It was our 50th wedding anniversary and the staff made us feel very special.
Not busy but waiter paid no attention to us. Served the sparkling wine warm. Just so not impressed.
Excellent! Our server Tyler & helpers were superb! Our 5th time visit. Always great food, service, low noise level.
We had the most amazing food and service at dinner the other night.
Conversation friendly, excellent everything.
Worth the drive from Chicago!
We did the chef tasting with the wine pairings and it was amazing! Our servers, Ryan and Lydia, were attentive, informative and very well educated on the dishes being served as well as the wines. They let us set the pace of our meal which is very important to us. It was a wonderful experience!
Service was excellent, but...I had the Wagyu (most expensive entree on the menu) which was okay but not as good as I would’ve hoped for the price. Try the Harbor House instead.
If your looking for a romantic evening with beautiful views, magnificence cuisine, fantastic customer service and a warm surroundings, then Bacchus is the premier destination. The wine list was exceptional and the opportunity to enjoy a 7 or 10 course pairing is enticing. The menu is delicious and provocative combined with a quality service that is phenomenal. We have and will return to enjoy this gem.
Everything was phenomenal! The best dining experience I’ve had since I lived in Los Angeles. Ryan, our server, was extremely knowledgeable and educated on the menu. I will definitely go back.
Everything was great. We celebrate special occasions at Bacchus.
We had a fantastic dinner before a show this past week. The wait staff was very attentive and paced our dinner so that we were able to get to the show in plenty of time. Patrick, the manager, was also very helpful with a problem we had with our tickets.
We have always had great dinners at Bacchus and last week was no exception.
Overall everything was awesome. Just the upsetting part when done eating bar closes to early and we waisted a good $ to not be served at the bar.
My first course was lukewarm as was my husbands entree. My entree was over salted to the point I had no desire to eat it. The preparations were just average, not enough innovative flavors for the prices charged. Service was great and management took the entrees off of our bill which was the right thing to do as we didn’t eat much. Too little value on wine - this is our last dinner at Bacchus.
Very impressed because I did my preview work but you never know. Well selected menu with nice specials for the evening. Wine list is excellent and one the best in Milwaukee.
Good food and the service was satisfacory... Unfortunately we were next to a couple who was clearly drunk, they were yelling, crying, making out, and making their personal business very public. Therefore the ambiance was miserable, and my sugestion would be to space the dinning areas out a bit more, my partner and I were sqeezed in between couples less than four feet away which is unnecessary in a place that claims fine dinning, and we didnt dine cheaply either and tipped well... I just expect better standards for fine dinning for which my partner and I have a passion for.
This is a phenomenally wonderful restaurant.
Very disappointed with the bluefin tuna fish I ordered. Tuna tasted fishy-very strongly.
We had the seven course meal with the wine parting. The meal was excellent the wines were superb. I would do it all again and stay wary from the menu. The food we had was not on the menu and every bite was delicious. Highly recommend the restaurant as well as the waiting staff all were excellent
We dine at Bacchus frequently and are never disappointed! Excellent food and one of the best wine lists in the Milwaukee area.
The 5 course tasting menu was simply outstanding. The chef was creative and gave us extra special touches and surprises with every course. Service was first rate, perfectly paced and attentive. The bartenders and specialty cocktails were flawless, the experience was a true get-away.
We dine at Bacchus 4 to 6 times a year and always enjoy the entire experience. On this visit our family of 6 dined in the bar at a high top, and really liked the experience, made particularly notable by bartender Ryan, our server, along with Tom and Chad—a very experienced and professional team. Of course the food was great—served timely, hot and appropriate amounts. For those who like wine lists—this one is very well developed with a wide price range. we highly recommend Bacchus.
Ambience is immersive - this is a dining experience. Service is thoughtful without being fussy. The food, however, is the star of the show, and the menu is an embarrassment of riches. The venison as a entree was perfectly done, and would have worked just as well as a dessert. The wine list is excellent with some adventurous choices, though the bulk does stick to Californian standards.
A birthday celebration at a favorite place.
Consistently excellent food & service quality bring us back - time and again to this chic environment.
This is a great restaurant & team - it is a reference of excellence to compare with any major city in the country.
Food was cold, out of the wine we wanted, couldn't make the drink I ordered. Not the usual Bacchus experience. Friday night at 8:30 and no one was there
Samantha and Richard were fabulous servers. Ask for them when you book a table:))
Service and food was great- only issue was we took three deserts to go- and the ice cream on one or two didn’t get in out to go bag!
Desert was good- but it was missing the ice cream.
We went to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. The wait staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the variety of wines. Our food was outstanding. Couldn’t have picked a better restaurant foe her celebration.
Bacchus never disappoints. It is one of my favorite places for fine dining in Milwaukee. It seems like it could be stuffy- but the character of staff and their friendly service are anything but.
Most dinners are dressed up or fashionable- this includes jeans.
The menu has great options- and always something interesting/creative to explore. Dishes are superb with great presentation. Plus- possibly one of the best old fashions in Milwaukee; if that's your thing. Extensive wine and cocktail list. It is generally spendy- but for the ambiance, food etc. it is what one would expect.
Great place for foodies, find dining, dates and special occasions.
They don't really advertise being a steak house- but be sure not to overlook them as an option- they never disappoint!
Fantastic service and excellent food. The tasting menu with wine pairings was top notch!!!
My boyfriend and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary here on valentines day! We had great service and the place was very romantic. The perfect date.
Went for Valentine’s Day with my wife. We enjoyed a great dinner with exceptional service.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food! Will definitely be going back soon.
Excellent experience with the Chef's Tasting Menu paired with wine. Attention to detail was outstanding and the entire experience was elegant. Wines selected were so perfect, the nearly outshone the food.
Great experience as always with the Bartolotta group! They even brought out birthday ice cream for my girlfriend!
The food, ambience and service is the best in Milwaukee. Be prepared to pay for it though. We go once per year for a special occasion and are never disappointed! I highly recommend this restaurant for that special occasion.
I came here with my significant other to celebrate Valentine's Day. We had full intentions of doing the 5-course tasting with wine pairings prior to arriving. The food did not disappoint and the pairings were perfect! Overall, a good value given the quality and creativeness of each dish.
Excellent cheese, foie gras, pasta, wine list! Joshua was great!
Bacchus is one of our favorite places in Milwaukee for a nice leisurely meal for a special occasion. We are pescatarians, and we love that there is both a vegetarian and a regular menu to choose from. The food was outstanding, with a range of tastes, and paced just right. One of us had 1/2 glass wine pairings with the meal and these were a real treat. The other had a classic cocktail that was top notch. The servers were highly attentive. Thank you Bacchus for an excellent meal and dining experience.
Amazing food and attentive service
This was a 42nd wedding anniversary. So although it was a long drive, it was well worth it
We shared appetizers, including two orders of foie Gras (our favorite) Hard to get this in the US.
An entree (shared), a great bottle of wine, that was recommended by our server and desert, and then to the bar for after dinner drinks. The bartender there does an awesome job
Our family so enjoyed the entire dining experience.
