Don’t book a reservation on open table or Resy you’ll end up having no reservation and not getting served. Had two reservations and they didn’t honor any of them. The manager lacks hospitality. Hostess was super sweet. She sat us down and gave us our menu then the manager came and said they can’t serve us kitchen is closed. Kept forcing us to get drinks when we came to eat! Manager went on to say we had no reservations when I showed her the open table reservation she had nothing to say other than that’s a mistake. But both open table and resy had later reservation times listed.
We Loved everything about this spot ! Definitely will be back
Went on a Saturday evening for 2 people at 8pm. Was too loud and crazy, girls yelling constantly throughout our dinner. If that's the vibe you're going for, it's an okay choice. Service was poor, food was pretty good. Pricy.
Everything was great. Food, cocktails, wine, service. My ne favorite NYC restaurant!
Our dinner on Tuesday night was great, for the most part. We had a reservation for 4ppl originally inside (because that’s all that was available to book) but when we arrived, we asked for a table outside and were accommodated, so we were happy about that. We ordered the calamari, grilled octopus for apps & Amazon fried rice, steak stir fry, fish tacos and tuna avocado ceviche as mains, we had a bunch of drinks - BB martini, 420 & coconut caipirinha (delish but the Baby Brasa martini could use a bit more vodka, it was all juice).
All in all, everything was good, except our waitress Maricela paid no mind to us. We had to flag some other wait staff each time we needed something, from additional drinks, to asking about dessert to requesting our bill. At one point she was right in front of the main entrance but would not turn not once to check on her tables and we were right by the entrance to the outdoor seating, so you couldn’t miss us flailing our arms trying to get her attention. When she would finally come to our table after someone else got her for us, she seemed to be annoyed. This lack of service kind of dampened the evening as we were enjoying ourselves outside of that. BTW, Bingo with Bryan was fun!
I know everyone has off days but in case I’m not the only one who has experienced this, I thought it was good to mention it.
Great place , nice friendly staff
It’s an awesome place and service all package!!
Very nice ambiance. Great service. Brit went above and beyond with the drinks. Loved the Grilled Octopus and the tres leches. Get the churros too! Got very fun brunch vibes from this place. They did it up for my special friend for her bday!!
Loved it! The ceviche was amazing! And I loved the ambiance. I love the energy.
The service wasn’t great and it was not busy , servers seemed bored and tired. There was no music on so the vibe wasn’t great. Cute place but way overly hyped
Amazing servers, went above and beyond for my groups needs!
Very good meal and service
One of the most overly priced, underwhelming experiences ever. Booked this reservation at a specific time to receive a perk on OpenTable points...despite us arriving early, they canceled our reservation to not fulfill the OT points. A party of 3, $600 down the hole, luckily there was a pizzeria close by
They do not honor reservations. They overbook reservations for slots and have an hour wait for your reservation. I had an 8 o’clock reservation and so did 40 other people. At 8:45 I still wasn’t sat for my 8pm reservation (and neither were the 40 other people waiting) and they still had open reservations open for 9,9:30,10,10:30,11. When I asked why they overbook reservations slots without being able to accommodate them, the hostess told me “that’s just how we do it here.” They should be kicked off open table and not allowed to accept reservations.
Outstanding service, our server shared several spot on terrific recommendations and delightful cocktails and food!!! We’ll be back!!!
The overall experience was okay. I would not want to go back again. it was a night club atmosphere.
Food was a step below mediocre. Wholly overpriced for the mess that it is. Service was scattered and poor. Hostess was rude. Yet, the place was packed with drunken college kids falling off their chairs. None of the above is an exaggeration. This is my 4th review in many years on this app. It's that bad.
Kicker: they cancelled my reservation on OpenTable after I had dinner, so that they wouldn't have to pay for it.
