    Headed there early evening for dinner with our 2 teenage children. Everyone found something they liked and the food was prepared as described. Fun atmosphere with the open air ambiance and rustic furnishings. We will definitely be back!

    Great experience for a first time. It was also my second date and happened to be her favorite go-to Taco Tuesday spot. I really enjoyed the short rib tacos. The fresh guacamole was nice and chunky. The habanero sauce didn't have enough kick, for me, but it was still good. I will definitely visit again.

    Absolutely love Bakersfield's queso and margaritas, do think that both are overpriced by a few dollars. The tacos are also too small in my opinion for nearly $5. Did not like that the outdoor windows were open for the "summer seating" vibe, it's 95 degrees here in Charlotte in August, nearly 90 degrees even around dinner time. Appreciated the server starting our table out with waters without asking. Will be back! (tip, there's a second level for parking)

    Went on Taco Tuesday for $3 tacos. Place is very busy on Tuesdays, so the noise level was very high, and the service was a little slow. Food is as always spot on!

    I have to say I was disappointed in our dining experience this time. We have always loved Bakersfield and were excited to bring our out of town friends to dine there. Our server was great, food was great but the bar program was messed up. For some reason a pineapple mixer was used in our drinks and we did not order pineapple. We ordered and paid extra for a spicy drink and it was not spicy. This happened several times and we didn't t even have a manager come and address the issue.

    Once we were seated our server Jess was great. The issue is I made reservation and then stood there waiting for 30 minutes after that time to be seated. The host/hostess continued to seat other people that walked in and only accommodated me once I got upset and loud. What was the point of me making the reservation and confirming it for them to just ignore the fact that I should have been seated before the people walking in

    We enjoyed Bakersfield so much. We were 45 minutes late for our reservation due to traffic. They were so accommodating and seated us immediately. We had great service and the food, as always, was delicious.

    I thought the food here was really good but our service was terrible. I'm usually not bothered by loud restaurants but this one was extremely loud. Basically had to scream across the table at each other. The food came so fast but our waitress never even asked us if we wanted anything else and it took her and extremely long time to bring us out check.

    Made myself a rez for Mother’s Day! Maya was an excellent server, very attentive. Ruby Red margs are a must for a mama of three. The chips, guac & queso were super yummy. We had a vegetarian with us or we’d have gone full-on with queso adds. The short rib taco was my fave. Only wish we’d enjoyed seating by the open front windows!

    Great time out for national margarita day! Had a yummy spicy margarita pitcher, salsa and guac, and a couple tacos. First time here and will def be back! Loved the vibe of the place too, with the bar in the main space and garage doors opening out to the street. Great for family gatherings with the kids, day or night out with friends, or a cute little laid back date night.

    Was able to be seated early. Overall service was really good, the kitchen was backed up but our waitress let us know about it prior to ordering. With it being Valentine’s Day they gave out complimentary champagne to everyone which was so sweet.

    Food and drinks were really good and served quickly! Our issue with with our waiter. He got our order of drinks and appetizer (both came out quickly by members of the waitstaff) but he then waited another twenty minutes before he came back for the rest of our order. Then we asked repeatedly for napkins and silverware but he didn't bring them. My husband and I shared one napkin and one spoon for the entire meal!! I understand waiters get busy but it didn't seem like it was crowded or that the waiter was overwhelmed. And he went to a table next to us multiple times but kept forgetting us. My husband was so annoyed by the time we left that I doubt we'll ever go back.
