WEDNESDAYS: Enjoy our acoustic nights with various talented artists, every Wednesday starting at 8 PM.
THURSDAYS: Ladies’ Night. BABA loves to celebrate her ladies – and she’s reserved it for
On the menu? Latin beats.
Ladies can enjoy 1 complementary sparkling wine or Baba's secret cocktail.
FRIDAYS / SATURDAYS: NO EXCUSES.
No early morning rising (for most of us) so tonight BABA accepts no excuses. On the program? House music and A-class mixology leaving us with no doubt that we’ll be seeing you next week and the week after and… you get the idea.
The best word to describe Baba is “sexy”. The ambiance feels intimate, a touch romantic, and secretive. I love the mirrors and dark leather chairs. The glassware and platewear is beautiful and exotic. This is a great place for drinks and dinner with friends. Love the small plates because you can try so many different things. Loved everything especially the steak, olives, salmon, tuna. My favorite drink is the Raspberry Fizz.
A a nice and cozy little restaurant in an underground hideout. A DJ plays music on Friday nights. And the moving heads and colored light beams make the place feel like a night club. Will definitely go back. Service was very good.
I met my friend for Happy Hour and I was a little early. My server was attentive, polite and made sure I was comfortable with a drink and a little nibble. The weather outside was hot and sunny but down in Baba it is dark and cool, with ambient lighting. A truly beautiful bar with awesome tapas with a twist. I will be trying Babas brunch very soon!
We were sat at the cutest table with comfy floral chairs and the service was wonderful.
The brunch cocktails were incredible! I would come back just for those. We tried nearly every one on the brunch menu. The food was really good too - great mix on the buffet plus you could order from the menu as well. Great value and great place!
Baba is da Balkan Bomb! The B&B cocktail with beet juice is not to be missed. Grandma’s house-made chips are the perfect accompaniment to a cocktail. The mushrooms are amazing, the sliders substantial. The blue-cheese stuffed olives are just okay - comes 4 on a plate, not incredible like the rest of our selections. The ambiance is hip and intimate - lighting, black-and-white tile floor, glassware that grandma might have used for her cocktails, decor and cool Balkan accents all contribute to the feeling of being at a unique, “in“ place
Met friends here for brunch, yesterday. Got the brunch buffet, with a few drinks. Everything was good. Planning on coming back
Had the weekend brunch. While there were few Balkan dishes, I'm uncertain I could distinguish the Balkan nature of them from others brunch items. The taste wasn't anything to write home about. The buffet had substantial variety with sweet and savory items. I'm not too familiar with Balkan cuisine but having eaten in Slovenia and Croatia, something was amiss. I like brussel sprouts and while nicely charred, they were very hard to eat (bit underdone). The wait staff were excellent. The drinks are bargain when purchased with the brunch. The place is relatively small compared to this upstairs neighbor which was buzzing and Baba was quiet.
Great service. Our waitress and Marianna were very friendly.
Food selection was excellent.
Great brunch for people who eat veganish - you can order a number of items without egg or meat! And it was relatively quiet. Meaning not obnoxiously overcrowded like other places.
Very bohemian, eclectic, and enjoyable. We were a little cramped for space at our table, but it was a small price to pay for an otherwise exemplary experience.
We have been to Baba multiple times for cocktails but wanted to mix it up and try the food. We went on a Sunday for brunch and we were not disappointed! Great coffee, great drinks and great food. No complaints here. Give it a try and see for yourself!
Went on a Monday night. It was quiet (we were one of only two couples there). Great service. Good food. Great ambience. Would definitely recommend.
BaBa had a Memorial Day brunch special, so we got the brunch crew together to try this new spot. Its started out with our party of 6 changing to a party of 3, which the staff very kindly dealt with, no problems. The basement spot is very cozy and intimate, with great eclectic decor, seating and dishes. A real comfortable feel to the whole place.
The Balkan food was very good, similar to Agora just upstairs, but served buffet style, so you can moderate your intake a little..... if you have the will power. The drinks were fantastic! I started with the celery one, then the beet, then the berry, and finished with the iced tea on fire. My freinds loved the belinis and the coffee drink.
Service was fantastic right up to the end when they were taking down the buffet for the regular service, then we waited quite a while to get the bill, and pay it. This was completely offset by how delightful Mairian (sp?) was. She is a warm, funny, friendly hostess that really made us feel at home.
Overall, a great brunch. I would strongly recommend, and look forward to returning!
Amazing, hands down the best customer and ambiance I've experience with a classy speakeasy vibe! The gouda cheese and mushrooms are absolutely delish!!!
You will not be disappointed, reserve your seat (s) today!
