   Great food and lovely friendly staff. This is our first visit but if we returned to Banff we would certainly eat again here

   Food is very delicious and obviously done by a chef. We took the lamb and chicken dishes believe me I know what I put in my mouth. It was delicious and cooked with love

   Excellent service from start to finish. The Liverpudlian man who looked after us was very welcoming, polite and knowledgable. Great food and drinks. Thank you.

   The food here was amazing. The service was horrible. I encourage management to train the servers to spend time with customers instead of the other servers. Also seat customer in good areas instead of corners when they have made a reservation. Will not be back.

   I’ve been to Balkan many times, I’ve brought my parents, friends and this time my brother. We had the three course menu for 29.99 and was great! value for money is 10 out of 10. food was delicious as always and service too (Sam was our server). The manager checked on us as well. I appreciate it! The only downside was that the music at Sasquatch (next door) was LOUD that you could hear it more than the restaurant music. I know it’s out of their control but it was a bit uncomfortable. The good food and value is worth it anyways. thank you

   My husband and I visited the Balkan last night to celebrate my birthday. We had recently returned from Greece and we wanted to relive our gastronomical experience. We each had one of their novelty cocktails. I had the fig and thyme margarita and my husband had the clarified Greek punch. They were both fabulous. We started our meal their beautiful little bowl of warm olives. Our sumptuous main was the Greek feast. It truly was a feast with a taste of several different meats and vegetables. Our server Ashlee was perhaps one of the most interesting young ladies I have met in a very long time. The hospitality industry would do well by taking a page from her playbook.

   Had an incredible experience at The Balkan! The food was delicious, the atmosphere warm and inviting, but what really made the night special was the service. Ashlee and Emily were absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Can’t wait to come back!
