   Great location. Food was good. No complaints, but nothing was particularly unique in terms of the current taqueria options in Pittsburgh. The margaritas were enjoyed by all — a highlight of the evening. Nice, casual ambience. Will probably be back at some point but would not have on regular rotation of favorites.

   They have a special or groups of 6 or more that includes appetizers, salad and tacos for a really good price. The food was excellent and the value was outstanding.

    Sat downstairs which isn’t as comfortable as upstairs. Good tacos, spicy margaritas and corn slaw. Queso is not very good though. The waitress was wonderful. Very patient with us!

    Aftwr hearsnof happy dining at Bakersfield, a visit late last year was disappointing with the tacos being almost all the "extras" and almost no protien. We wanted to give it another try and we were happy the food has returned to it's previous quality. One in our party tried the taquitos (a first for us) and was not impressed. The tacos were great. I alsontried the Ruby Red marg and it was wonderful. Would love to see it stay on the menu. Service was efficient and friendly. We will certainly be back.

    From the host to the server to the food, everything was amazing and welcoming. I had reservations for 3 people, I called in to change it and they gladly made it happen even though it was a weekend. The drinks were really awesome and food was awesome as well. I would come back here again for some get togethers and highly recommend to try this place.

    We had a 530p reservation, but arrived early and were able to be sat. The server recommended the pineapple margarita, which was delicious. I also had the chicken tacquitos (excellent) and a pollo diablo taco. My date had two other types of tacos which she said were also very good. I would definitely come back and recommend!

    My wife and I went to Bakersfield for a date night. Salsa was the best my wife ever tasted. Margaritas were delicious and strong. Tacos were scrumptious! Waiter did a great job serving us.

    Walked in on time for our reservation, there were several open tables on the main floor, but we were brought to the basement-which was empty-and given a high top table right near the steps/bathroom with wobbly stools. We were dressed up for a show that we were seeing so it was uncomfortable. Food was average. Our server was friendly, but rushed us. We were still eating our entrees when our check was brought out, and food was removed that wasn't even touched. We were only there for 65 minutes total-and we ordered apps and drinks, so it's not like we were overstaying our welcome, but we certainly felt that way and basically chugged our drinks and left. Wouldn't return here, there are much better options in the city.

    We love the fish tacos here and decided to have some at the bar. We started by ordering chips with queso and guac. The bartender asked if we wanted a small queso or large. We said small. What came out with the guacamole was a tiny ramekin, green hat is used for a side of ketchup. I said it was a lot smaller than we ever expected. He said yeah I agree, but didn’t offer to bring another one out. A regular service size. So the female bartender checked in and we told her. She said it was ridiculous and brought us a regular one. They did not provide plates or silverware. In fact we didn’t even finish our meal with any silverware. So much for wanting to eat the cabbage left on my plate! The most laughable thing about the evening is that they charged us $1 for that minuscule queso and another $6 for the regular one. Talk about a C- for service. There are so many great places for tacos in Pittsburgh. I won’t be returning.

    We dine here quite often. Usually the food is excellent! last night i hope was an anomaly. The tacos were horrible, Dry and tasteless. the short rib was burnt and dry and the Pollo Rojo was dry maybe the kitchen had an off night? Not sure Hope it doesn't happen again

    Service was slow and waitress seemed to be rushed and forgetful. 3 tacos was definitely not enough for a meal, especially for the guys. Chips were way too salty and we were never offered refills on water/ drinks. Would not go again.

    Food was very tasty and came out fast. However the first bite of my taco was ICE cold. Very flavorful tho. Everything was very flavorful and tasty. Margarita was also yummy. Waiter was very nice. Even with a reservation they didn’t have a table for us. But we sat at a communal table and it was fine.
