    The dinner for two was very good and gave us a chance to try all of the different types of food that they offer. The queso was a little grainy but good. The tacos were amazing and the short rib were the best of the six we tried. The potatoes and corn side dishes were large and very good. Love this and will be back soon!

    Amazing dining experience! Reasonable prices. We had tacos, chips & salsa, and I had a salad with chicken. One of the best salads I’ve ever had!!

    Bakersfield is always outstanding. Every time we are at the Schermerhorn, we swear we are going to try someplace new. But it’s so hard to take a chance on a new place when you know that Bakersfield is always going to be the best food you’ve had in a long time. I can’t say enough good things about how fantastic their food is. Definitely try the taquitos. You will not regret it.

    Really classy and beautiful supper club with great food and service . Whoever opened this place had a clear vision that shines through . A lot of fun . I would definitely come back !

    The hostess informed us when we arrived for our 5pm Rez that just so you know, the table is reserved for 6pm! What? I guess our 5 pm Rez was unimportant, then our waitress was MIA so another waitress took our drink order after @10 mins. We will not be back.it has always been a favorite but service was very poor.

    The restaurant and food are fine. We had a waiter that absolutely would not stop trying to upsell us. Want to use a premium liquor? Want to make it a double? How would you like the dinner for two? If you don’t want that we recommend an appetizer or salad and three or four tacos per person! The clincher was we were in and out of there in 20 minutes. He ran the card and conveniently pushed the 25% tip which I caught and changed to 20% before signing the machine.

    I hate writing negative reviews, but we were very disappointed with the food and drinks. The service was excellent, we left feeling cheated on food quality. The margaritas were super sweet and could tell if they had alcohol.

    Nice meal - was recommended by a friend. Things started off well and the server was attentive, he upsold our drinks (which I was fine with as we were celebrating). We drank our water and he noted that and said he’d bring us some more. He never did. He then brought over a jug of water about 30mins later as well as our bill. He presented me with the option to leave a tip and had already clicked on the highest amount possible (25%). After having to wait for water then it being presented just before he asked for his tip.. on top of this we sat with our dirty plates in front of us for about half hour. Service didn’t justify 25% so I removed his selection and added 18% (still an extra $25!). He clearly wasn’t happy and went straight over to his colleagues to have a moan - they all stared at us and made us very uncomfortable. Left with a bad feeling about this place
