I’ve been to Baia twice. The first time was incredibly impressive — great service, amazing food. This last time, not as great (by a lot). We arrived at 7p on a Wednesday to learn they were out of their signature garlic knots already. That was pretty disappointing, and a bit confusing — out of bread? At 7p? On a Wednesday? Our server was very friendly, but the service was so, so a low. It’s likely they were just understaffed, as that is a reality of COVID, but the meal took well over two hours, not by our design. The pizza was good, albeit a little salty. Pasta dishes were met with “just okay” reviews. The menu had changed, so I sadly couldn’t reorder the spicy sausage pesto pasta that was so impressive on the first visit. So, we might give this a tie breaking 3rd try, but no time soon.

Brunch never disappoints. I opted for the "Sausage and Egg" pizza and was blown away. This has quickly become my favorite vegan spot EVER.

Best vegan Italian food I’ve ever had!

The food was really tasty although the portions are quite small. Unfortunately, the service was lacklustre, inattentive and rushed. The waiter did not seem to know the menu and had a hard time explaining the dishes. He only asked us how the meal was when he brought the check.... something I don’t expect from a relatively pricey restaurant. Lastly, they brought the appetisers and entree out almost immediately. Our dinner was over in 30 minutes from start to finish. Perhaps they are just getting their bearings, but unclear if we will be back.

Based on other reviews, I knew the food would be fantastic, and it very much delivered. Great presentation and delicious. Fun cocktail menu as well. Service was prompt and attentive. A worthy resident of the city's best restaurant space.

We were super disappointed in all of the food. Would not recommend coming here if you aren’t vegan. Over salted and put lemon/yeast on everything. Nothing was super flavorful and food was over salted and bland. I don’t usually write reviews but we were pretty disappointed in the quality of food. Even the impossible meatballs had no flavor and my partner and I love impossible meat.

We didn't realize it was a Plant Based menu, everything we had ordered was outstanding. Wait service very good. Would go again and get the Aranchini & any of the Pastas.

This is San Francisco's new 5-star vegan restaurant. The inside of the building is amazing and the food is fantastic.

Not ready for prime time. I see where they are going and I hope they get there but dousing everything in vinegar or lemon is not delicious and making people wait 25 plus minutes for a drink is not relaxing.

Disappointed in the service. They were 25 minutes late for the reservation and forgot our order. It was closing time when they realized they hadn't fed us and rushed out our food at 9:30 at night. Great ambiance and great cocktails and bar.

Birthday. Expensive $220.00 for quality of food and service. Table rarely cleared. Burnt pizza, tiny serving of pasta. Desserts were nothing special. Would not recommend.

WOW my favorite restaurant in SF now. Staff was so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. Will most definitely be coming back!

Love love love this spot. The pizzas are amazing (I’m gluten free and the crust is spectacular). Delicious cocktails as well. Get in there!

We were so excited for the vegan and gluten free Italian-inspired options. However, the food fell a bit short on flavor. The mushroom pizza didn’t really deliver on the promised truffle oil, and mozzarella sticks were not very exciting.

This place has some great promise, may try it again in the future. The ambiance and building are wonderful.

Fantastic food as always, but service was slow. Team did not bring out the orders in a timely manner and required reminders on what we actually ordered.

Fast, great service with incredible food and cocktails/wine

Great restaurant for food allergies. Great ambiance, delicious cocktails, and great food. It’s a bit expensive for what you get but a very nice time.

The mushroom pizza was delectable! The pastas were excellent and the garlic knots were not to be missed! Everything came out very very quickly (almost too quickly) so order your apps first and wait to order entrees or they will all come out at once.

Amazing food, ambiance and service. My non-vegan friends loved it too.
