    Bakersfield is our go to for a reason. As usual, the host, servers, and food runners were accommodating, friendly, and very efficient. The food was delicious, the wait was not long by an stretch of the imagination, and the folks working were helpful and very quick to get our tiny table cleared and refilled each time.

    Our service started out okay. We got the seasonal margarita which was pretty good. Food was tasty as usual- guac, queso, tacos and 1/2 salads. Service left much to be desired. Our server barely made eye contact or used common service manners. 3/4 of the table has worked in service industry and was really hoping she would do something to redeem herself. Unfortunately this was not the case.

    Bakersfield is our fave OTR spot. The mini tacos and sides are all absolutely fabulous. Our server Alex was stellar - attentive, personable, and extremely efficient. TYVM for a wonderful experience!

    My husband and I ate at Bakersfield before the FC Cincinnati game. We loved sitting outside enjoying the beautiful weather and watching the people pass by. We started with a great queso dip. My husband got the taquitos, and he said they were okay with the enchilada sauce, but the chicken was a little dry and could have used something to make the chicken a little more special than just chicken. I got 3 different tacos (shrimp, pork, and brisket), and they were delicious. I always love the unique ingredients, and because the tacos are so small, I'm able to try a variety. I also had a pineapple margarita, and it was delicious. It was definitely popular because I saw a lot of them being served while we were eating. Our service was outstanding!

    The food was delicious. We had the queso with short rib, the guacamole, and everyone had two tacos. My favorite taco was the shrimp.

    Pretty limited menu, surprised they didn't have steak tacos. The drinks were fabulous. The salsa is sort of like BBQ flavored. Chicken tacitos were the best thing we ordered. Was disappointed in the cauliflower shareable bc the cauliflower was not done, basically raw

    We have been wanting to come back to Bakersfield after our first visit and finally got to again. We had our reservations for a little over a month. The food and margs were great, however, it was SO hot in the building. We were placed right by the door and there was very little airflow due to the traffic. This is a hopping place and we understand that it’s hard to accommodate everyone but when you’ve booked your reservation forever ago and end up sweating the whole time not wanting to eat hot food, it’s a bummer. Overall we still had a great time! Our waitress was very kind and quick to get us everything.

    Bakersfield is one of my favorite taco joints in over the Rhine! It has a beautiful patio area, friendly staff, and great alcoholic beverages. Anytime I’m in over the Rhine I have to come to Bakersfield for a pineapple margarita & some chicken tacos! Such a great staple in the city! One of the best choices of dining options in my opinion.

    We had never been to Bakersfield because the menu used to be pork centric. At some time they changed the menu and I wasn’t aware of it. We were looking for somewhere to eat before the FC game do I decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. Our server was very attentive but gave us the time to space out our order. We started with a pitcher of margaritas. It was a lot for two to drink. They were very good. We had the short rib queso dip which was very fulfilling. My husband got two tacos and I had the chicken Tostitos and they all were very good. We will definitely eat here again.

    All of their tacos are great. Get the short rib queso. I got the caballero old fashioned which was basically just bourbon. Their speciality is margaritas though so probably best to go that route. Side of corn comes cold. Still good but would be better warm. Service is great as their entire team is outstanding.

    Love Bakersfield, but this visit wasn't great. We sat upstairs and the vent above me was leaking water on the table. I had to lean towards my husband and move all of my food and drinks to the other side. Also I've had the guacamole so many times, its my favorite here...yesterday it tasted like avocado and that's it. There was zero flavor to it. I even asked the server if they changed the recipe of it. Other than those two things and the chips having zero salt on them it was an okay time. Our server was super nice.
