We had a wonderful waitress, great food and it was a great environment. I had of the promoted drinks from the bar. The first one was a Manhattan with a tweak and it was amazing. The second was an orange Moscow Mule with a special liquor. It tasted like floor cleaner and I could not drink this libation. I would have liked the offer of it being replaced with something else, but that offer was never made. It was likely the grossest drink I've ever tried in 40 years and I've tried a lot! The rest of our experience was lovely.
I love this place. The food is incredible, the presentation is beautiful, and the happy hour drinks hit the spot. This may be my favorite restaurant in Omaha, frankly.
Been several times, brunch dinner etc. would have no problem classifying as “Top Tier” Omaha restaurant. Right up there with the Best! Top 10
I went to Baela Rose with my mom for Mother’s Day brunch. We arrived at 10:00 and were immediately seated and drink orders were taken. I instantly noticed blaring music which seemed strange for the time of day. I ordered the brunch poutine. I struggled to find any cheese curds in my dish but it was otherwise good. My mom really enjoyed her vegetable hash. Overall the experience was enjoyable.
The food was really, really good. The waitress didn't put in the charcuterie I ordered, and by the time she came by for me to inquire, our entree was ready. Pretty disappointed in that.
appetizers were ok, but the short rib was delicious. I would go back to try other items on the menu just to have that again.
I’m usually always happy when I come in to eat here. The food is always impeccable, but today I ordered the chicken & waffles for brunch & the chicken was really dry. That was my only complaint. Everything else was amazing!
Excellent food. Inventive and complex flavors.
Excellent food; great service! I booked them for my birthday brunch and everything was perfect!
The food was simply awesome. Went for brunch but will have to try dinner too!
I thought the overall environment was great. The food was good a bit under seasoned but good, and the portions were a small for the cost. Service was good however there was only one server. She was friendly, but you could tell she was over worked so towards the end she was a bit snippy.
We loved our evening! Prices just a bit high for serving size, but all was so flavorful and so well presented. Georgia was our server and could not have been better. Definitely will be back.
We enjoyed a wonderful brunch here for Easter and it was the perfect place to be with family. We had our 3 year old with us and she loved the place as well. Their menu was nice and had a lot of variety to it. The decore was clean and beautiful in the older brick building. We loved it!
First time diner there and it won't be my last. From the amazing quality food to the overall dining experience, everything was awesome.
Everything was excellent!
Food was amazing!!
Five of the six plates we had would qualify as some of the best food we’ve had recently (3 people...and we had plenty). The meal was outstanding, and presentation was first rate. On the whole, a fantastic evening!
Great food at a relaxed pace. we were not rushed in any way. Service was excellent.
Went for brunch this weekend after not being able to get in at our first choice. The service was good; though a little slow (well over 20 minutes for our entrees). The food was excellent. Was glad to see it more busy than the last time I was there. Mimosas with fresh squeezed OJ were out of this world.
New menu item, poutine was fabulous! Each and every time we dine here we are impressed and leave feeling happy, fulfilled and positive. Great establishment and amazing food.
Baela Rose offers a unique menu with varieties of different-sized selections, and everything is delivered with beautiful presentation.
I have only eaten here twice but both times the food was very flavorful and creative, with good cocktail options and very good service. It hasn't been crowded or noisy either time. I didn't love the dish last visit but only because the short ribs had too much fat on them for my liking. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the seasoning was fantastic.
Ordered wine which was half off on Wednesdays! The squash soup was amazing, a very nice presentation and generous serving. We also had a salad which could have served three people and a chicken dish which was very good.
It was a nice dining experience on a cold night!
I was surprised at the haute cuisine. Didn't expect that in a bar/cafe style atmosphere.
Not many places offer "sweetbreads" and it was deliciously done. For entree I had the Cauliflower which was good but could have been a little less al dente. A simple recipe and I enjoyed it.
My boyfriend had the butternut soup and a steak. Both were very tasty.
I'm also happy to say that our server was excellent. Attentive without bringing too much attention to herself.
I would definitely go there again.
First timer here. We had the charcuterie board which was flavorful, loved the house made ricotta! I had the scallops and he had the chicken. Both were delicious and full of many interesting and complimentary flavors. Chocolate mousse desert was awesome!!
Food is always out of this world. Would have liked a few more options for red wines by the glass, and our server didn't seem to know as much about the wine or the food as other servers have in the past. I've always enjoyed having all of the items on my plate described, but my server this time didn't do that, and when I asked about one of the ingredients she wasn't sure. Will surely be back, but probably hope to get a different server.
We love coming to Baela Rose. It's never too crowded but still feels cozy.. Best atmosphere for date night!
The food here is pure art. The chef makes every component of the dish meaningful which I truely appreciate. Nothing bothers me more than vegetables that are thrown on the plate as an after thought but Baela Rose makes it part of the dish and it's absolutely delightful! Also, I have never had a poorly cooked meat here either! Skin is always crispy and meat is always cooked to the right temperature.
Lastly, the dessert here is 110% worth it every time, particularly their creme brulee which they change the flavor of from time to time. Honestly the best creme brulee I've tried in Omaha. Their current coffee&dark chocolate creme brulee had me thinking about it for days after. I also am very partial to their orange creme brulee in the summer months too!
By far the best place to eat on Underwood, and my favorite place in Omaha.
Nice place and the food was good. My only complaint is that on a Saturday night by 7 pm, the restaurant ran out of one of their dishes already.
We were happy to find such a nice restaurant open on a Sunday night! There was a very talented guitar player playing softly to add to the already nice atmosphere.
We had sweetbreads and homemade chips for appetizers, both delicious! And each couple had one duck and one chicken entree. The food was excellent. And the service was too.
We will definitely be back!
Amazing brunch experience! Great food, drinks, and service. Will definitely be back!
We waited for more than 15 minutes and had no service. The restaurant was not busy at all and at lest three servers were present. We were not in a hurry but wanted to have anime dinner. Very disappointing. We will not be back.
Was very disappointed with the overall customer service. Felt as if we were an inconvenience. As we left the restaurant we walked from the front to the back exit, we passed 3 different employees and none of them said a thing. No glad you came in, have good night. Very disappointing!
Absolutely love love love the food here whenever i get off on sundays which isnt often i go for brunch and its always outstanding! Tried dinner for the time here on friday and left full and happy service is always on point too!
Food was excellent, as always! Went for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. It was surprisingly not busy.
The food is exceptional. Wonderful experience. The charcuterie board is over the top!
The food was delicious and we loved the atmosphere and building, but we had super slow service. The wait staff was friendly and appreciated our patience. I would still go back and recommend to friends as long as you have time.
The restaurant itself was beautiful. The music was great and I loved how quiet the restaurant was! Our server was very attentive and helped answer any questions! We had a great time and enjoyed every bite! The house made ricotta was delicious. We reccomend the charcuterie board, Duck, Duck, Goose, the ricotta tortellini, and the Teres Major! We will be back!
This is the place. Wether it’s a first date or 25 aniversary... you will not be disappointed!
Few diners, yet slow service. Food was adequate, but nothing special.
Great view of the urinal every time the men’s room door opened.
Very nice service on a quiet Sunday night. Loved the Roosevelt!
