Ballast Point - Downtown Disney
The food was very disappointing & the wait staff seemed understaffed. The food obviously wasn’t the waiters fault. I. Ant believe I booked this restaurant a week and half in advanced for less than mediocre food than a 10 year old could’ve made better. And the fact that the dinner was pretty expensive and the food was such a let down for my anniversary. I can’t believe Disney allows such low standards to be served as food on their property.
Great service, will def come again 💖
Our server was amazing and he made some really good recommendations for my cousin and I. Also I would totally recommend the nachos. I didn't even want to finish my burger because I would rather eat the nachos.
Staff and service was great.
This place is great for date night or to hangout with friends ! Food is good, drinks are great !
I was surprisingly disappointed with Ballast Point. From the moment we arrived prior to our reservation, we were certainly not made to feel very welcome. We were seated 10 minutes after our reservation time. Initially the service was ok but I specifically asked for slower service as we were in no rush. I asked the waiter specifically to not serve the entree right after the appie but of course as soon as the last bite was on our mouth, the entrees were out. I had the black and blue burger and it was less than fantastic. My hubby had the fish and chips and did not have a clue what kind of fish it was, just that it was dense and overpriced. The beer were ok. They sat us at the coldest table in their restaurant, so cold in fact that every table seated there asks to be moved, this according to the waiter serving us. We will not be making an effort to return to Ballast Point the next time we are in Disney.
Great food. Great beer. Great service. Make sure you dine here during your Disneyland vacation!
Massive sharp bones in the fish and chips. Flatbread was just ok.
Amazing beer and great food, loved every second of it
Vacation at Disneyland to celebrate retirement
The service was good. I originally went there for the tuna poke appetizer because I saw on another picture they did the Siracha aioli in the shape of mickeys. But mine was not presented that way. Which I was bummed about, but it was still delicious
We had the best table. The view was Simply breathtaking. The food was so delicious, the waitress so kind and available. Ballast Point is a wonderful place, Disneyland should have put this place in long time ago. We can’t wait to go back, I’m actually going to place a dinner for co workers there. It is that good. Clean tables and floors, good food, beautiful views, kind waitress, what more can you ask for. Amazing!
Pricey but great!
Great service and great food! Definitely get a reservation for a smooth experience and no hassle.
We enjoy this location so much always amazing service and great ambience
Great food, great beer. Difficult to get a reservation, reserved months before. I’m sure the standby wait is long. One of the best options in downtown Disney for food and beer.
Great food and the server was very nice. Would recommend, but reserve ahead of time. Slots go fast.
They were super accommodating to my special request in celebrating my husbands birthday. They sat us right where I requested and brought the cheesecake at the end of the meal in perfect timing. So happy they helped make it a little more special than a regular lunch!!
For a Disney Walk I really liked the location, especially the upstairs dining. Food was good, but not exceptional. We had the pretzel, which I did enjoy, especially when accompanied by a flight of tasters. I would recommend starting with tasters because they always do more than a 4 oz pour in each glass. My wife enjoyed the steak burrito, which was huge. I had the flatbread, which I enjoyed, but could use some improvement. I like it when the bread is a little thinner and it has a few more toppings. Beer choice is very good. You are paying Disney Walk prices so a flight will cost about double what you pay at the original site in San Diego.
Great food and service
Service was great, food was delicious, beer was great but pricey for their own brew.
When we want to splurge we’d gladly visit again.
Everything was great. Love there ice tea and ofcourse beer!
Great food and huge selection of beers and wines. I'm a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc drinker and it's hard to find in these parts (sorry not a fan of Cali wines!) so that was great - good variety on the menu - one of the best fish tacos I ever had, and Victor was an excellent server. Sat upstairs with great views of Downtown Disney.
We enjoy the beer selection and general pub food. Their main dining room is small so we recommend reservations! There are lots of high tops and a small patio, but it is a pretty small restaurant, especially compared to the sprawling San Diego venue. The menu is limited as well, but it is a nice break from the parks. Great selection of kids meals as well.
