This has become our favorite go to spot for a nice dinner at a reasonable price. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, sitting on the patio is so calming.
As a bonus, desserts are homemade and sooo good!
Great food and awesome atmosphere. Our server was a lot of fun.
Have had great meals here before. This meal not so good. Seafood boil was terrible. Previous Garden pasta was excellent, this time nothing but Zucchini. Enjoy the atmosphere and experience. Will dine here again, hoping this was a one time bad experience.
Wonderful dinner!. Only thing was they have a band playing that was good. But the sound level was way to loud for the size of the building. You literally had to scream to speak to your folks seated with you. Way to loud..
Appetizers are large and can be shared. Entrees come out piping hot and are pleasing to the eye and delicious!
The food was absolutely delicious, but portion sizes were pretty small for the price. Loved that they had acoustic guitar player, he was great, but a little loud for breakfast. But overall very good and I will definitely go back
I wanted to have a especially brunch with my husband and two kiddos at Backwoods on Sunday. To make sure everything was perfect for our special day, I made reservations well in advance, specifically for an outdoor table at 11:15am. When we got there, the hostess did not check my name, just sat us at an indoor table. I told her I had made a reservation for an outdoor table and she said they had just sat the last available one. I asked her how that was possible, since I made a reservation in advance and she said, “Oh, we didn’t really check the reservations.” This was supposed to be a special day, the weather was absolutely perfect for outdoor dining, and we were sat next to a musician (who was fantastic, by the way, just very loud when dining with two kids). We sat for 15 minutes without even being acknowledged, I got up to ask the hostess if anyone was going to wait on us, so she went and found someone who came right over and was very apologetic. Brian was FANTASTIC. Excellent service, thanked us for our patience, was very accommodating to my kids, I cannot say enough good things about him. Food (as always) was amazing. I love this place for the food and atmosphere - I always recommend it to my friends. But I don’t think they should take reservations if they are not going to even look at them. I was trying to plan a special day with my family, and they totally let me down.
We made reservations for an indoor table. When we arrived there were no indoor tables available so we sat outside (So much for making a reservation). It was a nice day so it worked. Our server was pleasant. I ordered the eggs benedict but unfortunately the yolks in the poached eggs were served hard. My brunch companion ordered the pancakes and they were rubbery. The views and scenery were very nice. Overall the food was mediocre.
I enjoy Backwoods because it has it's very own vibe. Interesting specials, nice presentation on the plate. Reasonable wait time, clean, fun. Will return for sure.
Fabulous fun food! Great views! Friendly service!
Our dining experience was great -we sat outside -great weather - awesome food and very friendly waitstaff.
Our only problem was we couldn’t decide what to order because everything that came out of the the kitchen for other customers looked terrific !!
We ate out back on the covered deck and the scenery was beautiful, our waiter Daniel was great, and the food was absolutely delicious!!
First time there and probably won’t be back unfortunately. Sat for 15 minutes before being greeted or asked what our drink would be. Finally was asked, and our waiter started the conversation by telling my husband he has been there with another family. Yes assuming he was with another woman, and kids. We brushed it off as joking. Ordered our meal immediately when we finally put our drink order in. Waited another 30 minutes for our meal. The vibe of the patio was fine with the live music, so we were ok waiting but truthfully haven’t waited that long for a meal in a long time. While ordering drinks waiting for our food, our waiter continued to tell my husband he’s been there with another family. And wouldn’t let it go. Continued to tell him he’s been there before and made both of us uncomfortable. It’s fine to joke: but it turned into a very uncomfortable situation for what was supposed to be our date night. We don’t get a lot of those. The meal was mediocre. Good but have had better for the price. The biggest issue was the beyond slow service and the harassment from our waiter. I’ve worked in the industry: I’ve bartended and managed. But I’ve never felt so uncomfortable from my first experience at a restaurant. And I’m not one to post complaints, but my husband was upset at how he was treated, and I don’t blame him.
