. I highly recommend it.
The bathrooms (at least the ladies bathroom) are WAY too small for the size of the establishment. Two stalls for an entire restaurant and two bars, not to mention there’s literally no room to queue if needed. For a place that specializes in beer, that shouldn’t have been an afterthought.
I love the beer and the food was a bonus. The mussels were especially good.
After we good past the curt and short personality of the downstairs hostess everything else was great. She is definitely not the person for the initial contact. There was no greeting at all and before we could say anything she cut me off with “we’re not excepting any walkins anymore tonight “ instead of finding out what we needed. We’ll go back just hope she’s not there thnx
We made a reservation a couple months in advance and our table was ready when we got there. The beer was great, the food was excellent, and we had an amazing waiter. Our waiter let us take as long as we needed to recharge before going back to Disneyland. He never rushed us and even helped us with our beer selections. Will be back for sure!
Reservations a must! The food is amazing and a wide selection of adult beverages. Must do after a long day.
We loved the beer and the appetizers, but the entrees were nothing special.
Newest restaurant at Downtown Disney, and if you don’t get a reservation, the bar area is first come, first serve. I was able to grab this reservation at 11:30. Perfect time, because you get first pick up the tables. The food was very good, but I felt that the fish and chips was definitely very pricey for what you get. Tons of fries, and three heavily battered fish. The vegan lettuce cups were delicious, but watch out for the spices! The flight of beers are very generous, but Stephen liked the Downtown Disney specifically made beer the best. With our 10% annual pass discount, the bill came to about $75
Great place, a little pricey for what it was
We made reservations 6 weeks ahead. We are Ballast Point fans and were looking forward to our experience. We checked in with a reservation and were sent upstairs, where we waited 5 minutes for anyone to greet us. There was no ambience in the table dining area, just plain tables. The service was mediocre. The server asked one of our party if they wanted avocado on their burger but it didn't come. The food arrived lukewarm and we had to send it back. The brioche bun tasted like Wonder Bread. The beer was very good as expected but it was double the price we pay at home. That is spendy even for Downtown Disney. We do not plan to return.
