It was good and tasty, dessert was phenomenal. Server wasn't overbearing. Will definitely be back.
The food was fantastic, and the service was the best I've ever had. We ordered several plates to share, which our waitress automatically coursed for us. She was extremely attentive and and all courses arrived with perfect timing. We were never rushed, by any means, but we never waited more than a couple of minutes for the next course. Extremely impressed with the entire experience. Will definitely return.
We had a large group of us (11) for brunch. Our service was amazing, the food was great and the ambiance was perfect. I could not recommend Baela Rose enough.
Very pleasant experience which included good options for one with gluten intolerance. Very small quibble-the entree could have been served a little hotter.
We traveled from Kansas City for the weekend and enjoyed brunch at Baela Rose before our departure. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food was even better. Great place to relax and eat!
Food was great. Service was friendly and attentive. Will return often.
Fun, relaxing evening with a dear friend. Food was great. Service impeccable. Topped it off with lovely coffee in an individual french press! Would go back in a heartbeat.
great service and decor. Food was disappointing, bland. Bloody Mary poor
Great culinary experience
Tremendous service, beautiful plating, delicious and perfectly prepared dishes. Met some family for Easter Brunch, all ordered different menu items, everyone enjoyed their dish without any complaints...hats off to the chef
Enjoyed Baela Rose for Easter Brunch. The plates were as beautifully presented as they were delish. We enjoyed creative servings of biscuits and gravy (not your grandma’s heavily peppered white sauce)... refined and savory. I am the person who would eat homemade biscuits every day... and these did not disappoint. Also noshed on the hash (there was also a veggie version that greatly tempted me). The hash featured crunchy potatoes and crisp ham sitting on a smear of beautiful red beet sauce. Lovely. Paired with the endless mimosas (orange juice or grapefruit juice) and we were set. We brunches early at 10:30 am... the brick restoration dining room was pleasant and about half full... peeprfect for a quite Sunday morning. My only suggestion would be to add a few more items to the small menu... like savory egg dishes, and paleo friendly options.
Always a great menu! The food has an attention to details and the staff is attentive.
Food was ordinary... Staff was friendly, everything was fine.
Liam was our wait person. He was fantastic!
The food was good -- but only served 5 fries with the Aioli? LOL!
They were good though.
Stopped in for brunch. The food was beautiful and thoughtful! Short Ribs were perfect in the hash along side the roasted and crispy root veg. Chicken and waffles were entirely on point (love that confit on the leg and thigh)!
I can’t wait to come back for dinner.
This is a great spot for all occasions. Good food, attentive service and comfortable setting. We will go back often. Location is great and staff is welcoming. Hard to decide what to order as so much sounded so good.
We wanted to avoid the St Patrick’s day madness with a nice dinner out with friends and Baela Rose was the perfect spot. This was all of our first times and after hearing from multiple sources that they had a great time the bar was set pretty high. I have to say they cleared it by a mile. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left everything was truly great. The bartender, Rose was very engaging and made some great suggestions, most of which we took. Our server, Patrick was also great and maintained the table very well throughout our meal. The food was sublime and looked as good as it tasted. We went for the Charcuterie, Cheese Plate, Beef Tartare, Short Rib Tortellini, Steak Frites, and Cauliflower entree. All amazing. Especially the Cauliflower. This place is a serious do not miss.
Excellence was the word of the evening! Tyler did a great job table-side and was very patient with all of our questions. The food was amazing. The corn nuts was the only dish lacking some unique flavor.....but they are, after all, corn nuts. Looking forward to going again.
Fantastic brunch menu. Music was a bit loud, and had to talk loud to communicate with the table. I will definitely go back.
Just fabulous. Our party of 5 ordered 12 items and passed around the food family style. This is the way to go as we were able to cruise half the menu. This is a true foodie place. Not a cheap dinner. $384 including a bottle of sancere and chenin Blanc, before tip.
