Fresh roasted, vinaigrette
lightly coated pan seared
Dined here many times. Food quality is still very good. I had the veal chop special and it was excellent. Cooked medium/medium rare and was very flavorful. My wife had the crab bucatini, and there was a large portion of crab in it. Finished with espresso and a limoncello dessert. The service was a bit slower than previous times. But, when they make the dish fresh, I guess this is to be expected.
We love it! Everything is perfect!
Always good service and great food!
Jay's food is delicious. He always has sweetbreads (my favorite) for me. His meatballs are fantastic, as his fradiavalo gravy on mussels. One of our friends last night had a delicious and generous vealchop.
New Year’s Eve was our 2nd visit to this restaurant. We enjoyed it as much as our 1st. Dinner was very delicious and plentiful. They now serve drinks. It was a BYOB. I hope to visit again.
We waited an entire hour before anyone even approached the table. When we asked to order, the server said “no,” and it was “not his table.” We don’t even know WHO our server was because we had to flag someone down and ask for anything we needed. Waited almost two hours before getting the meals, which looked like dog food. I did not receive what I ordered. I had ordered crab and linguine. And received something with clams?
My husband and I had been drinking espresso martinis and old fashioneds. I wanted to order a lemon drop martini (which was clearly listed as the first cocktail on the menu) and was told no, they didn’t have the ingredients.
Apparently they got tired of making them, because we overheard them telling other tables that they were “out of martinis, old fashioneds, and limoncello.”
This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in a very long time. As someone who worked for half my life in the service industry, I understand the value of a good tip. But I also understand it must be earned. This was the first time in my life I can say I left a zero dollar tip…..and I don’t even feel badly about it.
Stay far far away from this restaurant. Olive Garden would’ve been better.
Beautifully decorated for NYE. Great food and service. My only complaint was the music being played - disco. I guess they wanted a party atmosphere but we (including a couple at another table) would have preferred something a bit more mellow.
Great food, great service. Wonderful and welcoming!
Always enjoy ourselves here. At times they can dish out a little attitude if they are stressed (and they always lighten up) but that is all a part of the experience! I am glad to see Bacio is still busy and the food has remained consistently good. Best meatballs, sausage, red gravy/sauce around.
Don’t understand all the hubbub about this restaurant being so highly rated. Food was underwhelming, relatively tasteless, and delivered by an understaffed, singular server who appeared frenzied and annoyed, but doing the best he could under the circumstances.
Sorry Bob, We do offer your money back if you are not satisfied.. Just email us at baciomenu@gmail. .
Our food was delicious! Service was attentive! Great local spot.
The food is excellent, portions are generous and the servers are attentive!
We had a lovely dinner at this local restaurant . We will be back! W
We had a great dinner. Everyone in our party of 4 had a different dish, which each person enjoyed. Food was served hot. Service was good, although the one waiter seemed to be stretched to his limits. The music in the little room took away from the ambience. We have been regulars since the early days in Mt. Airy and will continue to patronize-Covid permitting.
This restaurant is a true gem. The food is delicious and creatively prepared, heart healthy if requested, and an excellent value. Jay, the chef and owner, is especially talented with seafood: the calamari (with a marina that is out of this world), striped bass, cod, scampi and “whole ocean” are are personal favorites, but really, it’s all good. The dining room is elegant, the service friendly, ample parking on site.
Thank you, Frank. You and Diane are true Bacio Friends. We look forward each week in seeing your smiles. an old Italian quote; La vera amicizia è come un raggio di sole in un giorno di pioggia
Great food at a very reasonble price. Good service, fairly quiet, nice old building.
We will go again.
Another great Meal at Bacio! The food and service are always excellent at fair prices. The decor in the new location is pleasantly minimalistic. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.
refined lux rest; unexpected find for local rest.; food was great those meatballs, fabulous & the brocolli rabb -great app. & wonderfull desert & even an espresso. W E will be back!
Love everything about. Baccio, food, service and the owner!!
