   Not happy with the service at all ! We were there with the family, ordered 2 burgers, 3 fries and 1 avocado toast. I don’t know why, but the server decided to bring the food one by one (whatever food is ready first). He brought 2 fries at first and then in about 15 minutes he brought the avocado toast and then in about 40 minutes the rest of the order after I told the manager to check my order. No idea why it took 45 minutes to cook the burgers.

   This is our first time at this location; but our third consecutive time celebrating husband''s birthday at Bacari. (Silverlake previously) It was too loud (Love that OT terms overly loud restaurants"energetic". It is frustrating not to be able to hear your conversation with family friends and waitstaff. Besides that...we found the food to be not up to par. Portions seemed markedly smaller than in previous visits at SilverLake (already small plates seemed infinitesimal), and somehow not as flavorful. We were "greeted" by an officious hostess who seemed to think she was a bouncer at Studio 54. Rather than seat us immediately (for an on time arrival of our reservation) she proclaimed that we would be informed when our table was ready (in 5 minutes? in an hour? no one let on). When we asked again, she repeated her script. The restaurant clientele skews tightly clad 20 and 30-somethings. Who knew it had become such a scene. The server - Charlie-- was very attentive, which helped a bit to forget the initial chilly reception. I had spoken to the general reservation number several times in advance of the reservation, as we were celebrating a milestone birthday this year. One gentleman assured me he had marked our reservation and slotted us for a particular table that might be slightly quieter off to the side. This was restated in a subsequent phone call that day. However when we were seated that table was "not available" and got the script again of how tables are never guaranteed (despite several conversations to the contrary). Perhaps we were spoiled, as Danny Kronfli had made our previous year's birthday celebration so special. But we won't be returning to the Sherman Oaks location to be sure. I hope the expansion of Bacari is not going to mean the loss of quality and inventiveness of the cuisine. I saw no new dishes on this menu from previous visits. They seem to resting on their reputation. I know Danny Kronfli caresimmensely about his guests' experiences

   Loved everything about this place. Yummy, delicious, fantastic service. Just perfect. My new favorite spot!

   Held my husbands surprise dinner here. Everyone was on top of the drinks, the food was amazing, great shareable plates and we all had a great experience!

   Always enjoy a stop at Bacari Sherman Oaks. It’s nice to have a spot to go with a good vibe and great cocktails following earlier evening plans. It was cold out side and cozy in the bar with the fireplace rolling and 3 piece group playing live music. You all never disappoint

   Ran late because of traffic but hostess looked out for us and made sure we had a great table. Such an affordable, yet high quality experience- not easy to find that combination in SoCal. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a group or family. Each plate is around $15 and it’s normal to get 3 plates, allowing you to try multiple choices in one experience. So, if you are looking for a quality experience with a group, this would be the perfect choice!

    The food and drinks are always top tier. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I’ve never had a bad meal here.
