We’ve been here several times, this time we ordered more than usual. Always great!
Great food, good service and clean space! Highly recommend for a night out or special occasion.
Our waiter was amazing and super helpful. The food was fantastic!
Don’t book your reservation after 9, your dinner will be rushed. We arrived at scheduled time 9:15, did not get seated until 10 minutes later and was told last call was at 9:45. The food was exceptional , the only reason we will return.
Super great atmosphere, the hostess girl was super kind, the waiter greeted us and got our order in quick. Food was spectacular. Definitely coming back here again and again. Already recommended this place to 3 of my friends. OUTSTANDING
Bacari needs to get new management. If you want to sit in the "garden" don't book the courtyard. It's a cheap concrete strip with string lights. They are unaccommodating. TWO young women came over numerous times to ask us to give up the two top we put next to our table because they had another reservation coming. This happened despite the others next to us having a two top and being unplanned as well with the same number of guests and despite them having a free two top open from another table with two people. After we expressed our disdain strongly and requested they stop bothering us, these two managers declared the restaurant would "no longer be serving us." We are all over 50 and lawyers. It was a disgusting display. They need new management. Brought me back to my early 20's when "86'ing" was a thing. Shame on you Bacari.
Don't book the "COURTYARD" option--it is a new, separate space than the "GARDEN" seating we all know and love. Very misleading in booking reservations. The Courtyard doesn't offer the same energy and ambiance as their indoor or garden spaces.
Our servers were wonderful
Best restaurant meal in a long time
Our server, white guy with glasses, who served us on the patio was too strict with the bottomless mimosas. He told us about some drunk college kids and then proceeded to treat us like college students. We got our first pitcher of mimosas 10 minutes after ordering it but he still counted it against our 90 minutes. When we reach our final pitcher he said we could not have a pitcher but he could do glasses only. The experience of bottomless was too restricted and tainted our experience. Loosen up and let people enjoy the bottomless they pay for.
We've visited Bacari on W. 3rd twice now (years apart, unfortunately). It never fails to impress. Our first visit was on a whim - happened to walk by it and saw the beautiful stone arch/walkway to the garden - for dinner. Absolutely fell in love! Went back our second time to celebrate our anniversary for Sunday brunch and were just as impressed! Every item, as usual, is absolutely perfect! If you love tapas and an outdoor (but very well shaded) environment, you MUST try Bacari on W. 3rd.
Great. Brought my baby and loved that a high chair was available and the server anticipated how the bacon should be prepared for the baby. Appreciated that.
We've been here several times before for lunch and the place has such a nice outdoor vibe, but this was our first time here for dinner. It was insanely packed for "pandemic conditions" and there is no way that indoor seating was limited to only 25%. The combined noise level from inside and outside was ridiculously loud----we could not hear ourselves, and as a result, the waiter got one of the food items wrong (which they gladly removed from our bill). we had the scallops before but this time they were overcooked and dry. the service felt a bit rushed and robotic, as if they were trying to turn the table over for the next seating. neither my wife or i felt "safe' for COVID, nor would we rush back for a dinner meal there.
Absolute amazing experience as always at Bacari! From the amazing, kind people to the bomb cocktails and good, we will definitely be coming back here often! Highly recommend the fries, Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese, apple and brie flatbread and the donuts + bread pudding for dessert! Honestly everything is a must-have 😍
Sooo good! Every dish we order was better than the other. We had pizza, Brussel sprouts, octopu, scallops and an amazing bottle of rosé. Will definitely go back!!
alright, place! go before 2 for brunch as the kitchen closes at 2:45 bar stays open though. Overall very pretty but a bit crowded and the food was okay nothing amazing. It's more for the location than anything only sit in the main garden area inside when making a reservation.
Super amazing, love the place, perfect for weekend brunches!
I absolutely love this place! The service is excellent and the gorgeous court yard has a great Tuscan vibe....I am coming here every week now.
Great food & service!
Wow amazing food!!!!! Wish our server was a little nicer but the food and ambiance was so good we got over it LOL
Our server was always visible. The food was fast and delicious:)
I want to be selfish and say “don’t go” and keep it a secret for me- but that’s not fair😆 So fun with great food and service!
We were seated 3 buildings down in an abandoned delapadated courtyard. I made the reservation 10 days in advance and I wanted this restaurant because of its pretty garden. The food was good, but the atmosphere was dismal and ruined the experience. I invited my friends who were visiting from Berkeley. It was embarrassing and the host didn’t seem to care or even try to accommodate us.
Waiter seemed somewhat dry and short but not so much rude. Food was barely warm.
Very lovely ambience and excellent food. Service was great, very friendly staff!
Been here many times. The food and service is consistently excellent. The garden is an amazing oasis that transports your to a Mediterranean garden. Can't say enough good things about Bacari. Very observant about COVID-related rules and issues too. Go!
Great Sunday Funday spot. The bottomless full bar is a plus.
They should explain "courtyard" seating was not actually part of the restaurant, rather borrowed outdoor space around the corner out back from an empty or abandoned building next door. It was awful. Not the ambiance or experience I drove 3 hrs to have.
This review is secondary to my 1st review... The owner reached out to me after reading my review which I completely appreciated and to make things right he asked that we consider giving them a 2nd chance the next time we were in the area and sent us a generous gift certificate to use. Looking forward to the experience we originally wanted. Stay tuned!
Cute date night spot
Incredible service as always and great food/cocktails!
First visit during the pandemic but food and service quality has suffered in the past year.
After waiting for an hour past our reservation time my fiancé and I were seated in a patio that resembled an alley 3 stores down from the restaurant. ( which they assured us looked exactly like the garden in the restaurant. )I informed the girl that seated us that I am pregnant. After I told her that We were seated at the high traffic area( of the out of order ) toilet at a small table. The food was not as good at the first time we went. Last, the manager that evening came to our table after we asked for her. The manager offered to remove a few items from our bill, which we explained that we felt insulted to offer a few items off of our bill. If you’re truly sorry you would take care of our $60 bill. So for their poor customer service they lost us as customers. We just wanted an apology for the terrible experience. Finally the manager got frustrated and stormed off after huffing and puffing. Extremely unacceptable experience. On a last note. Before the manager stormed off, she explained to me that “ getting seated next to the bathroom which like pregnant is like playing Russian Rolet.” That the heck does that even mean???
This is my new favorite place to go and have dinner. It’s a small plate restaurant but you can eat without being nervous of bill getting higher and higher. It was affordable and I would definitely return here in the future.
Don't eat in the courtyard. It's like eating in an abandoned dirty building in a third world country. Food is very good though. Service at the Bacari GDL was terrific, ambiance was beautiful!
Food was great. The staff are very helpful and gracious.
Another great meal at Bacari! The food was delicious and everyone who helped us was amazing! Special shout out to our server Aixa and David who kept checking on us :)
Always the best bottomless brunch
Daniella was the absolute best
I had a reservation for 7:30, they said they were cleaning off tables when we spoke with them. We waited for over 30 minutes before we got sat and another 5 before anyone came to our table with water and another 15 before our order was taken.
All other reservations were taken and seated almost instantly. Not sure why we waited so long. In addition to our wait, the reservation was for the main garden and after all the additional waiting, we didn’t even get sat in the main garden.
Our server was nice however our table was barely visited and I saw food runners not sure where the food they had went and standing around looking to see who it went to.
The food was good but nothing I’d rave over. Overall, I would go elsewhere.
Our server Nicholas was great and the food was delicious. It definitely became one of my favorite restaurants
