An outdoor dining oasis. You can sit outside and imagine you are in any city in the world. Great, accommodating servers like Sara and Eduardo make this place pasta happiness
This was such a perfect dining experience for a lovely fall evening. The food and beverages were outstanding, our server was awesome, and the ambiance was incredible. I am already planning a return visit while the weather is still good.
We arrived at Il Patio on time for our reservation only to find out the entire patio was reserved for a private party. The staff were unapologetic and claimed they called even though I had no missed call or voicemail. They were incredibly unprofessional.
Lovely lunch! Beautiful setting, perfect heirloom tomatoes, excellent service.
Bread for the table retrieved directly from refrigerator and brought to our table along with an olive oil that had a very sharp aftertaste.
Under cooked Arincini without much flavor for an appetizer.
Husband enjoyed his bolognese.
Daughter had beef filled ravioli which was just ok, not warm enough.
I had roasted eggplant ravioli which had not been drained adequately, no flavor, just a couple of cut up tomatoes tucked in and it too was not an adequate temp.
Food brought to our table by person other than the waiter, and as so often happens…no one checks back to see if everything is ok, if anything else is needed.
Asked for check which then took another 15 minutes…
Eataly needs to just stick with being a market and forget trying to be an Italian restaurant.
Would skip and head to the North End for sure.
Not worth the money
Very nice set up for outdoor dining. Great cocktails. Enthusiastic service.
But the food wasn’t quite as good as on previous visits - pasta was undercooked (beyond al dente) and some of the focaccia on the salumi board was too hard to eat. Also my pasta arrived 10-15 minutes before my dining companions pizza, which wasn’t ideal.
Oysters were fantastic. Also had the Cacio De Pepe and a salad that were outstanding.
Good food, good seating in Patio, food quality as expected very good… unfortunately drinking one alcoholic is none not even sparkling water or coke
Food was delicious. Service was good but food was slow. Would go back
It was raining so we ate inside. Food was very good as was service. Noisy inside but otherwise great.
Food was good but some of the items that were fried were dried out. Also the glass of wine was half full which should have been noted.
Food was below average
Our server was great but food delivery was uneven.
The Marinara pizza was too soggy.
We’d planned to eat in the patio but our group of 6 ended up on the mezzanine by the escalators. It was very open and felt physically distanced enough. Food was delicious!
Fantastic service! Amazing food! Awesome environment! Cannot wait to come back
While it's all on a patio on busy Boylston Street just outside the Prudential Center, it's still a great place for happy hour. The cocktails are delicious and strong enough, and the Shuck-a-Buck oyster special is the big draw for us. We also split the Cavoletti salad (6 stars if I could), and a wood-fired pizza. Perfect meal!
A beautiful garden right in the middle of the city! Food drinks and atmosphere all fabulous
Had an awesome time! Oysters were delish (+ if you go during Happy Hour they are $1), cocktails were fun and refreshing, staff super friendly attentive, patio so cozy and colorful; we felt transported from Boylston Street's sidewalk to a Summer Soiree in Italy. No, really! We had too many oysters and bread to order anything but the dishes and pizzas we saw at other tables looks ahhhmazing! Highly recommend and can't wait to be back.
Excellent. Loved the food. Server was nice
Delightful staff, delicious food, great atmosphere!
Great patio food was great!
While our food arrived at different times, because it is crafted in different kitchens, it was cold and without much flavor. We asked for a couple of common items* which were unavailable and almost like we ignorant to ask. It took a long time to engage with any staff. The events/specials listed on table placards weren't available in a couple of cases. The outdoor seating and ambiance still allowed us to enjoy our time together.
*to swap out a pasta style on a dish and if there were any sides or appetizers with a meatball option
The patio is a great little setup. However, they haven’t quite figured it out. The food comes from the different restaurants inside Eataly, and will come at different times. Pizza from one place, chicken from another, etc. It took 30 mins to find out if they could make an Old Fashioned and then another 15 to retrieve a Peroni after they decided they could not. Better outdoor dining options in Boston, and you’re better off just going to one of the indoor options if you’re looking for the Eataly experience
Excellent mixed drinks and a great selection of wine and ciders. The patio space is great, perfect for a summer afternoon/evening. The food is tasty although not particularly creative.
Donye the waiter was great. He was attentive and quick.
We always go to Eataly because the food is really good. We tried Il Patio yesterday. The pasta which my daughter ordered was really good. However, the 2 pizza pies which I and my other daughter ordered arrived really late. We asked the waiter to check and in one minute, they gave us 2 cold pies. It looked like they forgot to serve the pizza. We will still go back to Eataly but we prefer dining inside where the kitchen is closer.
Great place to meet people for lunch in the sun, and then enjoy a walk down Newbury towards the park
I had high expectations. Everything was just okay. It was mentioned that food will come out a different times because there’s separate kitchens for pizza, pasta etc. Pizza came out first, not the best. It was about 10 minutes later until we all got our food. Not hot, tasted like it was sitting out. I got the Quadrati, spinach and ricotta ravioli; small portion, ravioli had
very little filling. I was still hungry. I wanted to order dessert but I spent way too much money on a dinner that was just okay. Not worth it.
Lovely outdoor space, great food, goof service. What’s not to love.
Great drinks and atmosphere… perfect for getting together with friends!
The food was ok but overpriced. Not much variety. Nothing super special. I expected more. Molecola us underwhelming. Tutto sommato, molto generico.
Lovely setting. There was no umbrella where we were seated so it did get a little warm. The food was very good and a decent value. We had a pizza and a prosciutto and cheese platter. Wine/drink selection was very good. The sparkling rose and the frose were both fun to drink. Service was friendly and at a good pace.
The food here was amazing ! I ordered a flatbread and my husband had a pasta dish. We both loved our food Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. I got my entree before the appetizer and when I pointed out we didn’t get the app yet the server simply said they come from different kitchens so that happens. My husbands entree didn’t come for another 20 minuets so mine sat getting cold while we waiting for the app and his entree. Again no apology from the server. Go for great food and ambiance but don’t expect service to match.
Ambience was nice, outdoors, “covid OK”.
The non-alcoholic beverages menu was extremely limited..water and one type of soft drink.
There was also an extremely limited kids menu. 2 options.
Alcoholic drinks were small, more ice than the drink.
The staff was very friendly.
Il Patio was fun and the food was very good.
I was surprised (even though it's outdoors) only two Staff people, I saw, were wearing masks.
I think all serving and busing Staff should still wear masks.
My only other negative was - we couldn't get an espresso after dinner. I think the machine was broken.
I recommend this place because I think the food is great and I liked being outside.
I would have been much more comfortable if all Staff were masked.
We were running late to our reservation and we received a reply from the restaurant no problem, we will see you soon. When we arrived at 9:30pm (they close at 10pm) they told
Us the kitchen was close and we could not be seated. The customer service was poor and nothing was done to help resolve the problem. The manager said “oh we don’t receive those texts back”. I have been in the restaurant industry for a long time and if you close at 10pm, you should be able to seat customers and let them eat up until then. Will not be returning.
Loved the food and drinks, the menu is great! I wish it was a little bit more private from the foot traffic going in and out of the store. Get rid of high top and open an actual outdoor bar.
Perfect summers day for lunch on Il Patio. Know that the food comes out as its ready, not all at once. This suited us fine as we were there to catch up and grazing between chatting was great. The servers were all a pleasure to deal with as was the hostess. Can be shady so have a sweater handy and enjoy.
Great outdoor spot. A little oasis in the city. Food is good. Service efficient.
