A lively room with interesting interpretations of largely middle-eastern style foods. BUT -- if you're there on a night with fried chicken, that's always a winner!
The food was fine, the service was confusing, and all our food came at once which was overwhelming.
Everything was great. We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the restaurant.
Second time I’ve been here. It’s a cute spot and definitely on the trendy end of dtla. Love the idea of it and the menu seems to cover a broad areas of interest for me (and I’m sure the avid foodie). But I cannot justify the price to taste ratio. The food is quality but I felt ripped off for the quantity and flavor for the price. It wasn’t bad, just expensive for what you are getting.
Food was very tasty and different!
The bar tenders, hostess and wait staff were not very friendly and we didn't like the overall vibe of the place. The sprouts and octopus are overpriced and over seasoned but the og baco was the bomb if we lived in the area we'd grab it for take out but otherwise we wouldn't return.
Delicious puffy bread and dips, and delectable meatballs. The apple salad is super fresh and different.
A bit hard to catch a waiter. Food was overall pretty good: Mecican and Italian fusion style.
Our waiter was one of the best I’ve had in recent memory...
My favorite Restaurant in LA. Josh the Manager is great and service and food are the best!
The food here is amazing, not a single dish was just okay.
Super yummy. Best flank steak ever. Cauliflower was heaven sent. Chocolate hazelnut dessert ruled the world.
The food was great and i love the pineapple upside down cake!! The server was great!
Excellent flavors and great selection. The Brussels sprouts were incredible:)
Food is simply amazing!!!!
Very enjoyable experience.
We love Baco!
Great food, service, wine. We enjoyed the three small plates that we ordered for a pre-concert meal. We walked from Disney hall but ubered back up the hill. Food was exceptional and service very pleasant.
Great food but expensive for entrees. I was in the back by restroom doors so didn’t experience much “ambiance “. Looked like a sandwich shop.
Absolutely love this place. Can't beat that hamachi crudo and the cocktails are all fire. The shrimp baco is also insanely good. Actually, it's all insanely good. Can't wait to return.
I love Baco... The quality of the food and coziness of the decor... delicious but not too upscale... fun, delicious adult beverages, excellent shareable plates. Baco is a favorite of mine.
Our server clearly didn’t want us there. We dine out a few times a month, are undemanding, and tip well. This was an unusual experience. We won’t be back.
Food was delicious! So glad we made the trip downtown. Great service.
Really enjoyed dining here with friends before theater. Great flavors and good advice from friendly service, including not up-selling us but warning us we might be over-ordering. Very much enjoyed the experience and the veggies and cocktails were standouts.
Baco Mercat is a place to find innovative food, a cool interior and good drinks. They need to work on their noise level to make for a top notch dining experience for people who value good conversation while they est:-)
In love with this place!
Very tasty food! I also had the Medicina cocktail which was super yummy. Elegant atmosphere but not too uptight. We enjoyed spending Valentine's Day there!
Food was, as always, incredible. Server was very nice and helpful with menu but she took forever to greet us or get me my drink. I think she may have been only one working but it was busy and a little frustrating.
Amazing vegetables. Very small cocktails.
Good food but felt a little overpriced for its drinks and food. The ambiance was great and service was ordinary with tired looking waiters.
Great meal, great service, and LOVED the amaro tasting!
Overall still one of the downtown greats, and very affordable. Service staff seem a bit stuffy/tragically hip, and the quality of the food has gone down a bit.
Loved it! Our server was outstanding and the food was creative and very flavorful.
Cute place to go for a date or happy hour. The appetizers were uniqur, healthy and tasty, but the service could have been a little better. Also our table was wobbling so we had to put a napkin under the table so it would stop rocking.
The food is so original and flavorful- and the servers are really nice - great place!
The food was really delicious but there was so much sauce that the bottom of the bread got so soggy I had to eat just the inside :/ Other than that, everything was wonderful.
Love this spot. Service is awesome. And I love their Chicken Schnitzel sandwich! Can’t wait to go back.
Very good food, enjoyed the Spanish and Mediterranean influences on most of the dishes. Unique and great tasting dishes.
A little over crowded and noise for my taste but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Patio tables are on the smaller side but the servers are on point when to come and take the finished dishes away..
drinks are great and the food is outstanding what more could you ask for!?!
Great for casual dinning or even for a date night!
Hadn't been in five years... Food as good or better...
My favorite restaurant in LA, five years running. Staff always fun with amazing food and service. My son and I always order order the menu because we simply can’t pass on their specialties like a whole fried chicken.
