We've never been disappointed in the quality of food at Baco Mercat. Creative and delicious.
Great service, tasty and creative food, nice cozy ambience.
Very tasty and good value for the price. Had marrow, carpaccio, steak, Brussels sprouts, mixed meze.
Great food and a good downtown venue with an interesting menu and fun vibe. Could do with offering some California red wines by the glass.
Been here several times and the food is just amazing. Pistachio cheesecake and Baco sandwich are faves.
My reservation was at 8:30p. We didn’t get seated until 9:30p. What was the point of having a reservation?!? They did give complementary appetizers (due to the very long wait) and desserts (due to birthday celebrations).
Great Dine LA menu. Four of us ordered every item on the Dine LA menu. We shared. We added a "Pizza" . The food was great. Unique tastes. Fresh and lively.
Great as always. Really vibrant flavors. Keep on chugging Josef
Very interesting menu with atypical ingredients. I had a hard time picking what to eat. Lots of vegetarian and meaty options. Savory and delicious food and excellent mixed drinks.
Service was generally friendly but I waited at the front for a hostess for several minutes until the bartender noted me and called her.
The food is excellent, but the overall pricing is still undesirable regarding the limited volume of food, about 30% more expensive than what i think it’s worth.
Warning: the menu is very unfriendly to anyone who hates cilantro (like me). All types of the signature bread contain cilantro which cannot be removed.
This is my second time here. I wanted to come back for the cauliflower side dish. It is Amazing! My boyfriend and I like it so much we ordered our own. I was surprised the skirt steak was served medium. I like mine more cook, but didn’t want to complain. This dish was supposed to come with carrot hummus and it didn’t.
Wonderful service - great tips in the menu - flavours are hard to match
After all these years, still a fun place with inventive food but perhaps not the quality it once was.
Baco is a real favorite! The food is always so interesting and delicious. Somehow, the chef makes seeming simple dishes come alive with incredible layers of flavors. Had a wonderful NYE here with a friend. It was the absolute perfect way to bring in the new year. We’ll be back soon, Baco!
Their service is always great and the food is spectacular. Such great flavors!
Fun adventure - unique, but not too far out there! Yummy starters and veggie dishes for sharing.
NYE. 2nd time to celebrate the year. Fun vibe, great food & terrific staff. We’ve been going since they opened and it’s great to see many staff are still here.
Nice vibe for a late night dinner with great service and food.
We've been there 2 years ago and had a wonderful experience. Back this December and we were disappointed. The food was not as good: the meatballs were too fat and the burrata nearly existent. Baco sandwich (oxtail) was chewy and missing flavors. We won't go again
Excellent periodt!!! Go...that way! I loved the branzino bomb! Caesar Brussels sprouts bomb! Drinks had the right balance (my fair Verona was A1)! Ambiance was delightful! I must if in DTLA area.
Great food served tapas style with an excellent bar. Service was good but at times inattentive.
Bad service for average food. I would not recommend this restaurant. Hostess was not pleasant, the bartender forgot about our drinks. We did not receive our drinks until the end of our meal . Management attempted to make things right at the end by offering a dessert which we were grateful for.
The service was pretty awful. The food isn’t what it use to be.
The food was delicious! The kitchen does turn out the food rather fast so don’t expect to have a leisurely meal. We were in and out in about 1 hr.
The food descriptions are not good enough to let us understand how they cooked the food. I had a chicken and a shrimp in the pita, both were fried and i don't eat fried food. But it doesn't write anything( grilled, fried, boiled)
Excellent experience. Fantastic cocktails (large too). Eclectic menu. Veggie & meat forward. Excellent service!! Love this DTLA restaurant.
Loved it. Great food. Great service. We took out of town guests and they were blown away. Thank you!!
There was a flavor explosion in my mouth!!! My group ordered several appetizers, entrees and desserts (which I highly recommend) and we enjoyed everything. Great Gluten Free options as well.
Everything was great! Glad we came to check it out.
Our reservations were at 8:15 and we were seated close to 9pm. A 9pm party of 4 was seated before us and a couple that came after us was seated before us ( there were two of us). I’m not sure if the hostess forgot about us or it’s because we were not of a certain race.
Delicious food but the “big plate - for 2-4 people” was a single serving back on the East coast. We supplemented with a side of broccoli and a dessert.
My wife’s dish was a bit heavy but otherwise it was a good evening
Great place great food!!! Total worth it. Rare find. Hospitality is awesome.
Went for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the whole experience was great -- good ambience, great service, and the food is fantastic. Creative and vibrantly colorful dishes with unique pairings of ingredients (herbs, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, sauces). We had a completely vegetarian meal and left feeling 100% satisfied. Great drinks, too, including non-alcoholic shrubs and juice combinations. My hibiscus limeade was vivid fuchsia, tart and delicious.
The sugo was amazing, as always. The cauliflower dish was strong although the sauce was a bit heavy. The marrow dish was tasty although the pasta was a little undercooked and over-sauced.
Best meal I’ve had in a long time
The food we had was delicious but very small portions for the price. I assumed a $28 steak and potatoes was a meal-sized portion. Only other problem was we were seated right next to the door and had to keep our coats on. It was warmer by the heat lamps outside. But, as I said - the food was great.
Unique and delicious baco sandwiches, cauliflower, eggplant dip and soda pop!
Baco always surprises with it's quality of food service with creative recipes/sytle.