It had been a couple years since we went here, and it was even better than I remembered. We were there on a Sunday evening, so the restaurant was close to empty, so very low noise levels, and very personalized service. The owner even came out to greet us, remembering us from when the restaurant was located in Mount Airy. The food was excellent for a neighborhood restaurant, and the guests we brought were suitably impressed.
We arrived on time for our reservation and had to wait about 20 minutes as table was not ready. When we were seated I noticed several tables were ready. So we were kept needlessly waiting and I was not thrilled with that. Out waiter had an Italian accent and had some problem understanding. When I asked him to repeat he was very obviously miffed with me and gave an attitude. The other wait staff were excellent so I was pleased
Always great place. We go there often
New waiter who was very nice but a little lacking is why rating wasn’t outstanding. The food was excelllent and serving were not skimpy so the value was also excellent .
It was my first time there and will definitely return.
My husband and I went out with friends and had a wonderful overall experience
First time here and I would highly recommend it. The service and food were excellent.
We have eaten there several times. Excellent food.
Excellent food !!!
$6.00 WINE !!!
The four of us loved it ! Going back again.
Excellent homemade pasta. The lobster ravioli is one of the best in the Philly area.
Great food, owner Jay is an excellent chef. Service was great, thanks to Sebastian our waiter. Always a good time here
Excellent service, nice ambiance, good food and an enjoyable sound track of classics to accompany it all. I had a well made veal marsala that was sizable- I took half if it home. My husband enjoyed his mussels fra diavlo and lasagna. We will return.
Wonderful meal! The waitstaff was attentive. The other diners were spaced out comfortably in the dining room. We had calamari as an appetizer as well as some broccoli rabe. Both were hot and delicious! We all had the amazing eggplant parmigiana for entrees. It is my favorite dish on their menu and it never disappoints.
Great food, wonderful service. Jay, the chef/owner is a fabulous cook. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend, we went on a Thursdday. Just know all food is cooked to order so if you go prime time(Sat or Friday) be prepared to wait a bit, it is worth it.
Food and service wonderful!
The sweet potato gnocchi were delicious! Our server was James. He was wonderful!
WOW!!! I’ve driven by Bacio countless times. It’s very unassuming. Nothing about the place screams, “Dine here!!”, so I never did, just passed the place by.
Last night, Saturday, Oct. 2, I went onto Open table to find reservations somewhere for 5 of us at 6 p.m. and could only find 1 that was anywhere close; Bacio. So we “settled” and went. We were immediately greeted and sat. We ordered drinks, which arrived very promptly and then we were brought a complimentary tomato salad. It was the best thing I’ve ever eaten. I’m baffled at how anything could taste that good. How?? Then my meat lasagna came out. Hands down the best lasagne I’ve ever had, by far. The marinara was pure heaven and the meat and cheese and the rest of whatever they did to craft that amazing dish was sheer magic. My kids, who can be picky with food LOVED what they got!
Our waiter, James, was fun and kind and very attentive. He made us feel welcome and glad that we were there. The rest of the staff were super nice. The place is a “hidden” gem. We’ve found our favorite restaurant. Thank you, James and the rest of the Bacio team for an amazing experience!!!
We went to Bacio to celebrate our anniversary. The food was good, but you didn't get much for the price. There was only one waiter in the whole place, so we waited a long time for everything. He never asked us about dessert or mentioned our anniversary. I understand he was busy. There was cold air blowing the whole time so I was uncomfortable.
An absolute gem. An array of elegantly prepared, delicious, healthful food at extremely reasonable prices. The chef will go out of his way to accommodate special dietary requests.
Great food and wonderful service!! Doe not get better than this!
everything was great. They recently switched to a new bread and I liked the other bread better but that may just be my personal taste
This restaurant has potential. The food lacked good authentic flavors and complexity. Weak. Ps- capers are an accent and should not overpower the dish. Also, nowhere on their website does it state BYOB.
