Rebecca was great waitress. The food was good, but a little expensive for the quality. They are still working the kinks out.
Collard greens! My opinion, not a Thanksgiving tradition. Small portions and pricy wine.
The food here was pretty good, as was the service. The only thing I could recommend is to have a bit more of an extensive menu.
No other comments but would not visit a second time
My husband’s omelet was not cooked all the way/ cold and hash browns tasted like frost bitten frozen hash browns. My shrimp were over cooked and rubbery. Just not the quality of food we were hoping for.
Only brunch menu at brunch. Cannot order other items or from the kids menu. Great views, but overall a disappointing.
Not many choices for dinner on the menu. Service was spotty. I had received an email offering a free glass of wine with the order of an entree. The server told us that each person at the table needed to have the email in order for all to get a glass of wine; I feel this is deceptive advertising.
Food? Nah, save your money and go somewhere else. Ambiance? Yes, the place is nice and if their food were good we would be regulars. We had wings which were so dry and awful. The only thing that was ok were the truffle fries. My salad was meh! And my husband’s burger was not as special to be that expensive. Overall, nothing we ate will make us come back.
Client Branch with a very simple omelette ordered and what came out looks like cardboard with no fixings. Nothing consistent with what the menu offering had been. They polite and cordial staff are willing to help us out that it was embarrassing to say the least.
I can’t say enough how beautiful this location is and how disappointing the food is for adult business or resort food. I hope they mix the menu to invite more happy hour and ranch offerings for adults with a really wonderful taste. The location deserves it
El peor servicio que me han dado en un restaurante, además nos tardaron en traer la comida 1 hora y 15 minutos
We ate dinner here while staying at the resort for my daughter’s birthday. Our server was wonderful. The food was disappointing restaurant fair. The girls had fun so it was a success thanks to our lovely waitress. Giant milkshakes were fun for the kids.
We went here for brunch. Requested eggs over easy. Eggs so burnt they were not fit to be served but were served anyway.
Good and service were both excellent. Nice view and good ambiance for special occasion
We went with our 1 year old and 7 year old and it was awesome! Our girls got to split a milkshake, play on the food all table, darts, and shuffle board. Out on the patio they also played with the custom connect 4 board, and oversized Jenga blocks. My husband got the huevos rancheros, and I got the hot chicken sandwich. The coleslaw on my sandwich was especially good!
Server was terrific
Beautiful setting in The Woodlands Resort, overlooking the golf course. Service was excellent as well as my breakfast. Directions to location on site were informative and plenty of free parking. Loved, loved the patio! Will be back!
Loved our server Sharon, she made it over the top special.
Our server was lovely - very nice and attentive. Food was not good for the prices they are charging. We ordered a piece of cake which was so dry. It tasted like they pulled out of a Sara Lee box and put it on a plate. Would not go back.
I am so glad you enjoyed the service, but I am sorry to hear your feedback on value. Our chef uses organic ingredients and everything is housemade. We typically get so many compliments on our desserts, I am so sorry it was dry! Please come back and try us again- so you can experience the great dessert we are known for.
Thought the restaurant was kept a bit cold. My husband was even cold who normally isn't. Selection of food was okay.
Please let us know next time on the temperature! I am sorry you were chilly. Come back again soon!
The food was average. Not sure if it was quite worth the price or “ resort “ quality. Wait time was awful. We waited an hour and a a half for our food. The waiter was friendly, but he was definitely waiting too many tables at a time. They need more waiters so that guests are not having to wait hours for service.
I am so sorry that you had a wait! We strive to deliver great service and great food to every guest. Thanks for noting our outdoor dining as a highlight- we agree. We hope to have you back so we can have a chance to show you the amazing food we are known for.
It was loud, the food took a long time to come out and we ordered the shrimp and grits and the shrimp was raw.
They did take it off the bill and apologized. The server was sweet and it wasn’t her fault but overall I miss Robards
Robards was a little gem in The Woodlands, now its been turned into just another sports bar. Screaming children, TV screens everywhere and no ambiance. The food was pricey and sides were extra. I had the duck fat fries, normally they’d be crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, these were soggy and looked like normal fries. My husband had the short rib, said it was tasty but more like a pot roast. I had the pulled pork sandwich, it was ok, couldn’t pick it up to eat as the bun was soggy and falling apart. All in all better restaurants that are better value in the area.
Went for brunch on Labor Day weekend, resort was full, restaurant was empty. Always a bad sign.
EXTREMELY limited menu. Slow service and overpriced food. Would not recommend or return. Too many better options nearby. Disappointing overall experience
The Patty Melt was superb! The view is awesome if you are lucky you’ll be able to enjoy the hummingbirds.
