Baby Brasa Organic
We waited 40min for them to get our table ready, even though we had a reservation. I had to tell the woman my name 5 separate times. Great place but the service was horrendous.
We didn’t wait too long for the table which was a pleasant surprise as I’ve had to wait much longer the last couple of times I’ve been there. Our server was friendly and on top of everything. The food was delicious as always.
Came in over the weekend, busy lively atmosphere. Drinks and service were OK but I was disappointed with the food. Ordered some apps, lomo saltado and tres leches; did not like the cinnamon-ny tres leches at all and the rest was just OK. I had higher expectations.
too noisy and very crowded couldnt hear each other tslk - food was fsur too pricey
Great experience on Friday night..we will be back!
Food is simply amazing in this restaurant. You can enjoy Peruvian food and Peruvian fusion food being all options delicious. I personally recommend the Vegan Saltado. Also do not miss the Lucuma Gelato. For drinks my favorite is the Passion Pisco Sour.
Over all the food and ambiance was good. However, the server wasn’t standoffish.
We were quite disappointed by the food proposed in Baby Brasa Organic. We were expecting a higher level of gastronomy , quallity and food presentation. We both had the impression our final check was overpriced.
Unfortunately we didn’t even get to try the food.
We walked in, asked for our table and it was clear they didn’t have one for us. While they were trying to get people to leave so we could sit, we asked for a high chair but the employees looked at each other as if they had seen an alien .. they said they think they used to have one but not anymore. We had to leave.
The combination of the space, music, and service was good and very funny
Don’t be fooled by buying a voucher for this restaurant. They will charge you tax on full amount of meal which is like buying a coat on sale but paying tax on the presale price It totally runs up the cost of the meal. They also automatically add on 18% service charge on full price. On top of that the lomo saltado was not very good. Meat was tough.
They were very accommodating even after a reservation mishap. Food is delicious, drinks are super good too! Pricey but once in a while is worth it
Cramped seating next to the bar, which is also used as the overflow waiting area...made for an uncomfortable dinner where I and my guest couldn't hear each other without shouting. The food was adequate but not special, and given the prices I expected more.
Very good food, nice cocktails and lovely service. Cozy and warm.
Must Go! Food is amazing and Great atmosphere. Try the organic Grill chicken
Seafood in Paella was perfectly cooked. A decent pre- jazz club meal. Loved the live latin music.
The food was good as well as the service. Our table was very close to the door and I didn't like that.
Price is in the mid range.
Had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. People were rude.
IT WAS CLOSED
Automatic tip of 25%??? Never seen that in my 12 years living in Manhattan. Very sad bc I really push my self hard to like this place. food is ok.
I wouldn’t waste my time setting up a dinner or event here. The place is very expensive and the service was not great. The food was very low quality and tasted gamy.
Wasn’t even open. Closed due to violations
Food is ok but SUBPAR does not even begin to describe the service....
We had walked in once before but left without ordering because we waited way too long to even get our order taken. We assumed this was a “one off” so we went this time to give it a try... bad idea.
You call this place to set up a reservation and nobody answers the phone (attempted several times, different days) despite the host fiddling with his personal phone nonstop when you arrive... the restaurant’s cordless phone sits right in front of him, which rings then goes to voicemail.
The waiter seemed clueless (perhaps he was new); wandering around but not actually checking on guests’ tables. Service is not slow in a relaxed way but rather painfully slow, even though the restaurant was not overly busy — they had a few tables open throughout our visit.
We arrived 10mins prior to our reservation, that we finally made thru OpenTable, and waited 20 minutes once seated, to get our drinks. The food was generally tasty but luke warm: probably due to the snail’s pace of delivery.
They cancelled our reservation, hours after we left, for some unknown reason —- maybe to avoid poor reviews? So I had to email OpenTable to reinstate it so I could warn others: avoid this place! To top it off, my credit card was authorized several times (multiple holds placed) but luckily it seems only one charge stuck.
Fantastic Peruvian food in a very fun, energetic setting. The portions are quite generous and the service is solid. Very good selection of appetizers, entrees and side dishes.
Great for party on Friday nights
Awesome food and experience. Shout out to Milan.
Had brunch there over the weekend. Wonderfully relaxing day and the weather was perfect. We sat indoors just inside the veranda but the outdoor seating looked very comfortable. It was a quiet day at the restaurant. Everyone in the restaurant looked relaxed and really enjoying their meals. We tried the Lomo Saltado, Beef Churrasco, Ceviche Mixto, Chaufa con Carne, and Aji de Gallina. All the dishes were fabulous. We only wished we could try a few more dishes but that wasn’t physically possible for out tummy’s. Will certainly go again.
Good pisco sour. Food was kind of bad to average. More or a watering hole that had food, than a restaurant with good drinks. Won’t be back except maybe for some pisco
Dinner at Baby Basa was overall enjoyable. Food was excellent. I had the coconut rice with ribs, which my friends and I all enjoyed. The only thing we would comment is that it could have used an extra spare rib. It was very loud toward the evening but for the younger crowd it's OK. If you are a senior and hard of hearing, conversation would be a challenge. But the food was good. Ambience was good. We have no complaints.
Super lively, get ready to dance! Delicious food. Strongly recommend the ceviche
Food is cold. Service is par. Restaurant is noisy kinda out of order
La verdad ha cambiado mucho no es la primera vez que visito el mismo lugar y la calidad de la comida ha bajado considerablemente, no resulta una experiencia maravillosa.
This restaurant is never short of amazing . The food is all fresh ingredients daily and the chefs in the kitchen are consistent. There’s usually live music or jazz , and late night the tables go out and the music goes up. It’s a little known but well received spot in the West Village , our friends loved it!
Disappointed, on Friday night we went to have dinner (it was 3 of us). The drinks were great we each had 2 and when we ordered our dinner, the portion did not match the price. The portions were incredibly small for almost 30 dollars each main dish. We didn't mind and we stayed enjoying each other's company. Once we were done with our desserts the waiter dropped the check, without us even asking for it. The host returned and asked us to leave, a little bit after another staff member also came out and tried to rush us out. The bill was $230 for 3 people dinner and 2 drinks each! We weren't there for too long and then they realized how rude it was to kick guests out of a restaurant and then rectify it with "dessert on the house". Their claim was "it's getting busy and we need the space". I would understand if we weren't ordering anything or we were there for hours, this was not the case. Horrible customer service and definitely not worth the visit. You're opening a restaurant in NYC and to be competitive you do need to offer great customer service or at-least have the price reflect what you are offering. Which Baby Brasa is neither.
Baby Brasa is one of my favorite spots in the city. It’s always fresh and never lets us down. I’ve even started to use it as my go to lunch spot for co workers/staff meetings.
BABY BRASA IS THE SPOT - try the PULPO!
Food was amazing! The ceviche was a stand out as well as the mango salad and fried plantains. Definitely coming back!
When we arrived they wanted to charge $100 per person for what they said would be a two hour open bar and buffet. The AC did not work, the floors were covered with spilled drinks, it was wall to wall people with what was apparently a private party. They should not have accepted our reservation. We looked elsewhere for dinner.