Very long wait, terrible service
Very long wait, terrible service
Baby Brasa is a pretty good restaurant. The foods here taste good and are reasonably priced. From the steak stir fry to the organic and vegan options, you really can't go wrong. We tried the ceviche, the grilled shrimp, the vegan stir fry and the steak stir fry. I can confidently say that the menu items were tasty and the only issue I had was that I felt the drinks were a bit overpriced. Outside of that, this place is solid.
Food and drinks were great. I love the outdoor decor and staffs were very pleasant. I’m definitely coming back.
Great place! I love it here. Food is delicious.
I will always love Baby Brasa! Definitely my favorite restaurant
Small portions overpriced and not a good value for money
The food and ambiance was great. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable.
The only thing I would suggest is for reservations to be manager better, waiting more than 40min with rsvp is a bit too much.
Great food and atmosphere. Great outdoor seating and live music.
I would go again great outdoor seating and friendly staff
Good food, slow / low service
It was an anniversary
Baby Brasa was an overall good experience. Unfortunately we had to do the prefix menu, because we were a party of 6. The appetizers were delicious. The mains were tasty but not what I expected. The Pink Flamingo is must!! And our server Nico was a pleasure!
While they’re on Open Table and allegedly take reservations, in practice Baby Brasa does not have a reservation system in place. We had a dinner reservation on Saturday Sep 19 but we were added to the waitlist like everyone else (including walkins) and we had to wait way past our reservation time to get a table. This is not acceptable.
Will first start with the good. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive.
The outdoor seating areas were separated by plastic although I do not think the tables were 6 feet apart. Now with the below average. The drinks had very little alcohol. The food was decent but not at all over the top. Dinner for 2 was $160. I can think of many other places to spend that amount and get far better food and drinks. I will not be back.
Epic experience like being on a fabulous vacation!
The service was absolutely terrible. The food was ok. And the drinks were creative. I suggest you go elsewhere
The food was delicious and the drinks were good but if you come here just stick to the cold items and tapas - don’t get entrees or hot food. The outdoor setup is so large and vast that the runners and busboys don’t know where food and drinks are going, they just show up with a tray of drinks and/or food mulling around with a lost look on their faces as to which table gets the stuff in their hands. It’s unfortunate because it’s not necessarily their fault. Communication is just not the best here (because of HOW LARGE the outdoor space is) and you need to literally look at the tray of food and tell the guy that it’s your stuff. We had to do this for our tapas/apps, second and third round of drinks and entrees. We also waited 35 minutes for our entrees - which didn’t arrive at the same time and the steak arrived cold. We didn’t even bother to send it back simply because we knew we wouldn’t see it again for minimum 30 minutes LOL! The food itself was tasty but the experience was so subpar and for 6 drinks, 3 tapas appetizers, and ceviche and a steak for our entree - with tax and gratuity the bill came out to $235. That much money for 2 people to have a cold, less than awesome meal just isn’t worth it to me. Maybe if you’re sat closer to the main area/restaurant - it’s not as much of a shande.
We had a reservation for 8:15 PM - the restaurant clearly overbooked because there were CROWDS of people waiting in front of the restaurant waiting to be seated packed closely together. They even had a man who's job was to make sure that people weren't spilling into the bike lane since there were so many people on the sidewalk street.
After waiting OVER AN HOUR, we were finally seated. The tables were extremely close together and waiters repeatedly brought other peoples' food/drinks to our table asking if it was ours. Overall, this was an extremely bad experience and I won't be back. It's unacceptable to wait for over an hour when you have a reservation and the service was extremely lackluster.
Loved this place!!! Drinks were amazing and food tasted home cooked and delish! The service was amazing everyone was nice and I will be coming back!
The food is simple but well prepared... I've been here 3 times and food is consistently good.... but service has been consistently scattered, disorganized and on the slow side.
Very small portions for the food. Drinks were strong. Live music was loud but nice look outside and inside restaurant. Service was a bit slow. But overall enjoyed my time here.
Baby Brasa matches DELICIOUS food with sexy, party vibe atmosphere. Cocktails are fabulous. Love love love. Especially Coconut Margarita