I love the brunch at Baba! The price is great and the food is amazing. They have a great variety of food selections at the buffet and on the made-to-order menu. This was my second visit, and the only complaint I have is that my friend, who did not intend to order the buffet option and had one made-to-order omelette, was required to pay buffet price because the rest of the table decided to go with the buffet option. Our server failed to explain this requirement to us--or the buffet option/pricing at all--prior to dining.
Definitely a fun place! We went for Sunday brunch and it was a really great experience. My friend was very late and the server was extremely understanding and still let me sit, brought me a drink and didn't hassle me to start the buffet. The buffet was a little pricey at $30 but if you did the buffet, your drinks were .25 cents! Yes, you read that right. The Balkan buffet was really good and the meat bureq was the HIGHLIGHT! The slider off the made-to-order menu was also really solid. Fun "club like" atmosphere but not too much. Just be prepared for energetic music.
Another fantastic evening at Baba! I have allergies to gluten and dairy. The staff and kitchen are always very accommodating of my allergies and will incorporate different parts of other dishes so I can always enjoy a delicious gluten and dairy free meal. They have a fantastic spicy tequila drink called the Serbian Sombrero. I love the lighting and ambiance inside - all in all ... fantastic place! I'm excited for their new restaurant to open up across the street.
Horrible service. We were often brought food or drinks that were not ours and then not brought what we had actually ordered. Seemed like a very confused staff and no sense of what was happening. Food was sub-par. Much better options in the neighborhood.
Mother’s Day brunch
I think I might have gotten sick off the yougart in the stuffed pepper.
One of the best/interesting places to had brunch that I've had the opportunity to visit.
Went to Brunch. Very good buffet, can also order off menu and be included. Tres Leches desert was great.
My wife, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening at baba. My wife and I had driven to Arlington from Pittsburgh during the day so the small plates and drinks were a relaxing way to start the evening. All plates and drinks were enjoyed. The mushrooms, and scallops were my favorite and the Serbian sombreros were nice after the trip. Very relaxing. Cauliflower, and croquets were another highlight. But the sliders and tartars were very good also.
We will return!!!
Loved the ambiance, food was delicious and we got a special which was great value. The service was super friendly and attentive. Highly recommended
Food quality superb and creative menu concept for Sunday Brunch; kinda liked the fact that you had to order certain dishes a la carte (i.e. eggs) so that they didn't turn to crusty mush under heat lamps in the buffet. Our group loved the setting as well. Will definitely return ASAP.
Great place to come, as we have for about a year now. Staff know us and make recommendations on food and drink that has never been wrong.
My boyfriend and I went for a late dinner and the service was exceptional, the food and drinks were amazing, and the music was great. Will definitely be back.
We celebrated a friend’s going away and were so impressed by the all the staff taking care of our group. The food and drinks were also delicious!
Saw this on Yelp and didn't know it was under âmbar and what a place! This is one of the best brunches I have had
Loved Baba. Nice design and cozy atmosphere. Food was great and service impeccable. Will definitely be back.
The only thing I'd recommend for improvement is the DJ. Seems like in order to match the rest of the place the DJ would have to be more experienced.
The music is way too loud. It’s obnoxious and unnecessary. We won’t be back.
Made a reservation for 6....which was a wise choice. The place was hopping! Waiter was nice and explained a lot of the drink and food menu to us. He also was able to keep up with our water, which was great. The food portions are small (tapas) and are served sporadically. No problem when you order 3, but two of our party weren't really hungry so they only ordered 1....guess who's came out last. Everything we ordered was either very good or outstanding. Cauliflower, tuna, and slider really stood out. Ladies all ordered mixed drinks and were impressed. Very, very loud. We are old, so it was somewhat difficult to talk/hear. On the expensive side.
Easter brunch. Staff was really informative and clearly love food from their homeland. 😊Yum!
Love the handsome bartenders! And friendly hostess!
Great food and unique drinks. Service was great too!
Delicious food and drinks. We went during happy hour, so it was a good deal.
The restaurant itself was super cute inside, they had live music that was a nice touch. However, once we were seated it took about 30 min for anyone to even come over to us. Once we finally placed a drink order, it took another 45 min for someone to come back to take a dinner order. Then when someone finally came around, I grabbed my check, which it took them another 45 min to take our check. I would not say it was that busy that the service should have been this poor.
Amazing cocktails, as always!! Strongly recommend the Serbian Sombrero if you like tequila!
Good food. Definitely gives you the feeling of “a night out,” a little dark and loud, but still enjoyable. The food and service were both great
As always, the food and the staff were both top notch. Today was part of Baba's birthday celebration, so every table got a special dessert on the house.
