Great food, and friendly staff. But Covid policies force customers to rush through their meal due to seating time limit per table.
Great food, great atmosphere. Felt very rushed to get out after 45 minutes. The bill was bought to us and we wanted to order another set of drinks! That was disappointing.
Came here with some coworkers and we were able to sit on the back patio outside. Had a very nice time, food and drinks were great!
We enjoyed the food, however the server made me think twice about whether or not to return. After a delicious brunch, she was visibly upset when we asked to see a dessert menu. She then told us we only had 10 minutes left when she presented it to us. We immediately decided not to order anything more and asked for the check. When she brought the check she refused to try and accommodate two payment methods, my guest had ordered additional food to go so I was trying to pay for the two items I had. The server was again aggravated at our small request. Even the table next to us noticed. The food was great, but the establishment should remind servers that NYC has great food everywhere and diners will spend their money where they feel appreciated.
diners were rushed to complete their meal quickly so the table could be turned. for this price point, that is a bit offensive.
The food was absolutely incredible and so reasonably priced. The charred octopus was cooked perfectly, and the lasagna ranks among our favorite in the city. The wait staff, despite it being a busy night, were incredibly attentive. Can’t wait to come back!
Felt very rushed and noisy 2/5
Food was good though - 4/5
Drinks okay - 2/5
Came here to celebrate an anniversary and glad to have found this spot! We ordered the octopus appetizer, truffle fries, tagliatelle, seafood pasta and everything was very yummy. In terms of cocktails, highly recommend the Bleecker St Margarita - perfectly blended and one of the best margaritas I've had.
The only negative feedback is that we were first seated near the door and there was a lively party of 4 next to us. While there was a plastic screen separating us, we got a bit nervous about the close distance as it was also difficult to hear ourselves talking to each other. Thankfully, our server agreed to move us to a different table and we had a lovely rest of the meal. Overall, excellent service and great food for a good price.
Great food, great service and while we had a limit on table time, we didn’t feel rushed at all by the staff- first time, and will def be back soon
Went for Sunday Brunch and the ambiance was fantastic as well as the menu. We were told we only had an hour due to the number of reservations they had that morning, and were also in a rush so that was fine. We then ordered and waited 45 minutes for our food, which left us with 15 minutes to eat. The waitress was very nice and apologetic when we asked about our food, but it did come out with an overcooked burger (ordered medium-rare). The waitress was again very apologetic and kind, offered to comp our lattes since we didn't have time to wait for another burger. Would go back to try dinner as this seemed like a busy morning and abnormal experience here. The eggs benedict, bacon, and espresso martinis were great!
Lovely ambiance and food was delicious. Servers seemed a little confused but that could be a factor of all the covid related changes and new staff. Highly recommend.
Great place, food, service!
Very romantic inside and out. The team works very hard to uphold their quality service. Never had any issues with getting a table. I’ve gone on dates and a nice outing. Definitely would recommend. Price is high but quality is worth it.
Host was rude and they let you know as soon as you sat down that you’d need to leave in an hour and 15 minutes. It put a damper on the brunch meanwhile we waited probably 15 minutes to get our first drink and there were plenty of open tables when we left so there was no need for him to have rushed us.
Food and service was great, but the accommodations were not very comfortable as the patio was really packed and customers were crammed in.
cute intimate restaurant with great ambiance! The seafood pasta was superb! I will definitely return. Server margarita was extremely attentive and sweet.
Amazing food and great brunch spot. Could be a small or large group and either way a great time
Food is outstanding.
The host and the servers were nice! Would definitely come again for brunch. Personal favorite was the croquettes and the Nutella French Toast.
Overcrowded with large tables during a pandemic; food cold, service slow - I’ll never go again.
They took forever to bring our food out and didn't bring one entre out until an hour after we put in the order. They brought out our calamari appetizer with 30 mins left of the dinner and completely forgot our order to truffle fries. The food was okay at best and service was terrible.
