Bai Tong Thai Restaurant - Capitol Hill
Salmon w/ fried rice: Fried rice was excellent, salmon was dry and over cooked to the point of being partially inedible on the edges.
Chicken Panang Curry - Good curry but no rice on the side, have to get extra.
Shrimp Pad Thai - Sweetest sugary pad Thai ever - ended up leaving some on the plate, which has happened, NEVER.
Fried tofu appetizer: No salt, no flavour, dry as a bone tofu without sauce.
Fried fish cakes: spongy, deep fried and weirdly chewy. The sauce was inedibly sweet with no balance at all.
Overall $100 including tip (no alcohol) for a below average meal that o would not repeat.

Crispy garlic chicken!
The food was amazing and reminded me of the month I spent in Thailand. The service was lackluster and didn’t impress from the moment we were seated. Our server, Mateo, couldn’t less thrilled to be working.
I would definitely eat the food, just would need to order take away!!
I am okay with subpar service, given the food is outstanding. Please eat here and enjoy authentic food.
The staff gracefully accommodated our group of 13 with reliable and friendly service. Two of our orders were slightly inaccurate, but still delicious. Lively atmosphere, tasty cocktails and sake.
It’s great. Just need to have the servers a little more responsive.
This place is always amazing for the value, location, and drink + food quality.
Every time I go and sit by the bar, their door always shoots cold air in. I old of wish they had a double door system on the entrance.
We enjoyed happy hour dining on a snowy evening. Very nice restaurant with a deep menu. We will return.
Great atmosphere and incredible food that isnt too pricey.
Our first time in this restaurant. Food & ambiance were great. However, the service is awful. We were there on a weekday with many tables open. We stayed there less than two ours but we’ve never felt so rush in our lives. We were still finishing the food & already collecting the plates, as if we were being kick out! Bad, bad, bad. Never coming back to this place.
Always great place for Thai food. Custom cocktails are delicious!
Great food and service. Excellent value for money. Staff friendly and attentive. I had Red Curry which was amazing.
We didn’t go to the one on Capital Hill. We ate at the Issaquah-Highlands location. All these ratings go to the I-H location!
Perfect dining experience, the food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. Our group of four had a great experience at Bai Tong Thai.
Our server was great and the food was delicious. It took too long to get our pre-meal cocktails.
Great variety of dishes large and small. Great seating options.
Really nice restaurant with great food. We had a large group and the service was fast, they helped us take pictures of our group and even provided a suprise desert for the birthday celebration. Super fun event.
The food was so much better than the typical Thai fare. The pad see ewe, for example, was more flavorful and expertly done than is usual.
Standout items: 1) chicken wrapped in pandan leaves, then fried; and 2) crispy pork belly.
Big comfy booths were nice, too.
Went here for my birthday. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed the food we ordered. The cashew chicken was clean taste and very delicious. Swimming rama with peanut also taste great with brown rice. The dessert mango with glutinous rice and coconut sauce was very flavorful because of the fresh mango pieces and not too sweet. This restaurant is in the Gay City area with lots of heavy foot traffic. Parking if you go after 2 pm has not been difficult for us. Servers are very pleasant and helpful. Would go back again and recommend. The only problem we had was second hand smoke from passers by hrough the wide open large windows on most sides.
"Lunch specials"as how the restaurant calls it, could be shared by 2-3 people just fyi. Overall, great place to eat! I am definitely coming back!
The food was great, I would definitely recommend it. The wait staff was great and very helpful with the menu selections. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience.
Excellent service. Menu and food not as good at Tukwila location
I've been going to Bai Tong since they were on 99 by the airport and its still the best Thai food I have EVER had. This spot is particularly elevated and I loved the streetfood options along with the traditional dishes.
Really enjoyed Restaurant Week lunch menu. Yellow curry was delish, good rice, came hot. Hubs loved his Swimming Rama. Go!
Terrible service. The special spicy chicken weas anything but spicy, even though we asked for it to be 4 out of 5 stars!!! Greasy and not appetizing. We will never be back again.
Very high quality and fresh ingredients. Both traditional and fusion dishes. Service was very knowledgeable and "present".
Had a great time at Bai Tong! We had a group of 9 people on a Saturday night and were able to get a reservation on short notice. Everyone who helped us was super friendly and the food was delicious. Would recommend!
Incredible flavors. Bona fide Thai. I would recommend this to anyone looking for great food and atmosphere. Energy!
Daughter’s birthday
Very friendly service and tasty good. I'll be back.
