Had a great dinner here with the whole family.. everything was great.. service was friendly and efficient, seafood was perfectly cooked and super fresh.. we love the authenticity and history of this restaurant!
The service, food and atmosphere are exceptional. The prices are a little overpriced but overall it was an exceptional evening.
Entered the restaurant to a warm greeting from the host. We were promptly seated in an open space dining room, with a nice view of the river. The dining room was a throwback to an earlier time, but I found it warm and inviting. Our waitress was an older lady, war and pleasant. Food service was very good, no hold ups and our waitress assessed our desire for a more leisurely pace to our dining experience.
Our meal was well prepared and presented. Price was a little stiff, but that is to be expected with seafood. Bahrs is an old restaurant relatively untouched by time, it’s a throwback but I think they can teach modern restaurants how to prepare, serve, and treat people with warmth.
A go to place for birthday celebrations...always a good meal & great service!
Love the atmosphere great service and excellent food. They also have a gift store.
And in the summer they have outside seating That's when I go every weekend.
winter months at least once a month
We simply love to go there. Love the location and the nautical atmosphere and ambiance. Between the seafood and the German food there is always something that will satisfy each of our whims.
We returned to Bahr's after not travelling 40 miles to it, and we regret not going more often. The service was excellent though the restaurant was fairly crowded as it was Valentine's Day.
10 family members celebrated all of our winter birthdays. The food was excellent!! 9 seafood , one pot roast.
The service was very slow in between courses, but this worked this time, because we were all busy catching up!!
Loved the no wait in the winter season!!
Service is not good really thakes away from an other wise good dinning experience
Been going to Bahrs for over 60 years and have had a great meal every time. Clam chowder is to die for. Service very good, we had Dawn and she was the best, we had a great time.
WEATHER WAS WARM, SO WE TOOK THE RIDE TO THE HIGHLANDS FOR SOME SEA FOOD. HAVEN'T BEEN THERE IN YEARS, IT HAS NOT CHANGED AND THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT.
THEY OPENED IN 1917, AND JUST COMPLETED THEIR 100TH ANNIVERSARY. THE REASON THEY
LASTED SO LONG, GOOD FOOD, GOOD SERVICE, AND LOCATED ON THE WATER.
WE'LL BE BACK WHEN SPRING ARRIVES AND WE'LL DINE OUTSIDE.
HERES TO ANOTHER 100 YEARS.......CONGRATULATIONS
As usual the food and service at Bahrs is very good. We try and go every month or so.
Only one cautionary note, they are redoing their tap system and beer selection is pretty poor. This was somewhat disappointing since they usually had some local craft brews which were excellent.
Another great meal at Bahr's! Everyone enjoyed their appetizer's and entrees. Clams and Oysters on the half shell were wonderful and so fresh! The salads are huge and delicious! The broiled scallops melted in your mouth - the lobster was the best my father's ever had and the broiled seafood platter and crab cakes were as wonderful as always. One of our favorites- see you soon!
Bahrs Landing is always delightful and never disappoints. If you are fortunate enough to sit at a table served by Mary or Ann, your are fortunate indeed.
One of our favorite places. My husband is a seafood lover me not so, however I am German the small German menu is perfect to remind me of my moms home cooking
