   Yikes this was not worth the hefty price point. Service was very mediocre. No refills offered, had to flag someone down to get a coffee and then again for cream. Felt like our presence was a burden. Pastries were good, but savory food was just okay. That photo station was really junky for this price point you should have splurged on a fresh flower arch not a wrinkled plastic sheet from Amazon.

   Unfortunately, this experience did not live up to the Ballantyne Hotel’s reputation. The food was good, at best. Not great or exceptional. I honestly can’t say there was a single menu item I’d describe as exceptional. I have many fond memories of money well spent at this location’s various restaurants, their spa, and even staying with the hotel and using room service. I’m not sure when I’ll go back after such a mediocre experience, especially at such a high price point.

   We enjoyed the Easter brunch. We arrived earlier than our reservation;it was not a problem as we got seated immediately. The food was delicious and there was something for everyone. The desserts were plentiful and they had food that appealed to children. But that’s where the brunch experience can be a bit overwhelming. One can only eat so much food no matter how much is offered. The price of the experience was quite high and it did not include any drinks. We could have given a voucher for at least one drink per person and charged for additional. (I’m talking about alcoholic drinks specifically.). A 24% gratuity was added to our bill. While the service was friendly and fast, getting drinks and taking away dirty dishes, that too seemed a bit high for a brunch. We have dined at the Ballantyne Hotel in the past and it was a lovely experience. But we will likely not do a brunch again. Perhaps adjust the cost of the brunch down a bit and decide how to do the drinks. All in all, we had a pleasant time but will make other arrangements in the future.

   Exquisite brunch for Easter. The food was artfully displayed, delicious, and meticulously maintained. Servers were gracious and polite. Amazing experience…thank you.

   This was ostensibly a Whiskey tasting event. While the whiskey quality is a personal opinion it was a fun event and the presenter was witty and knowledgeable. She kept the event entertaining. What was unexpected was the accompanying food offerings. We served a four-course dinner, which was not anticipated by me. That being said the meal was good but uneven. The appetizer was one of the best I have ever tasted. It was a Tuna Tartare on Avocado. That description does not do it justice. The presentation was a piece of art, and the tastes were incredible. The salad dish was well presented but not to my taste, although the dressing was quite good. The main plate of Pork tenderloin was not particularly eye catching, and the pork itself was dried out. However, everything else on the plate was very tasty. The dessert was also a visual delight and a delicious ending to the dinner. Service was as expected in a plated dinner for a group.

   We have been going to the Ballantyne Ballroom for Christmas for over 25 years and it is always very good but this year, everything was outstanding. Great selection of food and the service was impeccable.