Beautiful patio that is dog-friendly and looks over the 18th island green at Panther Trails course. Food was delicious.
This restaurant was so loud and noisy you could not enjoy the company at the table.
They allowed kids to run all around the place and allowed them to scream and play through the dining area.
Very disappointing experience! It took an hour to get our food and 30 minutes to run credit cards!! ....upscale barfood, nothing fancy. Fried Fish was the best thing on the table. Staff is very relaxed and not attentive at all! Group of 8 of us and all agree we would not go back. Unfortunate as it has potential to be really great!
Great food, just very very slow to get served and receive drinks and food. Very strange because the entire restaurant was about 30% full. Once food was received, it exceeded our expectations.
Outside - lots of items ordered from menu were not available including Ramen, pate (is there a chicken liver shortage I’m unaware of?), and something else. Pricey but we’re at a resort. If you’re staying here it’s a good option but I wouldn’t go out of the way to dine here.
Everything was just good. Nothing however was great, and that is ok…most of the time. The restaurant feels confused. Like it’s not sure what it wants to be. The website and the buildup of what this restaurant is, don’t line up with the reality though. I really expected it to be much nicer and more upscale than what it was based on menu offerings. It’s not. It’s very casual. So much so that The food offerings almost don’t make sense. The proteins were all really good. The sides however were not. Again, not terrible…but just fell well short of the billing.
Had a relatively enjoyable evening, but I’ll leave this one for the tourist and vacationers.
The good: Server was just lovely and accommodating.
The bad: VERY VERY SLOW. It wasn’t just our table. This is a casual place, not meant to be a lingering fine dining experience. Food was served over an hour after we sat down, and all four of us ordered one of their recommended nightly specials. The idle time kinda prompted us to order a second cocktail to fill the time. (Maybe this is their plan.) We noticed one group changed their order to To-Go after waiting so long…probably had to get back to babysitter.
Suggestion: Management needs to serve an amuse-bouche, even bread or popcorn, or comp an appetizer/drink, or SOMETHING when these things happen. Or at least personally acknowledge the situation.
We had high expectations for this restaurant since it was on site at the resort. However, the variety of entrees was lacking and the children's menu dinners were very plain and unappealing for the price. I ordered the chicken and it didn't come with any sides except a strange lump of salad. So just a huge chicken and nothing to go with it basically. Our waiter was very nice, but he did not know much about the menu selections and pronounced several of the foods incorrectly oh, so that was awkward 4 a place that should be considered semi-upscale for the price of the dinners. The oysters were $4 each and were nothing spectacular. My husband ordered the pork sandwich and it also came with no sides and no sides were offered. Just a sandwich on a plate for $18. We also had to wait about 40 minutes before getting our food and the table next to us actually got up and left because they had waited so long. Overall the place has a fun atmosphere with live music but the food was definitely lacking and way too expensive for what you get.
The waitstaff had no knowledge of the items on menu. When a sauce was spilled he offered to bring a rag so WE could clean it.
Go for the food. But there will be service issues. Our 2nd visit was worse than the 1st. 20+ minutes to get a cocktail. 40 minutes wait for the food order — and worse the salads arrived WITH the entrees. Inexperienced wait staff was surprised that we wanted salads BEFORE the main meal. Desserts include donuts that were bought weeks ago at a grocery store. We had problems throughout the meal and never saw a manager/supervisor or had anyone apologize for the suffering. But…the food was good…..but.
Food was great. I will definitely be back to try more options out.
I can't find a word for this place other than weird. The decor is weird, the menu is weird, the feeling I had after having there, weird. I honestly can't explain it. It's like nothing about this place works. I guess I get the whole southern concept, but keep it simple and just provide quality southern food. I ordered the duck and while the flavor of the duck was good, the sides underneath were cold and tasteless. My husband had the chicken and it was just okay, nothing special. He ordered a side of mashed potatoes and everyone at the table swore it was from a box. A friend ordered the shrimp and grits and said it was nothing special. Our waitress was nice enough but service was slow so we decided to go to whiskey cake for dessert. We won't be back.
Deviled eggs and beer can chicken were excellent. Star of the night was the cheesecake milkshake.
The restaurant itself is very very nice. The staff was nice/friendly. The food was very hit or miss. The Denver steak was outstanding, and the lump crab mac n cheese was as well. Their gumbo....is not gumbo, in the traditional sense. It also lacked seasoning/flavor. It was quite bland. We also ordered the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was cooked very well....but the grits were so bad, just awful. They too were very very bland and too think in consistency. i'm going to maybe assume it was an off night for them with regards to the gumbo and grits. I do overall recommend the restaurant.
It was very loud but the food was good and service was good. if a bit slow.
