It’s not happy hour, it’s not share plates, it’s not family style… it’s Baldoria.
At Baldoria, we’re embracing the lifestyle of the laissez faire. Where plans, schedules and reservations are frowned upon and anything is up for grabs.
It’s a place where you might meet up with friends for drinks and somehow find yourself slipping into dinner. Where you can bring a first date, or maybe just leave with one. Where chance might have you sipping a glass of Rosé next to your new business partner or exchanging coy glances with a throng of Milanese-models (one can dream). Baldoria is more than just a restaurant, more than just a bar…at Baldoria, it’s a bash.
Would recommend Baldoria. Atmosphere is chill, service was great, and food was good. The food is served family style and I remember the pizzas, brussel sprouts and fettuccine pasta as standout items. The cheesecake was also a huge win. We weren't drinking, but they had a number of intriguing drinks to try. Outdoor seating was a plus given the great summer night weather in DTLA.
Usually order delivery- and it’s always been quick and on point. Not many places have a homemade gluten free crust like theirs, it’s the best I’ve ever had. Had friends in town and thought it would be great to eat here since we’re all gluten free. Tuesday night, 3 tables occupied and we received the absolute worst service imaginable. Sat for 10 minutes with no menus. Ordered drinks and appetizers- in the middle of which we had a question about an ingredient and the server said, let me go find out for you and never came back to complete our order. Drinks took 15 min and weren’t even served together, when she finally came to bring them I said, we’ll place the rest of our order. We ordered 3 identical pizzas (the hot mama) and one with just cheese (1/2 pepperoni)- all gluten free. We received 3 margarita pizzas and the just cheese came out with a regular crust, not gf. We got all the apologies of course. Another 20 min later the right pies come out. They of course offer us the original pies to take home. I get giving us the pizza cause it would have been trashed anyways, but come on- you don’t come ANYTHING on the bill?! The ENTIRE order was wrong! Total bust- server was a total flake. If you only have one server for the place because it’s slow- get someone who knows what they’re doing.
- K-TOWN: Nice spin on a Ol' Fashioned
- House Marinated Olives: Not one sour olive! Glad we ordered these
- Tomato Peaches and tomatoes were sweet and the burrata was creamy
- Buttermilk Fried Onion Rings: had a nice kick to them and weren't greasy which is common among onion rings. Good flake to them
- Yukon Gratin: I look forward to eating at places where they serve potatoes on pizza. These potatoes tasted like they were frozen so wasn't a fan of the pizza
- Wild Funghi Conserva: Better option; Good flavoring; Would def recommend if you're a vegetarian
Good place for HH in regards to offerings. We went there at 6pm so there wasn't too much noise and it was a pretty laid back ambiance. Definitely peep it out if you're local.
Baldoria can always be relied upon for consistently great food, expert and friendly service, and a comfortable and casual setting.!
Great spot. I really loved the Old Fashioned, and the Pizza with shiitake mushrooms and shishito peppers was amazing.
We enjoyed the charcuterie tray, brussels sprouts, lamb chops and duck wings. The food was good and the service was very good.
As a Celiac, I loved their gluten free pizza. Their handcrafted cocktails are amazing.
Arrived for our reservation 15 minutes early, however the couple in front of us did not have a reservation. For some reason they were seated at the only remaining table (it was pretty packed due to happy hour, which we didn't know was happening). With years in the service industry, my partner and I were surprised to be booted for a non-reservation. We 100% understand and empathize with being slammed and would have had no problem if standard policy was employed where reservations are honored before walk-ins and/or least mentioned and apologized . That being said, we were still chill about it, and when things settled down, they were super nice and attentive. The food was decent (steak pizza awesome, chicken sausage pizza blah) but offset by an incredible happy hour which I don't think they even need to do! What a nice surprise. Overall would go back if in area but not make a special trip.
Really nice place with great meat and vegetarian options. Shared plates are encouraged and all the flavors and presentations were great. Not much in terms of decor, and service (while friendly) can get sketchy when they get busy, but overall worth it.
Great , delicious food , quick service
The pizzas are delicious and the staff was very friendly.
Great place, great server, great food. Would definitely recommend to others.
