Very high sound and wrong music for a “ french bistro”
Always a great time when we go to Bagatelle! Steak was excellent as always.
Staff was very rude and unaware of their surroundings, I was tripped twice when walking to the bathroom - very bad
this place never dissapoints. great ambiance and spectacular food!
Very nice !
Too expensive! Not worth the food. Service is pretty good.
Good times and great spot. Come back for sure!!!
The tuna tartar and truffle gnocchi were both amazing. Ordered them to split and was more than enough!! Great attentive service as well.
Took clients out to dinner and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and the service was quick.
We finished dinner and the dj started...nightclub vibe with great energy and delicious drinks
Waiter was amazing and nice. And helpful. And the food was delicious. But service was slow considering it was pretty empty. I had to ask for water to be refilled 3 times. And took a while to get check and pay. Dragged on a bit
Delay to deliver a Chicken Salad almost 30min! But decoration is really good!
Anniversary
Do not go to Bagatelle for dinner following the boozy brunch on sundays. The restaurant smelled like old stale booze and cleaning solution similar to an urban beer bar. The first table we were seated at was so tippy that water glasses tipped over. (Was this table used for dancing?). The service was very slow even tho there were only 20 patrons in the entire restaurant. A number of the entries were not available. The food and preparation was barely edible. Two of us had the NY strip and 1 had the veil chop (basic easy dishes) and they were so tough and poorly prepared they were hardly edible. My steak knife was so dull it couldn’t cut meat. The mark up on the wine was 250%!! Outrageous! I wanted the 2010 E Guigal as indicated on the wine list and the 2013 was brought. The worst aspect was that the cost of dinner for 4 was $478.00 with out gratuity. I’ve have better meals and ambiance at chain restaurants. This is hardly a French fusion restaurant. The menu was uninteresting and basic. The bagatelle salad was a bowl of Boston lettuce leaves with an unimaginative vinegarette and some type of grated domestic cheese. Background music was pulsating club techno dreck which made everything else more annoying. I can’t believe that this place has any type of following or success. I hope NewYorkers are not loosing their sense of discriminating taste. More than disappointing.
Love that place
Desapointed and the Waiter was rude !!
Purple lighting , blasting house music, very un-accomodating hostess- not the French bistro as advertised on Open Table. We asked to be moved to a table away from the speaker ( there were many empty tables) & she rolled her eyes and said it was loud everywhere.
If they’re running an after work club, fine - the bar was packed but dont represent themselves as a restaurant
Excelent experience! It's worth the date out, it is vibrant!
Food is alright but doesnt stand out from other less expensive but good places. Noise level increases throughout the night and can get uncomfortable - of course the restaurant caters to a mostly young clientele so that might be a plus. We couldn't hold a conversation properly, so it was a downer for us.
We came for restaurant week with our friends. The pumpkin risotto and gnocchi were amazing. I also got the tuna tartar and berry cheesecake which were both good too. The service was ok but overall good experience!
Great place for small private party
Food is delicious
Service is good
Yousef was wonderful and super attentive ! Excellent restaurant week menu. Thank you so much for a great lunch!
Great place love the food and the music!
Everything was pretty good except it seemed very hard to get another drink at the table after we were done with dinner. The waiter didn’t check with us for about an hour? We had another guy cleaning the table and continuously hydrating us...the water kept on coming, but not the waiter.
When we finally decided to continue our night and get drinks at another place In the area, we actually had to wave and ask someone else to get our waiter’s attention.
My wife and I had a great time at Bagatelle during Restaurant week. The server (Michael) was attentive and had personality without being obtrusive. He was terrific. There was a little mistake with our food and they were apologetic and really great about it (free Prosecco--yay!). It was a good atmosphere; food was delicious and the chocolate mousse was otherworldly--salted pecans should always accompany chocolate from hereon forward. Beautiful place as well. Wine pours were generous as well and my Bourdeaux was really nice. My wife had the Risotto and I had the Chicken. Both were excellent. Just good feelings all the way around.
Great service, hip decoration and great mood.
We weee very impressed with the decor of the restaurant. Server was very cordial and helpful. The quality of the food was excellent in taste and presentation.
The food was really goo! The service was terrible!
I LOVED the experience. Food was GREAT! My server was AMAZING! I haven’t had service like that in a while. 🙌🏽
The food was just the best! It was amazing and I just want to go there again in my next trip!
Phenomenal atmosphere and food!
Had a blast with my girls. Great music, drinks at atmosphere. Can’t wait to try their brunch. I ordered the roast chicken and it was delicious. However, I came for the party and was not disappointed. Drinks were good as well.
Amazing food and Service ! The show at 10 was also very exciting and music was fun.
We enjoyed the food, the gnocchi with black truffles was delicious. Our waiter was inattentive but the bus boy made up for it. I was previously there for lunch & all the staff was very attentive.
Very good food and very pleasant experience. Plan to return for music and dancing in the evening. Prices affordable. Not genuine French but still good. Very trendy neighborhood.
Food was well spaced. I returned my steak because it was 75% fat. Three bites all fat and I gave up. Service was great. Not a place I will return to.
RW lunch. Not too many diners. Wobbly table took a few efforts but finally stabilized.
Great choices in each part of menu. started with gnocchi, delicious and generous portion. Chicken was also tasty but wonder if a bowl was right vessel for two pieces on the bone?
Chocolat dessert divine!
Excellent bread and spread to start!
Unfortunately construction outside goes on and disrupts views. But an enjoyable meal!
Very impressed with everything. Food was delicious and service was wonderful.
went there during the restaurant week. I generally do not have a very high expectation but this place did not disappoint me at all! Amazing course meal and never gave in the quality.
Service was great. Immediately greeted and quickly seated although we went early on a Monday (6:30pm). Was quiet while we were there. Decor is very schizophrenic, no cohesiveness (chandeliers and mod art).
Went during restaurant week but ended up ordering from regular menu. Butternut squash soup was good. I liked the crusted halibut but I have had better. The pappardelle ragout was really good, good sized for a meal. For dessert, we had Apple Gala and Honey Bee. Both decent but not stellar, although they were light so it ended the meal well. Pretty good French wine menu, and also ended with Armagnac and a coffee.
Pretty good but not somewhere I would return right away.
