Good solid brunch. Service was great!
What’s nice is that this is a place you can reliably reserve for a Sunday brunch which is not something to take for granted. However I would not recommend booking through open table, every time I come with an open table reservation I get literally the worst tables that exist (it feels like there are two really bad tables that are reserved exclusively for open table guests) whereas the walk ins get much nicer seating. The food is okay, the service is slow because it gets very busy so look at the menu in advance so that you can order everything the minute someone comes to give you water and ask for the check as soon as the food arrives otherwise you’ll be there the whole day.
Our server was super professional & efficient & checked on us throughout the meal. Food so good, the temp of each dish perfect, & we loved the read Montalcino that we ordered.
And, before the meal began, the server shimmed our table to stablize it ~ without us having to ask!
We were seated in a very awkward and definitely makeshift table in what would have been a walkway out of the seating area. We were forced to stand up throughout our dinner in order to accommodate other people to leave to use the bathroom. It's very hard to enjoy a meal when you are forced to eat this way.
First time back since COVID struck and everything exceeded expectations. The black pasta with seafood was excellent and the no rush service was truly appreciated. Perhaps it was a function of a slow midweek night but it made us appreciate the space and food all the more.
We had a great evening! The food was so delicious, the value for money is the best we got in New York! Very recommended!!!
rushed service and no decaf coffee....................
Great food and drinks as always! Very reasonable prices
“Meh” describes the experience overall. Mediocre food, excessively noisy crowd. The service would have been fine were it not rushed to the point of rudeness. We were told upon entering we had to give up the table at a certain time, and our hurried waitstaff was a constant reminder the clock was ticking. Probably the right place for a young, 20-something crowd looking to upscale their evening. Absolutely the wrong place for 40-something gals looking for a leisurely dinner over which to chat and enjoy a great meal. Other than my company, this wasn’t special.
Great place. Food was excellent. Service was great.
1. Wouldn’t seat me without my +1 even though I was ready to order for both of us. This policy makes no sense when you’re strictly enforcing time limits and when the guests are able to order for everyone immediately
2. Very very hot in the back of the restaurant
3. Time limit of 1 hr for brunch is crazy when it takes 25 mins to get coffee and when you can’t find your server for another 15 mins
4. Food was good but nothing memorable honestly
Food was excellent but it gets busy-- so much so that our server forgot to bring our beverage order.
It was okay overall, but they were rushing us to leave towards the end and we hadn’t hit the two-hour mark yet (as outlined in their policy for our group size). They tried to take half-full drinks from the table and repeatedly asked to pick up plates when people were still grazing. I understand tables need to turn over, but it wasn’t a good feeling. Nevertheless, It was still a good time.
Baker & Co. came through yet again. The excellent servers didn't blink an eye when my large party all talked at the same time, wavered on their choices, changed their mind ... The entrees--ranging from the delicious lasagna to the tasty branzino to my standby, the octopus (actually an appetizer)--were uniformly wonderful. So happy to have this reliably great restaurant within walking distance. Thanks to the staff for indulging our quirks and indecision.
Perfect weekend brunch on a patio! We keep going back <3
We enjoyed a great brunch at Baker & co, and my table particularly enjoyed the spinach & ricotta gnudi and the French toast. The indoor seating area is a bit small, and there wasn't a ton of air flow but the food was delicious.
I went here with my dear friend for my birthday and ... WOW! I love the diversity in food options, with also the ability to get some fan favorites. SO highly recommend this place!
We had an absolutely delicious dinner. We started with four appetizers, the meatballs, fried artichokes, lamb sausage and grilled octopus. All were prepared perfectly and served with salads, which was a bonus. The pasta special and parchment wrapped branzino were both yummy. Service was efficient, and friendly. We will definitely return.
not my favorite place and the food was not that good or may favorite. It lacked flavor and was very bitter
Sweet 16 Birthday brunch was fabulous! The Nutella French toast was a huge hit as were the burger and prosciutto pizza. The atmosphere is charming, service was highly attentive and food was delicious. Highly recommend
Great food and service!
Charming relaxed atmosphere, beautifully prepared food and pleasant friendly service.
continue to love this place. good quality food, great ambiance, good drinks. such a hidden gem.
Food and service was great.
We sat out on the back patio with one group of five sat on one side of us and a group of eight on the other and it was really loud. The staff all seemed anxious and unhappy.
The food and wine were good though, esp the calamari.
Great time! Food was amazing, drinks were very good. Very cute spot for a Sunday brunch!
Food was great, awesome spot. Server was a bit impersonal but not a deal breaker.
Excellent dinner! Branzino cooked in paper was delicious as was the charred octopus. Perfect place for a business meal or date night. Lovely staff.
Came here for brunch with friends. The back patio area is really cute and the waitress was really nice and attentive. Had a mishap when we ordered drinks (bus boy sent the wrong one) and they let us have it for free and got us what we originally wanted. The food was alright. I had the crab benedict. They gave a lot of crab but it didn't seem fresh. I would've much preferred a small amount of crab that was fresh. Our eggs in our benedict were all a bit overdone, which means no runny egg (the best part about benedicts other than the hollandaise sauce). Other than that, still a great place to dine in and get brunch with friends.
Good place for a brunch meetup. The private dining room was so nice and the food was very good!
One of my go to restaurants in NYC. Love this place. Really great quality food. Great staff.
We were running a little late and the host called to see if we were still coming. We were only around the block so it wasn’t an issue and I really appreciated that! We got brunch and the food was really good. We also had the table inside but against the sidewalk with the windows open so it was very pleasant.
Such a great spot for Sunday brunch! Staff was absolutely lovely and accommodating. We were able to sit in the back patio and felt like a little oasis. The brunch menu was delicious and everyone left satisfied.
Great experience from the moment we walked in. The manager was friendly, bartender made amazing drinks, and our server was attentive and efficient. On top of an amazing experience with customer service, the food was amazing! Definitely recommend this place anyone looking for an all around great experience.
Would never eat there again- I had a 2 person reservation, we were 10 minutes behind and they said they could not seat us, they had these wood stool pop ups they offered, even though they had full open tables 2 seaters available. - the mac & cheese was horrid. It was 95 degrees and they had the doors open so on top of being uncomfortably seated, with bad food I was sweating to death. - NEVER AGAIN.
The 95 degree heat was a challenge for the AC, and we managed to confuse the servers a bit as far as who got what when, but the food was exceptional (the Paccheri was a wonderfully summery pasta featuring lamb, which is kind of a neat trick) the wine list is fun and reasonably priced and the service was friendly and warm. And the lighting is perfect for those seeking a little drama on their Instagram.
I thought it was great
Very trendy place!!!
Just fine. Good vibes on the patio though
I enjoyed Baker & Co. The space is tiny so we were very crammed in but it wasn’t unbearable. Given the circumstances and having to have up plastic dividers it was definitely more tight than normal. Food was good, ambience was good, price point was good. Would recommend!
