Fun and whimsical decor tho very uncomfortable wooden chairs. Try to score a booth if you can. Highly recommend the garlic babka, short rib pappardelle, yellow tail crudo and iceberg wedge!! Also a must have is the tiramisu ice cream cake and lemon cheesecake which is delicious and beautiful! Avoid the chicken Milanese at all costs! Way too fried and heavily breaded with no taste. A little pricey but nice for a special occasion. I would return.

Bad Roman We waited more than six months after its opening to try this very hyped eatery, not only because we wanted a reservation before 9:30 PM, but also because we wanted the reported opening glitches resolved. Despite initial, poor reviews, Bad Roman delivered a truly solid dining experience. Bad Romans’s Columbus Circle location is in the center, of THE CENTER, of the universe. Few restaurants have the benefit of this stellar location, and Columbus Circle views. The dining room is uniquely kitschy and darkly comedic in a very fun, quirky, inviting manner. The staff is so pleasantly accommodating. The menu offers not only Italian favorites, but some tasty twists (filet mignon topped with a large, pepper and cheese filled creamy ravioli that drenches the filet in a yummy sauce). The shrimp pasta was very tasty and the dining standout. The garlic bobka and Caesar salad were good appetizers. The lemon cheesecake MUST be ordered, not only because of its aesthetically pleasing presentation, but because of its creamy, scrumptious flavor. Our server, Adrian, did a terrific job recommending both entrees and wine. He was quite attentive and knowledgeable and elevated our already very good dining experience.

The food here was really tasty- the surprise for me was the oysters! They were excellent. Service was great, ambiance was cool. My only feedback is that pasta portions could be a little bigger (the papparedele was so good I wish I had more!) And the food could have come out a tiny bit quicker and been a bit warmer but other than that really enjoyed the experience and can't wait to go back

Food was great but the service was appalling. Completely understaffed, waited AGES to order, table was completely empty when we got there so we had to wait for a while until they cleaned it and brought cutlery and napkins Never going back

The meatballs were very good as well as the babka. The two pastas we had were very salty. We did feel very rushed and were not allowed to order apps to start and then order dinner - we had to order altogether. The server never checked on us with the meals, which was disappointing given the pastas were hard to eat. Lastly, the bar was lively which was fun but the bathroom was so dark, black toilets, black floor, which makes you wonder what’s lurking. Overall it was 3 stars - being rushed just was’t worth it.

This is a solid 3 star - but that’s it. I don’t get the hype. Yes, the babka is good. But, that’s about all that stands out. I agree with other reviewers, the food is bland —except for salt. LOTS of salt. The meatballs are fine, nothing memorable. The short rib pasta is forgettable and lacks flavor. The cannoli dessert is a big no. Cannoli “chips” were borderline soggy and cream filling, again, lacked flavor. Wine list is good, cocktails are boring. Ambiance is nice, but nothing new or spectacular. Overall, it’s fine. I won’t go back though.

The food was pretty good it was hit or miss the bobka was really good. The fillet was really good. My wife had the chicken Milanese. It wasn’t that wonderful. Kind of boring, well cooked but just not much to the meal. The service was excellent all around.

Overall great ambiance and experience. The food is excellent — try the ricotta toast and the lobster pasta was incredible. Sadly, our service was not good. Waited 20 mins for cocktails, another 20 mins for our dessert at the end as it “got lost” due to a large party (?). The waiter didn’t seem to care very much. Disappointing service.

A fun restaurant! This restaurant was filled to the brim with jovial people enjoying their food! The food was very good- we ordered calamari, a nice salad ( Italian dressing) the meatballs, lobster and pasta to share and the tiramisu cake. We enjoyed everything! A fun dining experience at Columbus Circle

Absolutely the best!! The food is so delicious here. We had the caesar salad, meatballs, chicken milanese, and short rib pasta. Lastly the star of the show was the lemon cheesecake! This was my 2nd time dining here and the quality is still out of this world. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the city!!

Extremely loud, the service was spotty. I repeatedly had to ask for water refills. The waiter showed up occasionally. The food was very pretty pretty, but the taste was nothing special. Unlike other fine Italian restaurants, nothing is done off menu, i e smaller portion or change. However, they were very accommodating about a severe nut allergy that one of my guests has.

Great place for a birthday celebration. Excellent meal and service. Pepperoni martini, tequila granita, garlic babka, lobster scampi, spicy Ceasar, caviar gnocchi, veal chops. All yummy. And our waiter was knowledgeable and fun. We will return!

Went with a group and, while the food was good, there was nothing we felt we'd need to go back for. We're glad to have gone, experienced the dining and taken in the ambiance, but we won't be eager to go back, especially at the price. At 75% of our total, we might consider it, but other than it being a hot location, there are plenty of other places to check out that have better food and atmosphere.

What a sensational dining experience. Our waiter Rob greeted us with a warm shining smile. He was attentive and on point with service. Food was fresh and delicious. We pretty much ordered one of everything from the menu. Our favorites were pepperoni cups, filet mignon meatballs, spicy gem Caesar salad, also the wedge which has like a chopped antipasto on top, all the pasta yum! Entrees filet with the ravioli is rich decadent and scrumptious. 2 pd Lobster with pasta sensational. We will definitely be back.

Food was fine, it was the service that was horrible. Expect to be ignored upon arrival, once seated expect server nowhere to be found. When we finally ordered, we were told our food would take awhile and we should order an appetizer so we wouldn’t have to wait - just 10 minutes later the appetizer, main courses and sides all arrived at the same time. waited 40+ minutes for plates to be cleared. In this time, I Asked for the check 3 times until finally being given a dessert menu? Would not go back

This is a fun and over the top restaurant. Nothing is subtle and I guess that’s the point of the place. My husband and I had some of the highlights of the menu (Filet with Cacio y Pepe Ravioli, Lobster with Calabrian Pasta, Lemon Cheesecake). The presentation of all of them is amazing. Some may really like the Filet and Cacio y Pepe Ravioli but while the filet was good and the presentation was great, the ravioli was a bit too rich for my taste. The lobster and Calabrian pasta is definitely delicious and worth the hype. I’ve never seen such an inventive presentation of lemon cheesecake that looks like lemons. The flavors are spot on but I am not a fan of dense cheesecake, which this is. Again, others may like it but I could only do like two or three spoonfuls before I am done. The portion sizes of items like the Filet with Cacio y Pepe don’t look like a lot but don’t let that fool you. Nothing my husband and I had was truly light (well, the lobster and Calabrian pasta in comparison to the others). The service was great and the place is fun at heart, which is surprising considering how boring the Shops at Columbus Circle are. Now that I have tried the really hyped dishes, I hope to go back and try lighter and lesser known ones to feel satiated but not like I need to be rolled out in a cart afterwards. I highly recommend for a celebratory occasion.

What a great experience! Truly lived up to the hype. Elise was our server and went out of her way to make my Fiances birthday dinner special. She gave amazing suggestions, ensured she checked up on us and was on top of it all! The filet with the ravioli was incredible, the yellowtail, babka, the dessert!
