About Bacco Restaurant
Bacco restaurant is family run and well established for 15 years in Richmond. We serve authentic Italian food using seasonal ingredients. We are very passionate about home cooking just like our families in Italy and therefore we make our own pasta, foccacia bread and desserts.
Our service style is very attentive and relaxed.
We have an extensive Italian wine list ranging from small producers from different parts of Italy to well-known vineyards such as Antinori.
Weather permitting, we have a decked forecourt for dining or having aperitivo. Our alfresco dining can sit up to 40 diners and it can be covered and heated during the cooler seasons.
We also cater for large group in our private dining area "Vinoteca" whereby we can sit up to 27 people.

Bacco Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Good Location , warm welcome , Food was good ,only issue was 2 pasta dishes could have been hotter ,especially when served on cold plates !! . The chocolate fondant sweet was a small rectangular sponge cake overdone and with no melting chocolate sauce .
Would go back although probably for the pre theater menu which represents better value .
This is a lovely family restaurant with a limited but good menu. Excellent wine list and very good attentive service. Only disappointment was that two of the menu items were not available. It was also our 37th wedding anniversary which I had stated on my booking form but there was no acknowledgment of that.
Bacco is my new favourite restaurant in Richmond. I know it's been there for years and I have lived in the wider area for years too but I have recently refound it and I love it! Very good food and really lovely cocktails. Delightful service. Lovely outdoor area on warm evenings. Buzzy, friendly. Excellent place to meet people because of proximity to the station. And overall pretty good value. Could do with 1 or 2 more everyday wines on the list at say the £20 mark but many other luscious treats on the wine list. Bacco is firmly on my list and I look forward to getting to know it even better!
Food took a long time to arrive but the waiter did apologise and offer to remove service charge from the bill. However their service and care was much appreciated so I was happy to pay the extra tip.
Food quality was decent. dishes looking simple but with good tastes.
First visit to Bacco for some time and glad we did. Good , friendly and knowledgeable service, quality authentic Italian dishes and great Italian wine list. Not a bargain but very fair for Richmond and cooking of this quality. Quite busy but easy to chat. Look forward to next visit....
A charming meal at Bacco's as usual, with a wonderful welcome made special for Mother's Day. Even with a set menu for the special occasion there was a wealth of choice, including for the vegetarian among us. The quality of the cooking was first-class for all three courses. With a Negroni to start and fine wine with the meal, this was an excellent, relaxed lunch to remember in a restaurant that never disappoints.
It was amazing, as always. You walk into Italy and are made to feel special. The food is creative, excellent quality, and the price very competitive for the standard. Service exceptional. We had a wonderful evening. We had beef carpaccio, baby octopus salad, grilled seafood, monkfish linguine. Thank you!
Bacco has had a makeover and looks quite smart now. A nice welcome as usual. We both had the prawn starter which David said had changed from large prawns in shells to not such large prawns not in shells. But we enjoyed the dish. Mains I had a good spaghetti dish and David had the monkfish washed down by a good bottle of cold Verdicchio. Desserts and coffee were fine.
Three of us met before a matinée at the theatre just round the corner. We were able to choose a table on the terrace outside on a balmy day of the late Indian summer. The food was tasty, if not outstanding. The special "early bird" lunch-time menu made it good value, although we had to ask for this, having been presented with just the a la carte menu by the somewhat bemused waiter. Yes, I would return, but exercise the same watchfulness next time.
My husband and I had dinner at Bacco restaurant on our date night. Service was very good and very quick. I can't say we liked our table but we were not given any other option. To be fair we didn't ask to be moved...
I had a salad to start with which was very basic nothing worth mentioning about it. The prawns seemed a much better choice. My main was the mixed fish grill which was super and I highly recommend. The pasta was good but again nothing exceptional. We both had the tiramisu to end our meal I thought it was ok... By far not the best tiramisu I had...
All in all a good night but we were not blown away by this place...
I have long been a fan of Bacco for business meals and their special themed evenings as well as any number of "let's go there" occasions, but this time they certainly went the extra mile. Unknown to me my guest was a vegan who phoned ahead to warn them and a delicious special meal was prepared for her without any fuss. The welcome is always warm and the food scrumptious.
We needed somewhere close to the Curzon cinema in Richmond, and after MUCH searching settled on Bacco. It was a great choice (other options all appeared to have 'faults' from previous reviews but Bacco was quite 'neutral'. In my view this is an excellent restaurant overall and certainly did not disappoint. Ask to be away from the door (as we did having read previous reviews!) and the ambience will be good.
