He a great time with the family will definitely be back !
My wife and I had breakfast outdoors. Since it was Mother's Day, they had a rare breakfast menu. We both had eggs Benedict, mine pork belly, hers smoked salmon, and both were excellent.
Menu short and sweet. Labeled ok for food allergens. Lots of outdoor seating.
Food and beer and service were great. Wish you guys would open up for tours. I'll be first in line. Please let me know when tours are open again.
Overall we did have a good time at this restaurant but there were a few things that just really bothered me about the experience. First it was so cold. They had one heater to share between tables and it just wasn’t enough. Most of our guests were miserable the whole time. Second, no servers! I don’t know, I guess this is the new Covid way, but I don’t like not having someone to ask questions or requests to. We were constantly flagging down the super nice guy but he seemed to be busy doing other things and shouldn’t have been helping us. Also, who am I giving my 20% tip too??! Seems ridiculous when you don’t put a face to the help. I was not a fan. Food was good, maybe would go back on a warmer night.
It will always be a good time, but don't expect anything special.
Outdoor seating made for good noise level so we could have a nice conversation.
Service was outstanding, beer was great!
Sweet potato waffle fries were so-so, and pretzel puffs were pretty good.
Getting together with friends. Love the experience
Horrible experience. We made reservations 7 days in advance to watch the San Diego Legion and were told we had to watch the Padres instead???? After the manager stated we had problems with the staff in the past, we walked out! Went to Carlsbad Brewery where we had an awesome experience and caught the second half of the game. Such a sad experience at the sponsor of the Legion! Not going back.
Food was great and the experience was awesome..!
Was my first time at Ballast Point.!
Relaxed and friendly environment. Ordering/cashing out was super easy and convenient.
Had burrito and fish tacos. Greasy and not worth it. Had to pay before food came including tip. How do you tip on service that has not occurred. Nobody to talk to about menu and essentially no table service. Extremely disappointed. No communication at all.beer was good. Wish I could have ordered a second round but no body to take that order.
Went with friends from the area and had a great time. The server was excellent, providing samples of a couple of beers that we were interested in trying and making recommendations. Three of us ordered burgers, one plain and 2 with everything possible on it, including a large onion ring. All were happy with their food and beer. I ordered the fish tacos which came as described; deep fried cod with slaw and chips on the side. The tacos were topped with pickled onion. The onion tasted great but was an awkward topping to the tacos (sliding around) so I removed them.
5 stars for the servers who did everything they could to make our visit enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.
We were outside on the patio for a spectacular San Diego Sunday afternoon. Food was good. Beer was fresh and delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. Dogs’ tails were wagging. All was perfect.
Only disappointment was rather limited menu otherwise great place.
Food service was SLOW. Not sure if it was an off day or something but it took at least 45 minutes for a bowl of chili and some sweet potato fries...wtf? I know there is a pandemic and all, but really? Also, while really nice to be able to just mobile order and pay so you don't have to flag down a server to get your check especially if you are now crunched for time cause it took so long for a bowl of chili, but this also means if you are a quiet party and not drinking so much beer servers are constantly bringing out pint glasses it means you have to literally jump up and down to get a glass of water or silverware despite asking several times. Next time...maybe I'll pass on BP for a week day lunch.
Good food, good service and friendly staff .......
Dinner was great! Had a good time while out on a date.
Very friendly staff. Went above and beyond for our big party.
Seated promptly. Food and beer were excellent. Cockroaches running around on the bench seat (patio) were not welcome however. I told the server who acted shocked and did nothing about it. Otherwise a nice time. Heated floor was a plus.
Enjoyed the food, service, ambiance and easy parking!! Will definitely return! Thanks
Very good food ordering on the app is cool but miss the full service
Food, beer, and ambiance are almost always fantastic!
We try to go here every week or so. We’re never disappointed.
We sat in the bar area this past Sunday morning and were amazed at how quickly we were greeted, and how quickly we could put our orders in! Food was cooked well and beer is always fantastic!
Felt very safe and comfortable. Staff was very attentive.
Food, ambience and service were all top notch! The focal point - the beer - left something to be desired.
The food and beer was great as always. The service is a little lacking now that we have to order on our own. The waitress never asked us if we needed anything and every time she dropped something off she immediately started to walk away. When we were finally able to grab her attention to request something (more water for example) it seemed like she was a little annoyed. Overall a good experience but service just isn’t what it used to be.
Has taken over as favorite San Diego brew-pub replacing a North County rival
Great food, excellent beer and really good service. Definitely very recommendable and worth a visit.
They are using the no contact QR ordering system it made it very disconnected. I think it is probably more difficult in the servers to keep track of their tables. We ordered beers and a pizza. We got our beers relatively quickly however 40 minutes later we still had not gotten our pizza. When we asked it came out but it was cold. But the manager did then come over and apologized and comped the pizza and asked if there was anything else she could do.
So although the service was poor- personally I think the QR way removes the hospitality part of it- but I get it- covid- and the food was not to our liking - this absolutely could have been a one time deal- and they did all they could to make up for it. Which shows they are worthy of another try
My girlfriend and I had a great experience here. The food was reasonable and the service was great 😊
Always a great place to visit, food is really good and love the watermelon dorado.
We've been supportive throughout the pandemic and very happy to be there. You guys are great. I just really wish the menu would change a little from time to time. Maybe some more healthy fresh veggie appetizers or some fruits and cheese plates...? Just thoughts...we'll still keep coming.
First time indoor dining since covid and we felt safe and we had a great time. Nice to have some normalcy back.
Everything here is terrific, from the beers and wine to the food .... we love all the “bar foods” like the pretzel bites and the wings but they make a mean burger too. Always friendly service and always a good time.
everything was good except the service. It seemed like they didn't want us there. When are wings were brought to us no napkins or plates were brought with it or even offered. No one ever came to ask us how everything.
Cool atmosphere but they were kind of a mess, we had to keep asking for silverware and basic needs, food was just ok
The time factor on the food was a little on the slow side, but other than that it was fine.
Got sat quickly, but it took over 15 mins to see a waiter. Once we saw the waiter, we had finally had a chance to ask for water. Ordering online was not a great experience due to the fact we can’t ask questions about the food or beer and we get charged an automatic 20% tip before we saw any of the workers or received the food. Would not go to this ballast point again and would go to other local breweries instead.
