Baby Brasa is a pretty good restaurant. The foods here taste good and are reasonably priced. From the steak stir fry to the organic and vegan options, you really can't go wrong. We tried the ceviche, the grilled shrimp, the vegan stir fry and the steak stir fry. I can confidently say that the menu items were tasty and the only issue I had was that I felt the drinks were a bit overpriced. Outside of that, this place is solid.
Food and drinks were great. I love the outdoor decor and staffs were very pleasant. I’m definitely coming back.
Great place! I love it here. Food is delicious.
I will always love Baby Brasa! Definitely my favorite restaurant
Small portions overpriced and not a good value for money
The food and ambiance was great. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable.
The only thing I would suggest is for reservations to be manager better, waiting more than 40min with rsvp is a bit too much.
Great food and atmosphere. Great outdoor seating and live music.
I would go again great outdoor seating and friendly staff
Good food, slow / low service
It was an anniversary
Baby Brasa was an overall good experience. Unfortunately we had to do the prefix menu, because we were a party of 6. The appetizers were delicious. The mains were tasty but not what I expected. The Pink Flamingo is must!! And our server Nico was a pleasure!
While they’re on Open Table and allegedly take reservations, in practice Baby Brasa does not have a reservation system in place. We had a dinner reservation on Saturday Sep 19 but we were added to the waitlist like everyone else (including walkins) and we had to wait way past our reservation time to get a table. This is not acceptable.
Will first start with the good. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive.
The outdoor seating areas were separated by plastic although I do not think the tables were 6 feet apart. Now with the below average. The drinks had very little alcohol. The food was decent but not at all over the top. Dinner for 2 was $160. I can think of many other places to spend that amount and get far better food and drinks. I will not be back.
Epic experience like being on a fabulous vacation!
The service was absolutely terrible. The food was ok. And the drinks were creative. I suggest you go elsewhere
The food was delicious and the drinks were good but if you come here just stick to the cold items and tapas - don’t get entrees or hot food. The outdoor setup is so large and vast that the runners and busboys don’t know where food and drinks are going, they just show up with a tray of drinks and/or food mulling around with a lost look on their faces as to which table gets the stuff in their hands. It’s unfortunate because it’s not necessarily their fault. Communication is just not the best here (because of HOW LARGE the outdoor space is) and you need to literally look at the tray of food and tell the guy that it’s your stuff. We had to do this for our tapas/apps, second and third round of drinks and entrees. We also waited 35 minutes for our entrees - which didn’t arrive at the same time and the steak arrived cold. We didn’t even bother to send it back simply because we knew we wouldn’t see it again for minimum 30 minutes LOL! The food itself was tasty but the experience was so subpar and for 6 drinks, 3 tapas appetizers, and ceviche and a steak for our entree - with tax and gratuity the bill came out to $235. That much money for 2 people to have a cold, less than awesome meal just isn’t worth it to me. Maybe if you’re sat closer to the main area/restaurant - it’s not as much of a shande.
We had a reservation for 8:15 PM - the restaurant clearly overbooked because there were CROWDS of people waiting in front of the restaurant waiting to be seated packed closely together. They even had a man who's job was to make sure that people weren't spilling into the bike lane since there were so many people on the sidewalk street.
After waiting OVER AN HOUR, we were finally seated. The tables were extremely close together and waiters repeatedly brought other peoples' food/drinks to our table asking if it was ours. Overall, this was an extremely bad experience and I won't be back. It's unacceptable to wait for over an hour when you have a reservation and the service was extremely lackluster.
Loved this place!!! Drinks were amazing and food tasted home cooked and delish! The service was amazing everyone was nice and I will be coming back!
The food is simple but well prepared... I've been here 3 times and food is consistently good.... but service has been consistently scattered, disorganized and on the slow side.
Very small portions for the food. Drinks were strong. Live music was loud but nice look outside and inside restaurant. Service was a bit slow. But overall enjoyed my time here.