The food and service are only outdone by the ambience. Great beer selection. It’s a smaller menu, but there’s still something for everyone. Be sure to ask about their weekly features. Live entertainment is common on the weekends. If you’re a golfer, be sure to visit their 9-hole golf course before sitting down for your food/drink.
Food was good, service was good. Nice outside area. Clean. Would have preferred an area where we could see and hear the group playing.
Our favorite restaurant for sure ! Great food and cocktails and Annie’s desserts are amazing
Wonderful ribs, off a golf course so great views. Had live music (1st Thursday of ever month I believe, and they were great performers doing middle of the road tunes. Perfect for a night out with the family or an easy going date night.
Excellent food and service. Love the outdoor seating.
It was ok! Alcohol is pricey! To many flys bugging us ! Waitress was good!
Second time here and slightly disappointed. My gf ordered flat iron steak medium rare. It was overcooked. I had ribs. They were too smoky and dry. Without the accompanying bbq sauce, they tasted like pure smoke. A bit tough and fatty also for baby backs. We had several flies as table guests too which was annoying. Our first time was much better so don’t know what happened. Definitely would not order the ribs again but would visit again and try something else
Great meal and service, which is hard to find recently. Portions were generous and delicious for a great price.
We enjoyed the full rack of ribs that my husband and I shared. Very generous portion. The cornbread and slaw complemented the ribs. Excellent Caprese Salad. We thought the drinks were a little pricy.
Seared Salmon was delicious and perfectly seasoned and prepared. Roasted vegetables were an added bonus. Pot Roast melted in your mouth and was easy to fork cut.
We went with the small antipasto for the 2, of us as well as the shrimp and guacamole. Serving sizes were appropriate and we left feeling satisfied and will visit again!
Anyone who saw this place years ago would be amazed at the transformation! I couldnt believe my eyes when we first went back a few weeks ago. Factor in great food and service and you have a winner!
Great dining experience
Enjoyed very much .. the food was delicious and the service was outstanding.. will definitely go back very soon
Standard pub fare, but provided with a unique level of pride and professionalism. Prices are also reasonable. The view and ambiance is impressive. It honestly reminds me of the restaurant at Knoebel’s Grove Amusement Park. The gorgeous wood decks overlooking a picturesque creek could not have been more perfect.
First-our drinks were extremely small. (i ordered a margarita and the highball glass was half full)
We ordered "loaded" potato skins. Not so-three skimpy skins hardly "loaded".
Waiter got my order wrong so my husband kindly waited until I received my correct order. Of course his was cold.
Our bill was $100-not worth it.
The food was very good, great ambience, relaxing and fun time. Our Server was great! Loved sitting in the deck area where the large windows were open.
The food was fine but the service was really slow (we had an early reservation and there were only a few other patrons). The kitchen had no less than 4 issues to the point of the chef recalling dishes because ingredients were forgotten. This was a rocky dining experience for an established restaurant. I don’t plan on returning.
The food, drinks, and entertainment never disappoint!!
Food was good, atmosphere was great and the owner greeted us at our table which was refreshing.
Had a great dinner. The menu offers a variety of drink and food options. The setting is great.
Always a friendly staff and great food! We will be back!
Met with old friends from many years ago for dinner. Perfect night except for some confusion when we asked for a different area to sit in. Left standing for 10 minutes, & husband had to walk back to reception to see about delay. Once that was settled, all was wonderful. Love this place!
Fantastic drink menu, food was amazing from start to finish, and our service could not have been better! The weather was perfect, the view was lovely, and Sierra really worked hard to make sure we were happy with everything. It was our first time there and we will definitely be back!
Been there numerous times and have not been disappointed. Food, Drinks and service top notched. If anything negative the dinning room was extremely loud. It was hard to have a conversation.
FIRST TIME VISIT. WILL CERTAINLY BE A FRIDAY NIGHT REGULAR. FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. BRIAN DID A GREAT JOB!
Outstanding food and service as always!
We really enjoyed our experience and our food. The live music was great! Our waitress Baily was fantastic
