Went on a Weekend night. Was pretty loud while larger groups were there.
Pizza was very good the salads and other items mediocre
Delicious food. Pasta is hand-made. Also, plenty of choices for those who are gluten-free. Server was very attentive and nice. A perfect evening at this restaurant.
Best kept secret in Williamsburg. True Italian menu with quality ingredients (versus the overly sauced American version of Italian food). The Trentina salad of butter lettuce and apples was exceptional and enough for two people. Homemade, al dente pasta dishes took us back to Italia — simple and delicious. Looking forward to our next meal at Baci Abbraci.
Kind of a hidden gem in Williamsburg, and the food never disappoints!
Everyone who worked there was friendly and attentive. We ordered 3 different pizzas that were mediocre - they tasted undercooked and the crust was soft and chewy. Unfortunately in a neighborhood rife with great food options I would not recommend this or return.
Great food from appetizer to my martini to dessert. Highly recommend
Great food. I would say it’s a legit Italian. We had the fried calamari, prosciutto e funghi pizza, lasagna, brocoli rabe, everything was really good to me. The tiramisu as dessert was a great choice, don’t miss it! I usually get disappointed easily with Italian places in NYC and this one is really a keeper.
I organized a surprise birthday party here. The manager gave me the choice of a prix fix or a la carte menu, both options are great. The amount of people in attendance changed a few times, yet he was extremely patient and accommodating. The food was amazing and well priced. I would definitely organize another party here.
Great spot! The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! Giovanni was super friendly and very attentive.
I had a great NYE dinner here, the pre-fixe menu was delicious. The wine list was affordable as well.
We had a reservation for 6 our table was ready promptly. Staff was prompt, friendly and outgoing. Our server also made our martinis to order exactly as requested. Food was fresh, pasta was excellent and service was sensational. Thank you for a great night out while visiting Williamsburg.
I have read other reviews and the place seemed great. Maybe I just did not have a good experience.
First of all, it was a cold cold night (20 degrees) and for some reason they sat us on the back room where the heaters were not really working at it's full potential. There was another table out there and they all had their winter jackets still on it was so cold. We asked and on the 2nd time they allowed us to go back into the regular dining room where it was much warmer. Five mins later, we noticed the other couple came inside the restaurant as well. Why would you sit customers there in the 1st place? Specially where you had plenty of open tables inside? It was REALLY cold in the 'backyard'.
The overall rest of the experience was sub par. We ordered a spinach ravioli with truffle oil which was what saved the night. We also ordered the Branzino and were both very unimpressed by it, so much that almost half of it was left on the plate. We were still hungry and decided to give it another shot and ordered one of their 'specials' for the night a homemade pappardelle pasta with wild mushrooms and ricotta. Let's just say there was nothing 'special' about it. It was on the dry side and I am still looking for the 'wild mushrooms'. We took 2 bites out of the dish. The waiter noticed our dish was basically untouched and came over and asked us and we very nicely told him there was just nothing special about it and we did not like it. He said im sorry and took it away. The bill came and we were fully charged for that pasta. Mind you we had ordered 1 apptz, 3 entries and a bottle of wine, so it's not like we weren't paying for anything else.
We didn't say anything and still left 20% tip, but I will not be coming back here nor would I recommend this place. Based on my experience they have several things to improve on.
The ambiance and the service were good but the food just wasn't consistently authentic or up to par. The pizza bordered on bland, the tomato sauce in the eggplant Parmesan appetizer was also bland, though the eggplant was well cooked. I tasted two people's pasta dishes and they were a mix of ingredients that did not mesh well, both of them. The prices, however, are extremely reasonable.
Excellent!
Food is authentic modern Italian.
Delicious!
The food was very authentic and tasted delicious although the portion was a little small. The service is amazing and very attentive!!! I would recommend between two people to also split an appetizer. The pricing is a bit on the higher end.
The restaurant has a nice warm vibe and the staff was very welcoming. I really enjoyed the carbonara, but my dining partner did not enjoy her pizza. We also had calamari and drinks which were just okay. Everything is reasonably prices though and it's really close to the movie theater for an affordable pre-/post-movie meal.
Really great restaurant! The staff was super accommodating and we had a group of 13. Food was delicious and affordable.
Honestly, avoid this place.
First of all, the ambience is very lousy. They have stuffed FAR too many tables into this extremely small space to the point where we were seated right next to the front door. Every time someone came or went, a cold gust of wind would sweep into the restaurant and chill us to the bone.