Ambience was great given it's in a trendy area of the city, but the food was unexpectedly subpar despite the mostly positive reviews and exotic menu descriptions. My 'honeyed yogurt' salmon eggs benedict was merely a layer of plain greek yogurt beneath totally cooked through poached eggs (well-done, which I did NOT request) with a teensy bit of what might pass as hollandaise sauce on top.. extremely disappointed in that the whole point of getting an egg benedict is the runny yolk/hollandaise sauce experience!🤣 To their credit, the custard cream that accompanied their French toast was bomb, but overall, a lackluster experience.
The food wasn't great, it lacked taste and it didn't satisfy me. The service was also clearly upset after a confusion with my order resulting in me and my friend feeling uncomfortable throughout our brunch.
Great food and service. Followed CoVID protocols as well.
Took a date to Baker and Co on Saturday night. First time there, but read the reviews and thought to give it a shot. Definitely wasn't disappointed. The food was terrific, especially the octopus, which I have found chewy in so many other places, but here it was flavorful and tender. I had the Gnudi, which are like large Gnocchi, there were not only flavorful, but a lot lighter than gnocchi, I didn't feel all full and bloated after dinner. The only thing, and I am not sure if this is a COVID thing, but my dated wanted a martini and we were limited to just what was on the cocktail menu. Again, not sure if they are just limiting their inventory over the pandemic, which is understanable or if this is normal for them. It woudl be nice to have a full bar, but it didn't take away from the experience, and it will stop me from going back.
The best brunch i've had in NY.
It was a beautiful sunny day, sat outside, food 10/10 and service was also so good.
can't wait to come back.
We got seated outside next to a cbd / smoke shop playing arabian rap. Food was good and service was good. Wish we sat indoors.
I've been going to Baker & Co for almost 5 years now but haven't been in about 2 or so. I was disappointed at my return since I have really awesome memories. They limited our reservation to only an hour, but it took nearly 30 minutes for our food to be served. The indoor setup looks exactly as it did pre-pandemic and I did not feel safe at all covid-wise. The host wasn't exactly welcoming and made us feel extremely rushed.
Have been here several times, usually for brunch. This time came for dinner. It was good as usual. Remember no hard liquor here. We were in the back space which was rather tight. If you are nervous about being in close quarters with people, avoid seating in the back space.
Relaxing atmosphere. Great food. Disconnected from the busy streets outside in NYC. Great place to relax and enjoy a fresh delicious meal
Big thumbs up for Baker & Co. Walked by one afternoon admiring the cute sidewalk setup, and was surprised by the Italian menu and cool drink offerings, because I thought it was a coffee shop. We made reservations the next weekend for dinner and found the food, staff and setting all top rate! We sat in the backyard covered patio - very comfortable on a 35 degree night!! We shared the delicious fried calamari and risotto croquettes . We each had a different pasta and each enjoyed them immensely! What an adorable setting, friendly staff and delicious, menu! Nothing cookie cutter about Baker & Co. Its clear the quality, presentation and preparation of their food and drink is of the utmost importance!
Hamburger was poor. Fries were very solid
Had a nice, quiet brunch at this place (never mind a couple of passersby who were talking too loudly on their phones 🤦🏻♀️). Ordered two eggs and a side of bacon - generous portions for a side (4 thick slices) but a bit too salty for me. Outdoor heating good. Quaint table setting. Very professional staff. Overall, a good experience. Would go back.
I've always walked by this place and wanted to try it. So glad our Valentine's Day dinner was our first experience. Cozy and delicious. My partner says we should eat here more often!
Great food and a beautiful spacious restaurant with rustic old west village interior.
Good place, food was good.
Bathroom stayed very busy and always had a wait.
Restaurant was cold and stay was semi-friendly.
Wait staff was easier to interact with.
Outstanding food and atmosphere. Very courteous staff. The burrata ravioli is worth every last calorie!
Went here for brunch on a cold Sunday with a pretty big group (6 ppl) and it was amazing! The food was good but the heated garden area was the best, so warm and comfortable.
Would defiantly recommend for brunch!
