Baiku Sushi Lounge
First visit to SLU area. Was happy with everything l ordered and will visit again. Had some roll combinations I had not seen before and they were delicious.
Have eaten here 3 times and it’s always great. Definitely one if the best sushi places I’ve been to
Baiku Sushi is a cool, chic spot that is definitely worth the price! Some of the best sushi in St. Louis City.
Fox Theatre show
I totally recommend it! Our hostess and waitress were super nice and helpful. The food came out fast and it was such a cool environment! Extremely affordable for getting fresh sushi!
First visit to Baiku before the Fox. Very friendly and attentive staff. Sushi was very fresh and very well prepared. The restaurant had a very trendy, cool vibe. Will certainly return!
We haven’t been to restaurant in a few years and was in neighborhood and decided to return
Excellent food overall. In particular the homemade pot stickers were fabulous. Not to be missed. We had sushi and a ramen noodle dish which was also good. Service was excellent. We will be back
Had a great and relaxing meal at Baiku. We went after the theater crowd so had our choice of tables and the full attention of our waitress. We ate all sushi and fish carpaccio and everything was very fresh and tasty. Great cocktails as well.
Excellent service, fun atmosphere, prompt and delicious appetizers and sushi. We will return!!
I say at the sushi bar. The food was excellent. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
The chef who prepared our sushi and other items was most helpful in deciding what and how much to order. Every bite was so satisfying.
Excellent choice for dinner if you are going to a concert or event at Chaifetz. Within walking distance to venue. Reservations are definitely recommended. They can fill up fast!
What a terrible experience! Service was bad, sat for 35 mins with no drinks, server had a ride, they plated everyones food together despite shellfish and gluten allergies. Bad overall, will not recommend!
Mr. Kenji is still the reigning sushi master in the StL area, and the ingredients he selects to create his inventive menu are always fresh and delicious.
The servers know that guests are often rushing to shows in Grand Center, and they are happy to move things along to ensure that you make it on time...or slow it down for a more casual pace. Always a treat!
The atmosphere at Baiku is just as we like it--the lighting is intimate yet cheerful. The servers are friendly and professional. The times we have been there, it has a good crowd, but not overly busy. Food is always delicious.
We tried Baiku on the recommendation of knowledgeable friends who promised the best sushi in St. Louis. We're not sushi aficionados, but on our first visit, a pre-theatre Valentine's Day treat, it was love at first bite!! Friendly staff greeted us and John provided expert advice. We enjoyed the excellent white bordeaux and. as starters, the salmon carpaccio and the generously proportioned tuna poke with plenty of seaweed and Japanese veggies. The recommended fisher-san roll was perfect; the lobster pot sticker, so-so. We've already recommended Baiku to friends and we promise to come back when we have more time. Thanks to John, who discovered we'd left a credit card with the check and ran down the block to catch us, we'll be able to afford another round, the sooner the better!
This is a great spot for a quiet quick and tasty meal before a show at the nearby Fox Theater.
Cool place to eat with awesome food!
We went last year for the first time after a show at The Fox. Now we go every time we see a show. If you like sushi you’ll love this place!
Amazing sushi and friendly staff!
They were fantastic!! Great service, great food. We came in with a large party (20 people) and they accommodated us beautifully.
Great service, good selection of sushi, great beverage and cocktail selection
This restaurant offers delicious sushi at a reasonable price. The service was exceptional. Our server, Nicole, was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu options. I would recommend this spot for a preshow dinner if you are going to the Fabulous Fox.
Nice cozy lounge. Sat at a table and had a great experience. Would def recommend to a friend.
Amazing interior and great food🙌 waiters were friendly and food was served quick. Cant wait togo again!
Love Baiku. 2nd visit there. Food is fresh, delicious, and "pretty." Great place for a before-the-show dinner!
Sushi is hands down the best in STL!
Ever since moving from Connecticut, we have been in search of a good sushi restaurant. We were excited to try this new one.
The edamame was good, but it was your typical dish.
The salads were quite tasty and I liked the fact that they used Spring Mix and not iceberg lettuce.
The rolls were freshly made and the fish seemed fresh, however, despite some good aspects of the meal we will still continue to search for a great sushi restaurant.
This restaurant is quite close to the theatre and sports arena so it is a great place to catch a quick meal.
Tried several items and all wonderful with excellent presentation. Just scrumptious.
The food was not very good and certainly not even close to authentic Japanese. However, our waiter was fantastic and the sake we settled on was delicious. Pricey but really really good.
Hidden gem! Loved it. Great staff and superior sushi. Creative too. We'll be back
So glad a friend recommended this place. Food was fresh and delicious. Not your every-day sushi. Steve was one of the best servers we've ever had. Friendly, informative, funny. Highly recommend!
Seriously, some of the best Sushi I've had with the only exception being in an actual coastal city. I was really blown away by the quality of everything we tried here and our waitress was super nice as well. Will definitely come back of ever in the area.
Really fresh Sushi, generous portions and our server was wonderful!
Good food, nice atmosphere, good service and fairly speedy, a bit pricey.
Overall a nice change for pre-FOX Theatre dining.
This was my 2nd time dining at Baiku. I was impressed enough the first time to schedule a graduation dinner.
The food was very good, the music a little bit loud (but the scratchy speakers were an issue).
I was very disappointed in the service this time. Our water glasses were continually filled but after raving about how much we would love the “Shooter” special, it was never delivered to us.
We were one of only two parties, so our waiter, Steve, wasn’t too busy. I have no idea why after making such a big deal over the dish, we wouldn’t have received it with our order. (Yes, my husband did order it.)
When I got the bill, I asked if the Shooter had been deducted, as we hadn’t gotten it.
Steve seemed surprised but said, “yes, it was taken off”.
I really didn’t know if it had been taken off or not.
The dishes were listed in their Japanese names.
However, I won’t be back.
Good food but disappointing service.
Well, except for the water.
Excellent food and service-great date night atmosphere-close to Fox for Theatre night-
Fried rice was drowned in syrup and sweet soy sauce. So was the unagi and the vegi roll. This falls with the majority of Asian restaurants that make everything sweet and nothing authentic. I guess this is what Americans want, though. So enjoy!
Helpful waiter with suggestions of wine, specials, sushi and portion sizes. Deliciously fresh flavorful sushi. Nice complementary wine list. Finally an Atmosphere for talking.
Great place to go prior to a show at the Fox. The atmosphere is wonderful and the sushi was good (and I usually don't care for it).
The sushi was all very tasty and high quality (highly recommend the Clover roll), drinks were strong, and you can't go wrong with 20% off your bill for happy hour. The service was quick at first but slowed down as the restaurant filled. We ended up having to give our credit cards to another waiter because ours was busy and we needed to leave to catch a show. Great location, easy parking out front, and nice modern interior. Would definitely return!