Baby Brasa matches DELICIOUS food with sexy, party vibe atmosphere. Cocktails are fabulous. Love love love. Especially Coconut Margarita
Amazing food and drinks !!
We were seated 20-25 minutes after our reservation time. Plate was dirty on the table. Had to ask for water and utensils 3-5x each. Drink was tasty. Waiters friendly but clearly overworked/undertrained.
Okay the food was amazingggg and the drinks were good + strong. I came here with my boyfriend and we both enjoyed it. The price was a bit steep but just keep in mind everything is organic so can’t complain! Also their outside dining was very inviting and spaced out!
I had a wonderful birthday here! I had a reservation on the day of storm Isaias and the restaurant servers were all extremely helpful and kind. Thank you for your service and coming to work on that day!
This restaurant has been featured as an instagram trap due to the big flamingo that everyone wants to take photos with. Cute idea, but in this pandemic era it has drawn a lot of unnecessary crowds. Didn’t realize it was so scene-y until I arrived, but fortunately the food was delicious!
We made reservations for an early birthday dinner. For Starters I hate to write Bad Reviews but unfortunately I must. First of all when our waitress first sat us down she asked us if we wanted Sparkling or Tap Water? We asked for Tap and never received our water until our appetizers arrived!
Next we started noticing that they were swapping out Tables and Chairs in between everyone’s meal. Which I found was very unusual! It was definitely an inconvenience but we still gave them the benefit of the doubt. The owners sister “Victoria” eventually came by and apologized and later provided us with Complimentary Drinks! Which was very nice to ease the pain.
Afterwards our waitress was later swapped by another waitress. This particular waitress was No Where to be found. We wanted to order another round of drinks as well as our Entree’s but unfortunately she was still MIA!
Anyway eventually I spoke to Victoria and she was more than happy to take our order. Though our food and drinks came out rather rapidly. It still wasn’t enough to ease the painful experience! The food was edible the least but the drinks were Amazing!
Anyway $500 later we paid and Vowed to never go back again! This restaurant definitely needs to train their staff better and be more organized. It wasn’t busy either so that should be Absolutely No Excuse! If you want True Peruvian food make a reservation with “Jora” located in Long Island City. Their Food is Amazing including the professional staff on hand.
We did have to wait even though we had reservations but the tuna ceviche was amazing and so was the churrasco.. the Frose was to die for! Definitely need to come back with a larger group
Dined here and ordered all Tapas. All choices were AMAZING!!! Will definitely return to try the entrees. Service a bit slow but it was really packed so it makes sense.
BEST FOOD- Fresh, tasty and very veggie friendly. Outstanding service and great vibe. Would recommend this to everyone!
Quite honestly I was not impressed with the service. This was my second weekend there and both times my waitresses where not checking on my table. The food is outstanding and that’s the only reason I went back a second time.
A bit pricey for regular Peruvian fare. But it’s NYC.
Service sucked but everything else was 10/10
Food was over priced for portion size, lacked flavor, and did not have authentic Peruvian flavors. Host and waiting staff was friendly. Will not be coming back do not really recommend.
Food was excellent. However, service could’ve been better. we were waiting around for a long time before we were seated and served. The outdoor umbrellas kept falling over as well and hit a man
Great staff and wonderful outdoor seating
Everything about this place is outstanding except their reservation system. No matter how many times we have reserved a table we have always been made to wait for 30 odd minutes before we get a table. Again, this was always the case pré-Covid. So my humble request if for you to either stick to better operational skills to manage reservations or just make it walk-one only!
We waited 40 minutes past the reservation time, nobody came up to us to let us know, a number of walkins were sat before us. Manager is rude.
We came here the first day after phase 2 opened. The food was delicious however, the staff was not wearing masks around each other while they were setting up the outdoor are. They only wore masks when talking to the customers. Also, they should have umbrellas or some kind of shade because the sun was really strong when we were there for lunch!
Incredible food, amazing drinks, great scene and people, one of my favorite places to eat...lunch or dinner!