The burgers are outstanding, the kid options are good, and the beer selection is great. They even have beers that you can purchase to-go including good barrel aged stuff like BA Victory at Sea.
Everything was just average....not bad but not great. I would expect more being new and in Downtown Disney....
Great place to come and chill, as long as you have a reservation! Don’t listen to Yelp, the service is OUTSTANDING!! Beer doesn’t get any better in DD
Great service, great food. Awesome beer! We came for dinner twice during our visit to Disneyland and we will definitely be back. Grunion all day!
We love Ballast Point, period. We love their beers and usually their food. We frequent the Miramar location (San Diego) and decided to give the Disneyland one a try. We were not disappointed! We arrived a bit early for our reservation, and were very fortunate to be seated early. We had the most wonderful server, Teagan! She was absolutely a breath of fresh air, just a naturally friendly young woman. We were well looked after! As usual, the beers were fantastic! The Mahi Mahi Fish 'n Chips were delicious as was the Blue Cheese Burger! Both of us commented on how outstanding the "chips" were...crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle............just right! We had a window table, so enjoyed people watching as the evening went from daylight to dusk. What a wonderful evening!
Ballast Point fans and first time at this location. Appreciate the standard table service experience over the bar ordering at their Long Beach location. Limited/R&D options were great!
Came for an early lunch on a Wednesday. We had a full day planned so we ordered immediately after drinks.
The Bavarian pretzel was amazing! Warm, soft, and not overly salted.
We were amazed with our impossible burgers! They were delicious! Came out promptly as we were finishing our appetizer.
I was anxious to finish lunch in under an hour and we were done and paid on just over a half hour. Delicious food, fast service, and friendly waiters. Can’t ask for more.
Food was great, I was kinda disappointed in the beer. I like dark beer and 2 that I wanted to try were only served on the outside bar. Which sucks because the dark beer selection is limited to start with. What we all were upset about was the Air conditioning. It was Hot as hell in there and it wasn't even a super hot day! I really made our meal miserable.
One of the bartenders at neighboring UVA gave it a bad review/recommendation. We almost cancelled our reservation. We chose however to try it, and it was good. One person in my party didn’t like theirs, but I enjoyed mine and my sister enjoyed hers. We had a great server Henry that made the experience even better. It was as my sisters birthday, he brought out dessert and sang. Great beer!!
The beer list was great. Our table wasn’t ready at our reservation time but the staff was very informative and friendly so we didn’t mind waiting.
Reservations are definitely recommended, but we'll worth the wait. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was awesome. It is downtown Disney so you know what it is being held to for standards and it doesn't fall short. The beer was outstanding as always but we have always been partial to their offerings anyway. The Spring Berry beer was very tasty and refreshing for a seasonal offering. We would recommend it to anyone and will make it part of our plans when we return.
First tine there. Was hoping for a window but maybe next time.
The worst service I have ever experienced, there are plenty of other places to eat at when visiting Disneyland for the same price where you can receive much better service, super disappointing since my husband and I enjoy ballast point beers so much, I would not visit again unless it was to just have a beer at the bar top.
Went with 4 people for our friends birthday celebrations. We had been here before and had a wonderful experience but this time not so much.
The waitress seemed annoyed that we had only ordered beer flights and an entree to share but is it not a brewery???
Also there was leftover lipstick on one of the flight glasses and the waitress was no where to be found so my husband had to finally go up to the bar for a new one.
We ordered a flatbread to share which was barely enough for one person and for $16 pretty sad excuse for a flatbread.
The flavor was kind of a letdown too... sadly nothing exciting.
The beer on the other hand is always delicious and top notch but this trip was a letdown and nothing special was done for my husband and friend who were celebrating their birthdays like last time. We just felt like it was an annoyance to be serving us.
Love ballast point otherwise we will try one more time and hope it’s better!
Good food. Really nice beer selection. Good service. Long line at the bathrooms that needed to be serviced.
Aaron was our waiter and he was so nice and helpful with great suggestions. He was very attentive in checking in with us.
