The new Bakarò restaurant in Venice offers a menu dedicated to traditional specialities
local, a taste trip through typical dishes, from finger food to desserts,
recipes of the past, but proposed with a new presentation, fresh and appealing.
Located in Campo Santa Margherita (in the Dorsoduro district) Bakarò wants to be a safe port
for those who want a lunch or a dinner full of good traditional cuisine. Do not give up

Could do many things gluten free but nothing marked on the menu. I got the tuna, it was ok but not very flavorful. My husband got the ribs and liked them.

This restaurant had superior service . The best enter out of three was the Carbonara. Absolutely delicious . All three appetizers were excellent. We sat inside across from the beautiful painting of the Joker. Beautiful spot

I really wanted to like this place, nice interior, good pasta but the service was just awful. Our waiter ignored us after being served, I got his attention and he acknowledged it then we never saw him until it was time to pay. His manner went from indifference to rude. Pass this one up.

Good food isn’t an excuse for lousy service. Food was very good but the service was extremely lacking. We had reservations months in advance and the three of us were seated at a table for two, my wife, our toddler son, and myself. Not once did a third glass get brought out for him, nor a third place setting, third napkin, nothing. Again, location was nice and the food was very tasty, but I’ve had better service from a McDonald’s drive through.

My entree was served 15 minutes before my partners. I truly believe they forgot his entree ( a burger) but when questioned about where it was, the waiter said it was still being prepared. Other than that the food was fresh and hot, as well as plentiful.

Burrata starter did not taste like traditional burrata cheese. We had burgers for main course - AVOID. Massive black hair inside one of the burgers so had to be sent back, the other burger was mushy and had been covered in a bright pink jam that we were told was caramelised onion. The fries on the side had a horrible after taste. The wine was fine. When we complained they replaced the burger but it was still not edible. They finally removed the burger with the hair in from the bill but really I’d have expected to not be charged for any food. Wouldn’t go backX