This was our second time at Baela Rose. The atmosphere is nice, although we were seated both times at the same table which was close in proximity to the kitchen and all of its noise. Not sure about that when there were better tables up front by the window and we had a reservation but maybe they were trying to make it more intimate for us not aware of the kitchen noises. Our server was great and very helpful and friendly. The food is very good too, it seems the choices are slightly limited however the selections are very tasty.
This was our first visit to Baela Rose, and it did not disappoint. It was a quieter Sunday evening which was great as it allowed us to catch up with friends. The food was fantastic and we enjoyed the ability to share the smaller plates. It was a wonderful evening for all of us!
This remains the best place in Dundee.
First, I do want to say the food was really very good. Our party of four each had different entrees and each was equally good. Our problem was the service. We had a 7:00 reservation and didn’t receive our meal until 8:30. Our server was not very apologetic, just insisting that it was the kitchens fault. We were very nice about the whole thing, but as it was our first visit, we asked if this was normal. Other tables left before their food arrived. We did receive a discount on our meal. Nice gesture, but we’d rather have paid full price and not have been late for our 9:00 plans. Because Omaha has so many really good restaurants, we most likely won’t be back.
Food and drink were great when they were finally served, both bar and kitchen were slower than most comparable restaurants... yes good food takes time but the long / patient wait equaled 4 out of 5 dishes delivered. Server was on the ball, apologetic and compensated. Will be a great location once the kitchen has its act together.
Went there for dinner on a Saturday night with reservations (recommended). Convenient parking behind restaurant is very nice on a cold night. Appetizers and drinks are a strength. Had the roasted Brussel's sprouts which were awesome. Wine prices are about average. The decor and atmosphere are top-notch, not too loud. The main course menu is small, with relatively few choices, which is my only negative. My companion had the scallops, which were very good, and I had the chicken roulade – also very good but a bit bland for such a place like this; I would have liked to see a bit more diverse menu or perhaps some specials (there were none), though I was told the regular menu changes fairly often. The wait for the entree was a little on the long side, but service was otherwise excellent.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening, the food was incredible. Most of our party is Gluten Free and they were fantastic at accommodating our needs. Our waiter Patrick, was extremely knowledgeable regarding ingredients of all menu items. He was very helpful recommending a wonderful, affordable wine choice. We will definitely return.
Great food great space cute waiter!! 😋
Great restaurant in the historic Dundee neighborhood. Beautiful atmosphere and amazing food. Highly recommend.
We weren’t seated until 35 minutes after our reservation time. The hostess never apologized or even acknowledged how long we were waiting and was offended that I asked when our table would be ready. When we were finally seated, it still took a long time for the waiter to show up with our waters and to take our drink order. Won’t go back or recommend. Get a clue
Baela Rose did not disappoint!
A must go to for any occasion! Fresh food, great service.
Wonderful brunch for 12 and everyone was pleased. Innovative menu. Lots of choices for vegans and carnivores. Great service. Can’t wait to go back!!
Always enjoy this place, it’s quickly become one of my favorites. Great cocktails and good food. The menu continues to change so I try and frequent often. I’d highly recommend.
It was our first time there. Really great ambiance and food but our service was absolutely horrible. We waited 1 hour for appetizers which was extremely disappointing and then the entire dinner thereafter the slowness occurred. We had a party of 9 and we had had reservations for over a week, so they knew we were coming in that evening. Not sure what was going on...if it was our server or the chef, but it was really a disappointment and most likely we will not be going back based on this one experience.
Thought I’d try it...I’ll be back. Good food, ambiance and service.
We have dined at some of the best fine dining restaurants in Omaha, and Baela Rose easily matches the best of them in food quality and presentation. We order several items from their “four star” menu, and they were all outstanding. We ordered the vegetable chips, pork and nuts, brussel sprouts, duck breast, and the steak and frites. Perfectly cooked and prepared on all counts.
Strange, limited menu. Oyster pasta was lukewarm and flavorless. Mistake.
