About
Me and my hubby came for our anniversary and what an amazing meal! The waitress and hostess were so kind and made great recommendations. The dessert we had (Paris Brest) was phenomenal. Will definitely recommend to friends and be back for another yummy meal.
Took a group of friends to Bacchanal on the Thursday night of a long weekend, so the restaurant was extremely quiet. Which was too bad, as the food and service were spectacular! But I would definitely go back again!
We came here for my husbands 36th birthday...and my gosh did it not disappoint. I have been following bacchanal on Instagram for a year...this was our first time diving in. We had the tuna and tomato dish, foie gras, pork tenderloin, and the rhubarb dessert. I had hw house white during their 5:30-7:30 happy hour, my husband had the signature cocktail. I cannot say one bad thing. The restaurant is gorgeous and the music was all old school Motown which just made everything come alive . Recommend highly a visit to this restaurant for any occasion. We can’t wait to go back! Service was excellent from A-Z, very attentive and knowledge about each dish was fantastic. Great job bacchanal!
The food was great. So was the cocktail. I did not have much options for the main course. Recommend expanding the menu and having some of the appetisers converted to larger portions as mains. I loved the appetiser. Could have had it as a main with a larger serving- the pasta with hen of the wood in a nice green sauce.
We had an excellent meal and the service was great.
Perhaps one of the best restaurant experiences of my life. Certainly the best Summerlicious experience of my life!
I highly recommend Bacchanal. The food was phenomenal. Salads were excellent and portions were generous, my husband ordered pork tenderloin and I enjoyed a great vegetarian dish. We ordered some extra sides which didn’t disappoint! Loved the cocktails at the bar before sitting down to eat. Cocktails were unique and delicious. Service was excellent. Will definitely go back and would recommend this restaurant.
The chef/owner is the son of two friends of mine. I worked with his father many years ago. This is Luke’s solo venture so I had to give Bacchanal a try. I’m very glad I did. The food coming out of the kitchen is very good, albeit a bit scanty for the Summerlicious choices. But I learned that Luke understands food and a return for the a la carte menu is in the cards. In the meantime, the starter crepe Suzette with foie gras was supernal, the sea bream for the main course was cooked beautifully, and the Paris-Presse dessert was gob-smackingly decadent. Our server was terrific even as she had to tell one of us they don’t have decafe Americanos. That shortfall needs attention.
We decide to try Bacchanal’s summerlicious meal. It was outstanding , the food was amazing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant. I will definitely go back and certainly recommend the restaurant to my friends.
Fantastic food coupled with fantastic service! We went for Summerlicious, and we will be returning for sure!
Portions were very small. Wasn't ready for all of the deliciousness to end!
Food is so incredible, staff is kind and gracious, the decor and ambiance is top notch
I went there for summerlicous and I think i picked 3 great dishes that I really enjoyed. Service is good too!
Poor service but the food was excellent .
Service was fantastic, the food was fantastic. These guys went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! Best meal of the 2019 year so far
Felt like the whole team was working together to ensure their guests were having a good time. From the head chef to the bussers, you can tell everyone cares.
Food was delicious!
The scallop dish was incredible, very unique and delicious, next time I'll order two, it's that good. We had a lovely evening and the food was great.
Rainbow trout, escargot, scallops and a chicken dumpling dish. everything was great and the prices were reasonable. 10/10 would go again.
While visiting Toronto, we chose the restaurant for the Pastry chef and the wonderful reviews regarding her Paris Brest. Second best Paris brest ever tried ( Best to Jacques Genin in Paris). That says a great deal about how amazing this pastry chef at Bacchanal is. From one Pastry chef to another, thank you for a fabulous evening in your restaurant.
My favourite under-appreciated and over-performing top-tier restaurant in Toronto. As good as any of the top 10!
Great food! Great cocktails! I recommend Le Dauville!
I took my mom for her 80th Birthday with my daughter. Upon arrival there were 3 glasses of champagne. The whole staff welcomed us and our server made us feel special and at home. We never felt rushed and our food was absolutely delicious. The room is stunning also. If you haven’t been then go immediately.
Great place, with excellent food and service. Good to go for dating or private conversation.
Had a very pleasurable meal there. Service and food were great. Love the open kitchen.
Great food and decor, and awesome service. Loved it!
Lovely restaurant in a secluded corner of bustling Toronto. We opted for Carte Blanche and let the experts plan our meal. The presentation was well done and the food was just amazing! Definitely a place to return.
The Cote de boeuf was outstanding!
The food was amazing, delicious. The ambiance was a bit stark. We also thought the food was a bit over priced.
Amazing food and the service was exceptional
We returned to Bacchanale because both food and service are very good. The chef is particularly good with vegetables. We ordered the tasting menu because we enjoy the variety. The only disappointment was the seafood course. I understand about rising costs, but perhaps it would be better to drop it from the menu than describe 4 oysters, 2 shrimp and a seafood cruda of 2 scallops as a 'tower'. The Paris Brest pastry was lovely.
This was a good restaurant. I felt it was a bit heavy on french fries and the food was rather greasy. I would like to come back when the menu is updated to include more delicious vegetables that are fresh and not fried!
My new favourite restaurant in TO. Everything was delicious. Wine list was great and the Paris Brest was to die for (get the wine pairing)
My boyfriend and I just came out of the blue looking for a delicious meal on a Sunday night. We found the restaurant on Google Maps actually, noticing it was out by itself a bit away from Queen street.
The ambience was great, it was a quieter night because it was pouring rain, it was like we had our own private restaurant because our table was very secluded.
We went for the chef's tasting menu with wine pairings, and had an amazing meal, trying all the best the restaurant has to offer. The poached halibut, the pasta, the steak, we couldn't choose just one part of the meal that stood out to us. The staff was also incredible, giving us some knowledge on the history of our wine and the dishes we were being served. We both agreed this is the best meal we've ever had in the city of Toronto.
The warm bread and whipped butter was AMAZING. exactly what most restaurants should do but almost never do. Great first impression. Steak/frites was a 7.5 out of 10
Attentive staff, excellent food and enjoyable evening.
Great restaurant, friendly and attentive service. Love the casual dining atmosphere. Also another plus that the elevator to the underground parking was connected to the restaurant. Otherwise a great experience overall.
Great experience..cocktails were fabulous we had theduck and the scallops ...superb
Food was excellent. Staff were very accommodating to food allergies and preferences.
Had the salmon and it was delicious. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Good specially drinks too
Exceptional food with a sophisticated environment. Great wine list, great location and amazing chefs. Don't miss a great experience at a fair cost.
