This restaurant has potential. The food lacked good authentic flavors and complexity. Weak. Ps- capers are an accent and should not overpower the dish. Also, nowhere on their website does it state BYOB.

Went there early before movie. Everything was so tasty and staff so attentive. They must have overheard my rudeness of wishing that pasta came with my dish, and promptly brought some out for me. Big portions, prepare to bring some home. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for Italian food with authentic flavor!
All of the food we ordered was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! I was delight my surprised as it my first time there as well as my family. Our waiter was sweet, informative and attentive. The calamari was SO GOOD and the gravy to dip it in was the best I’ve ever tasted. The Sweet potato gnocchi with Gorgonzola cream sauce will be in my dreams - my new favorite dish is their Chicken Marsala - CHEFS KISS!!! Will be coming back for all special occasions :)

In the past, I have ordered and loved the Fra Diablo mussels. Last night, they were so so. The sauce was thicker and not as spicy as I remembered; additionally, there wasn't much of it. The mussels were rather large, which I understand in that they are a living shellfish and it depends on many things as to their size upon purchasing them. Other than that, my husband loved his veal piccata and I thought the special of grilled romaine w/ blue cheese was divine. Our waiter, Sebastian, was as always wonderful. He was attentive, personable, and just an all-around great waiter. Thx. We will return.

Celebrating friends' anniversary and adding our granddaughter to the mix, it was delicious, joyful, peaceful, extraordinary service from James, all around top of our list.
Quiet elegance, delicious food creatively prepared and in ample portions, friendly service, great value. The chef/owner is very talented and makes real effort to accommodate special requests/needs. Bacio is a gem. Just terrific!

I would highly recommended this neighborhood gem! The only disappointment was their website said they had a full bar but they only had wine. If we knew it was a byo we would have brought some ! They should clarify this now on their website and on open table. Food was delicious and the waiter was wonderful. We will come back and recommend to others.😄

Had a great meal& time. Ordered the cod fish with capers .. delicious. My friend ordered the veal parmigiana and had leftovers. The waiter James was the best! He gave us dessert on the house for having the table with the most personality…. Definitely returning 😊

Nice atmosphere. The service was friendly, but understaffed. The wine list was limited. Apparently, you can bring BYOB (we didn't know), and you should. Our entrees (shrimp scampi and branzino) were excellent. But the broccoli rabe appetizer (sour) and over-cooked roasted cauliflower head were not. The gluten-free pasta was a plus for us, but it came already smothered in tomato sauce, and pasta is the only starch option. The restaurant does not offer potatoes, risotto, or polenta, which would frankly be preferable for us. Bottom line: Nice atmosphere, friendly but over-stretched service, limited wine, uneven food. Your experience may differ.

The four of us are long time customers of Bacio, and had not visited recently because of the Pandemic. We were happy to see, it is still one of the best Italian Restaurants in the entire Philadelphia, metropolitan area. My wiife and the other lady had the claim bake which was they stated absolutely delicious. I had one of Jay's specialties, Egg Plant Parm, which was as good as I remembered. All in all a wonderful expeience.

Fresh bread, bruschetta and calamari. All very tasty. Bronzino, rainbow trout and seafood pasta was delicious. Beal picata was tender and very tasty. Everything was well prepared.
Thought it might be closed due to all shades drawn down . Service slow & not a full bar service . Food was very good . Need to stay open on a consistent basis .

We were seated promptly. Our server, James, was attentive and thoroughly informed regarding the evenings specials. All three of us enjoyed Jay's mussels fradiavalo. The sauce was rich and spicy to our liking, and the mussels were plump. Owner/chef Jay
went out of the way to obtain sweetbreads, my favorite, and they were prepared
perfectly. The cucumber salad was delicious, as was the gravy with the spaghetti side.

We started with a small antipasto, which imaginatively composed and not small at all. My scallops were perfectly cooked. Served with sausages and mushrooms over linguine, they were delicious, and the portion was generous. My husband’s fra diavolo chicken and shrimp was also well made. We enjoyed an excellent tiramisu dessert. We were happy to be there.

We went to Bacio with a couple friends on a lousy weather day. The help was very accommodating and food terrific we will definitely go back.
Food was delicious. We had bruschetta that tasted so fresh. Our meal was taking a while so the chef sent out fried cauliflower that was amazing!
Entrees were great but very rich in flavour so couldn't eat a ton.
Drinks were nothing I would return for. They let you BYO and I would recommend that as they can only make basic drinks.

Good reliable Italian food in a comfortable casual dining room.The service is excellent and unhurried. The noise level is a little loud for serious or intimate conversation but ok for everyday dinner talk. It's just a nice place for a relaxing enjoyable dinner. Parking was not the problem I worried about. I plan to visit often.

Rating speaks for itself. Our waiter was friendly and courteous but could of dressed differently as the attire did not fit the venue.

Overall, considering the times we live in the food and service were ok. Restaurant is udergoing some renovations so atmosphere reflected that. What passes as a bar was not very good. Asked for vodka and there were no choices of brand. Our server did his best and we were satisfied with that.
Have been before to Bacio and this was not the best visit. Perhaps when renovations are complete and times are more normal it will improve.
Mussels Fra Diavolo did not disappoint once again! The tomato based version IS spicy, so if that's not your thing, order the cream-based option, which looks good too. My husband ordered the linguini w/ seafood. Delicious. His plan was to bring half home, but it was so good, he ate the whole meal there.
We had Sebastian as our waiter and he was fantastic. This little BYOB is a gem of a place.
My wife and I have eaten regularly at Bacio for several years and consider it a true gem. Jay, the owner and chef, is exceptionally talented and creative and the atmosphere quiet, friendly, and elegant. The menu mainstays are delicious and frequently there are inventive and quite wonderful specials. My own favorites are the scungilli (conch) salad, the lightly fried calamari with a terrific marinara, the whole ocean platter, the veal marsala and the cod. (I could go on.) In addition, Jay happily accommodates special preferences or requirements, such as heart-healthy, vegan, or gluten free. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
The food was excellent, even the bread was fresh and delicious. The service and ambience could not have been better. We had a birthday in our party and they handled that perfectly as well.