WHAT A GREAT PLACE! We came for dinner on a rainy Saturday night. The staff here are all so friendly and knowledgeable about wine. We had a great time- The potato pizza with added arugula (thanks to our servers suggestion) was amazing as well as the one with steak and shishito peppers.
Overall, it was okay. The service and food were good. The bathroom was filthy, and we were seated next to a loud group.
What a fantastic experience with exceptional food!
Loved this place. Such a pleasant surprise. Really enjoyed my meal.
great happy hour price and items. easy street parking. quiet for a weekday night.
The kitchen was closing and they still served six of us and keep it open. Great service :)
I had the most amazing octopus pizza there. I only wish it was bigger because it was so good!
We enjoyed our beers and food! Service was good and quick, the food was delicious!
The service was great. We had the fettuccine, the margaretha pizza, the pear salad, drinks and a really good cheesecake. The food was very good. If we see another play at the ahmanson we would definitely go back here for dinner
Very nice restaurant! Was mostly impressed with the pizzas and the gnocchi. Next time I come back, we will likely share several pizzas rather than order other items off the menu. The quality of mozzarella used is superb and the crust was also very good.
My calamari was so bad. Tasted so old and frozen. Not at all impressed by the food. Or the drinks. Big disappointment.
We had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at Baldoria. Delicious, creative pizzas and amazing cocktails!
It's a tiny place with few employees, so sometimes the service is a little slow when it's crowded, but it's so worth it! The octopus pizza and brussel sprouts are incredible and their cocktails are fantastic. I recommend sitting outside where it's quieter and cooler. Such a great find!
Focused menu, everything looked great, the salad and pizza we had was delicious. Great and friendly service. Extra star for parking in the building basically next door.
I've been to Baldoria numerous times and it never disappoints. First, they have some of the most amazing and unique handcrafted cocktail creations I've ever experienced. Second, their happy hour menu is a terrific deal where you can get any of their delicious flatbread pizzas for $8 plus a discount on cocktails and beer. Third, deviating from the happy hour menu is also fun as they offer other wonderful items such as charcuterie and cheese plates, mac and cheese, fried chicken, etc. Finally, their service is outstanding. What's not to love??
Our server was wonderful and the food was delicious. My two dining partners did have to wait much longer than I did for my food, but after it came out we all continued to have a lovely time. Great find!!
Best pizza ever!
Hot mama is soooo good!
Great place for late night meal (high end well thought out pizza only late night menu) The chared octopus was amazing.
We came for the Mother's day brunch and had a great time. It was great value for what we got, 1 entree, 1 side and bottomless mimosas or rose wine for $32 per person. The food was absolutely delicious, the mimosas were well made and the service was impeccable. Our bottomless mimosas never got to the bottom and they checked on us frequently to ensure everything was good. Thanks to Brian and Tucker!
Went for Mother's Day, great food and great service, really fun time
The all you can drink mimosas and the quality brunch food made for a 5 star dining experience
Don't miss the pistachio crusted grapes! Great place, clearly just getting some momentum but the vibe is fun and the food was great. Happy hour pizza and drink prices can't be beat.
Food was great as always! Thank you for the dessert you offered as service. We really enjoyed our lunch!
I loved the gluten free pizza! The food was amazing and the service was great. I'm excited to go back!
this was by far the best gluten free crust I have ever had.
Went here for pre-theater drinks and dinner on Thurs night. LOVED IT! We actually returned the next night as well. Great happy hour with $8.00 pizzas and 20% off drinks. The Funghi pizza was yummy. Also tried the Mrs. Croque pizza which has thin Black Forest Ham, brown-butter béchamel and an egg yolk. Super yum!! (and I don't like runny eggs) but THIS was clever and delicious. To top it all off, the service is superb. I wish I could clone them all. Just naturally hip, nice and on it! Well done.
We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch (with bottomless Rose wine). Delicious menu and welcoming atmosphere. Friendly and thoughtful service. All good!
Went on sunday for pre-theatre brunch. Chicken and waffles tacos (fried chicken wrapped in waffles) and pizzas were very good. Waffles could have been crispier, but the chicken was very good. Especially liked the Mrs.Croque pizza. Staff was friendly and helpful.