The drinks were awful. I ordered the Malbec from the menu which was just fine, and my girlfriend ordered the mojoto. I wish I took a picture of it, but it was an absolute disaster. Way overpowered with lime, as there were two entire lime halves floating in the small glass. Drink was a mess, and she took one sip and couldn’t have anymore.
The bread starter was equally as puzzling. The bread seemed to be thrown in the basket with no care or purpose whatsoever, and was served in a ramekin of plain olive oil. This was the blandest, cheapest olive oil I have ever tasted - it was like dipping your bread into water. If you’re going to serve bread with only olive oil as a condiment, it had better at least be some decent oil.
The main courses were also poor. I ordered the beet and goat cheese gnocchi, which literally tasted like cigarette smoke. My girlfriend ordered the margarita pizza which was a liquidy mess. Absolutely impossible to pick up, she had to scoop the soggy crust off her plate with a knife and fork.
The service was fine, but was definitely not enough to make up for the major disappointment of everything else.
Surprisingly delicious. Ambience okay. There was a problem that I'll describe below but because everything else was so good I didn't take off any stars: Even though OT offered earlier reservations and I took one (6pm, I think), I quickly got a call from the restaurant saying there wouldn't be availability till 7 b/c of a large party. I kept the rez & adjusted. Took a chance & showed up 6:40 but party still in progress. Came back at 7 and to my surprise the party had indeed just cleared out. My complaint is that the host should have thanked us for our understanding and patience and for our patronage under the circumstances. But the other virtues made up for this "sin." Will go back.
Nouse level unbearable. We had to shout to Speak to person sitting right next to me. Would not return.
Place was too busy for decent service or decent food.
Despite aspiring to a classy vibe the place provides ketchup.
Friendly staff, great food, very good value for money
Great quality food and service. I love the ambiance in the summer sitting outside with the lights. Very good food.
We always enjoy Baci Abbracci. Great food, attentive service, and pleasant atmosphere. A great place to eat!
The service was really good and very friendly. The bartender was excellent. The food was just OK. Spaghetti was a bit overcooked; the risotto seemed as though it had not been seasoned at all and the salmon was overcooked. When they bring you olive oil for your bread...they bring you a brand other than your own that they sell on the premises. (We all though this was weird.) We requested a sample of theirs, which they happily brought us. It was very good. The meatballs were also very good. So -- a mixed bag.
Very good Italian food with several menu choices including pizza pasta and seafood. We had the octopus appetizer which was amazing and the black squid ink pasta with seafood also excellent. Next time we will try the pizzas which also seemed popular there with diners. The waiter was one of the best I have ever had. So attentive and eager to please. I cant remember his name but remember he was from Ecuador. Will return again!
We brought my parents here for my mother's birthday. We sat in the garden which my mother appreciated. The food was good and enough choices to please picky palates. It did get quite loud after a few other parties were seated.
Everything was great! Delicious food, friendly and fast service. Would definitely come back!
Pizza was soggy and overrated by zaggot . Italian restaurant with Mexican cooks. Really ?
Nice place.
Wonderful food and service.
I am always more than delighted by the food, wine and service. Delicious!
We love it here and we have been coming for years! The owners are absolutely lovely people and the food and wine are wonderful!
Went here on Mother's Day. Staff was extremely friendly and food was great! Awesome outdoor seating area at a great Williamsburg location.
We sat in the courtyard on a lovely springtime day. The restaurant was busy but still good service. It is a very unpretentious place with good food and very friendly.
Quiet, relaxing, never rushed. Cute garden out back- nothing fancy, but perfect for nice weather. Reasonably priced. We had the lamb ragu, Lamb shank, gnocchi, squid ink pasta, cheese plate, focaccia, and carbonara. Everything was delicious, even the wine which I thought was reasonably priced for a bottle too. Focaccia was more of like flat bread but it ended up being perfect with the cheese plate. Everyone in my party loved the meal and said they would come back again.
very good experience my Fiancee had a great time for her birthday!!
Nice place. Noise level is only moderate because there are a lot of tables in a small space. The food here is pretty darn good. Spinach ravioli is damn good. The cocktails are also very special here.
Good for a date or to bring friends from out of town to dinner.
The restaurant atmosphere was fine - as described. The food was not so wonderful. Sauces too scarce on the pasta, takeout order (pasta) was poorly prepared and very dry. The food all had a rather odd taste. Kind of disappointed in this one - particularly given the "reviews"
