Born from the visionary mind of James Beard award-winning Rene Andrade, Bacanora isn’t just a restaurant; but rather an experience. Rene and his team have shaped Bacanora into a haven for those seeking a taste of home and a warm hug with hospitality. Sticking to the roots of Sonoran cuisine, everything is carefully crafted over open flame y puro amor at Bacanora. If he’s up, then Phoenix is up!

Parking can be found in the parking lot across McKinley from the restaurant, it is reserved for guests of Bragg’s and neighbors.

The service was impeccable, waitress did a good job introducing the menu and very active throughout our dining experience. The food was great too, ordered NY strip and shor rib asado, both were very delicious!

The food was amazing, very tasteful and fresh. We got the cucumber salad, elote and NY steak. The building is an intimate experience, very unique and you can smell the cooking from your seat. Drinks are great and service was fantastic Would go back

I was thrilled to finally try Bacanora! It was worth the wait. I loved the family-style menu so our table could try a variety of menu items. We ordered way too much food, but we loved it all! The cocktails were perfection! Can't wait to go again!

Well worth the wait to get a reservation! The meal was perfection. The elote appetizer is exceptional! The service and environment was excellent!

I've been waiting a long time to finally get a reservation here, and it was worth the wait! The decor in front of the restaurant was spectacular! It's very quaint inside, love the openness of the dining area, bar and kitchen. Staff very friendly and helpful, food was outstanding. A true gem in the downtown Phoenix area.

First time for our group of four and it did not disappoint. The reviews are spot on. Interesting location and venue (very small) but the service (Cara) and food were outstanding. We shared two appetizers specifically the corn on the cob and the shrimp ceviche and both were absolutely delicious. We shared the chicken and New York strip steak entrées and believe me it was plenty of food. You get several sides and the flavors are absolutely amazing Chicken and steak were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this restaurant especially if you’re a foodie. Outstanding cocktails too! We will definitely be back!
