Badmaash - Fairfax
Finally a really great Indian restaurant in la
Excellent save the ambiance and noise level and it was cold in there.
The food was good but I expected better. The samosas were delicious and cheese nana also spectacular. However the bone in beef barely had any meat on it and was super tough and the tikka masala - the stew was good but the chicken was also super tough didn’t seem like it was stewing for a while. The desserts were also delicious- overall nice place but I expected more.
Everything was awesome. Really enjoyable meal. We will definitely come back.
A truly great Indian restaurant. Well-balanced but unique flavors. A nod to the traditional while doing something new...it's a fresh, fun experience in a trendy little spot a short walk away from The Grove.
Such great service and we got an anniversary treat at the end on the house - which was delicious and made our evening so nice. It was great!
Delicious food, very hip crowd. Would definitely go back
Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. Stellar experience.
I have visited the downtown Badmaash many times and this was my first visit to the Fairfax spot. Loved the location, super friendly staff and the simple and clean interior! The food is unbeatable and my fave (as a Canadian) is the chicken tikka poutine!
I’m extremely picky about Indian food and am always impressed by Badmaash. Yes, it’s fusion but there a definitely some very authentic dishes too. We had a very enjoyable evening.
Loved everything we got. The badass tikka, spiced lamb burger, both samosas, and Masala fries. They also had a great selection of beer, but they were all in cans or bottles and not on draft.
The food was great and the Tikka Masala was the best I've had. Very interesting menu with great service. I would highly recommend.
My new favorite Restaurant;love all the dishes we try ;service was very professional;.
Really a good place! Small menu. We all found something but I wish there were more vegan options. Delicious!!
Father’s Day dinner was great. Fun, friendly and fabulous food
Celebrated Fathers here after attending a performance at a nearby theatre. They graciously accommodated us when we arrived a half hour earlier than expected. The food was fantastic. We shared the house made India Pickles,Dad’s Coconut Curry Mussels, the Fish Moilee( I could’ve eaten an entire bowl of this delicious sauce alone and been happy) and the Butter Chicken , all accompanied by Rosemary Naan and Basmati Pilaf. Everything was wonderful and made even better by Donald , who provided exceptional service and helped make this a place we will eagerly return to.
My dad truly enjoyed his first Badmaash experience on Father’s Day this past weekend. The service was exceptional! Donald was absolutely amazing and the food was excellent!
Everything was great with food/service/environment! The masala spiced fries and the fried chicken were favorites. We’ll definitely be back here soon!
Great food! Nice intimate space with god service from start to finish.
Amazing food and service! went two nights in a row....loved their pork belly and mango mousse dessert.
Cool spin on Indian food. Good vibes.
Great food, but you need high chairs or booster seats, I know its trying to be hip, but its still just Indian food, generally a family event. thanks
Great food, great service! Tikka poutine is the greatest dish ever!
Excellent food. Attentive servers. Casual setting great for family style dining and conversation with friends.
Amazing food at a healthy price. Perfect for family lunches.
Lovely and delicious!
DELICIOUS!!! Great service ! Very generous!
I will be back, I just hope the music will be better.
Good was absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to go back. Fun vibe too.
The food was incredible. I would definitely eat here again.
It was just amazing
We ordered a wide variety spread and every single dish was phenomenal! Every. One. Fried butter chicken sammich, Dad's famous coconut curry mussels, lamb chops, samosa, pickles, broccoli tandoori, fish oilee, saag paneer, and a few others. We come from the Central Coast area and are always excited when events bring us to LA...that means Badmaash for dinner!
The food was expensive for the quantity given. Also, we ordered saag panner and there was not much paneer in the dish.
Fire 🔥🔥🔥shoutout to Milad
LA meet Bombay at This Fairfax eatery. It’s still Indian food but not your typical run-of-the-mill range of dishes. Definitely worth a visit.
Great, creative Indian food. I love Indian food but was excited to try some thing new with a twist. Our server was lovely and overall attentive and the food was very good at an overall fair price point (exception would be wines by the glass which seemed a bit pricey though). My main complaint was the noise level was pretty intense and the background music left a lot to be desired. I'm far from a prude but practically every other song that came on was pretty vulgar and extremely profanity laced. I felt a little embarassed and awkward for the elderly parents sitting with their adult kids at the table next to me when f*cken this and that were blaring over the loudspeakers. It detracted from the experience. Please reconsider your playlist!
From the host to the waiter, very personable and nice. The food was great.
This restaurant has excellent food and service. We enjoyed it very much.
Excellent food, rather pricey for the overall ambience and budget setup .. especially cramped seating and ridiculously small tables
They gave us top notch service accompanied by great food. Love Badmaash!
