Babin’s Seafood House Willowbrook
There is nothing like soul-satisfying New Orleans style seafood. Sample our world-famous gumbo, made with dark brown roux and the Cajun trinity (bell peppers, onions and celery). Blue crabs from the Gulf of Mexico, catfish from the Atchafalaya swamps, oysters shucked to order and a whole fish filleted in-house bring New Orleans right to your table.
Always great food and service
I think the food is good and the waitstaff is friendly. I don't remember the previous visit but this waiter worked hard to memorize the order. Having a waiter memorize an order isn't as important as getting it right.
We also had to wait for some of the food.
We like the food and would return. We just want to ensure the food is brought out at the same time and is accurate.
Our server Victoria was awesome. Sweet, courteous and professional. Did all she could to make our visit nice. There were 6 of us - 2 of our guests have cognitive issues and can be confused with a lot of noise, etc, but Victoria was kind, patient and did all that anyone could do to keep them satisfied.
Food was great, however service was about non-existent. Had to flag down servers to get water, butter, etc and it definitely was not crowded, so can’t be that they were overworked. Would go back for the food and hopefully better service.
Overall a great place for awesome seafood. The Golden tile was delicious but not what I expected. I am looking forward to coming back and trying their redfish!
Excellent food. All 5 members of our group were delighted with their food. Great service.
My husband and I have eaten at the Willowbrook at least three times in the past year, and our experience is usually about the same -- mediocre! The time before our last visit, it took an exceptionally long time to get our entrees. A black couple came in quite a bit after us. For whatever reason, they had a few words with the manager; and he and the waitress seemed to cater to them. We finally asked the manager why we hadn't gotten our entrees. He apologized and went to check on our order. Our entrees came out soon after that, and he gave us a business card for a free appetizer or dessert on our next visit there. This past visit, our waitress mixed up order. When we finally got our entrees, my husband's entrees were not correct; so they had to be taken back and redone. We've been to the Katy Babin's several times, and the service has always been good to exceptional. I''m not sure why the Willowbrook location seems to have sub-par service, but we've decided never to go there again.
Cocktails could have been a little stronger. Everything was delicious. Decor was a little rustic so we felt overdressed even in the slightly dressy outfit we wore. Overall, nice night out.
Excellent service throughout the visit, from the time we arrived until the time we left.
A shout out to Courtney. She is courteous, efficient, friendly and an excellent server.
The food was much better than expected. The waitress Deshay was very attentive. The overall ambiance of Babin’s failed my expectations is not what I expected, but that’s my fault since I did not do proper research it was sort of a spontaneous thing. Luckily, the food however was much better than the ambiance. I was very satisfied with my meal. We don’t eat out as much because I am an excellent cook and feel I can fix just about anything I get in your typical restaurant. Well let me say I had the Shrimp platter and it is indeed amazing. Unfortunately, the ambiance was a major turn off for me and I will most likely not dine here for quite some time...years.
The ambiance does not match the menu prices. There are chairs at the same table that didn’t match, the booth table was a tad too high for comfort while eating and overall the tables could use some simple white table cloths. This alone would give a different vibe and improve the ambiance. Aside from the food and service it looked like Golden Corral commercial.
The service was horrible
Yes but not on valentine's day. It seemed very chaotic and unorganized.
Dinner was good but we had our truck broke into and stuff stolen from truck!!!
Nice place but waitress got my order confused and the food wasn't tasteful.
Our waitress was phenomenal! Courteous, very prompt, knowlegeable, and lovely to have as our waitress
Great food but no music so all we heard was just people taking in the background
It was Valentines Day and the restaurant was packed. The service was not up to the usual Landry’s standard.
Happy hour was just what we needed. Great prices and great drinks. Food was fantastic. Nice portion sizes. Service was excellent
I made reservations weeks in advance as we had a show after dinner. There must have been 3-4 Hostess type young ladies at the front desk. We were seated immediately. We were showed to the first booth by the door, literally 5 feet from the kitchen, Hostess stand and what sounds like a Babin's manager in an intense phone conversation. We asked for something a little out of the traffic. The hostess paused for a brief second....I got the feeling we had just cratered the entire evening seating plan by her glance. But gave it no more thought as she moved us a few booths down..."Thank you for a nicer table"
15 minutes later we see a table that was seated after us greeted by a waiter, water...and attention. I went to the hostess and pointed to him, "Is that our waiter", She said "I believe so". "If he does not stop at our table after he finishes, could you ask him to". She said she would. I watched, nothing happened. + 5 more minutes...
I got up again, went to the waiter and asked him directly, are you my waiter? He said, "no I don't think so"...I turned to what looked like a potential supervisor and said "please find someone that can make that determination, get them to my table as we are thirsty and hungry. We do not even have water yet".
Thinking it was resolved as we did get a waitress quickly...turned out, she was stationed on the other side of the restaurant...We were "that table" on the other side of the restaurant and subsequently had "just too late" service the entire remainder of the evening. Not to mention appetizers, salad, and the main served all within 10 minutes. Management was good enough to pay for our appetizer but our issues was never really resolved...felt like we were sort of a burden and being hurried all at the same time.
Good tip for the waitress, an honest review for management, at least 3 of them I saw walking the floors and returning cards/receipts.
The server seemed confused and did not service our table in a timely manner.
Server was very good, but she had no support staff.
We always enjoy our visit to Babin's. It's a good value for quality food.
I am a Ladry's member and this is one of our favorite restaurants we dine at regularly. We received a date night offer for 3 course meal for $35.00 each. We went Thursday night and enjoyed the selections. The waitress was pleasant but she was also very busy, it seemed they were short handed. We enjoyed our date night despite the long wait for our courses. We will keep coming back!
Everything was good except for the bread pudding. I didn't care much for the sweet sauce drizzled on my crawfish rolls. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. My server was very attentive.
The food was excellent , my lady and I really enjoyed the food .
Our evening there was great.
Wonderful place, close to home. Staff and management are top notch! Thank you for making my sons birthday enjoyable
Golden Tile with Crabmeat topping is fantastic. Also love file gumbo.
The food was very good, everyone was happy with their meals.
Very inexperienced server caused a business dinner for 7 to lengthen to 3 hours. She was insufficiently trained on the menu, drinks ordered, and how to wait tables. The restaurant was uncrowded when we arrived, but by the time we (finally) got our entrees, it was quite busy, which also contributed to the 3 hours. The appetizers were very tasty and were enjoyed by all (alligator, fondeaux, spinach dip, baked oysters, calamari), but the entrees were all overcooked and undersize. I do not intend to return to Babin's again.
The only complaint I had was that the a/c was a little too cool to suit me and we were right under a vent. However it was tolerable
We were traveling on business and grew tired of the restaurants in Tomball so we made the drive! It was delightful!
Great service and food!
My food was cold and the shrimp were burnt. Everything else was good, Friends were happy so no need to complain. Everyone's food was hot so I didn't want to cause a fuss. Our waiter Rick was amazing! Thanks for a great evening.
Extensive fish menus, very good but not exceptional. Bread pudding with meringue topping- excellent!
There lunch menu is extensive. All the food is excellent.
Excellent selection, nice ambiance and great staff. Salmon was fresh and delicious.
The salad and stuffed shrimp was the best part of my meal. The rest of the meal tasted bland. The
highlight of our visit was the waiter who went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable one.
We waited for 6-7 minutes before a hostess showed up and then it was because we stopped a waiter to find her. As it turned out, it was the same person that had walked past us three times while we were waiting. The service was good, but the kitchen was extremely slow in getting our appetizers and our entrees to us.
