Just went for drinks and it was a great time. Got noisy around 2200 because it turns into a club then so we left at about 930. Great time

Love the atmosphere of the restaurant. The highlights of the meal were the shrimp,.mushrooms and tuna. The seafood mixture was was a little odd as were the olives. No reason to deep fry olives. Also side note the servers outfits did not match the ambience of the restaurant. Checkered shirts and jeans are more for a BBQ place not a cool speakeasy joint.

I enjoyed my time there. We met some friends for brunch and it was awesome. The drinks were $0.25/ea and the price for the brunch was very reasonable, especially relative to the all you can eat made-to-order and buffet choices.

Baba was so good - the mushroom dish was amazing and the server was very informative when describing the Serbian dishes. Overall the food was delicious, and the drinks were fun and interesting as well. It was a cool atmosphere, an underground place with unique light fixtures and an overall chill vibe. Will definitely return!

High quality buffet with traditional American options like sausage, bacon, eggs Benedict (cooked to order, all you want included in buffet price) and omlettes (also cooked to order) in addition to a number of Balkan options. Live DJ playing at brunch, so it's a bit loud, but a cool scene. Great, very warm service.

Our waitress (Ana I think) was amazing! The cocktails are delicious and buffet was good food. Around noon they start turning the lights down low and turn up the music which we weren’t anticipating for a Sunday brunch but otherwise it was a good time!

Unique upscale underground find (yes, it's literally underground). Talking over drinks surrounded by a relaxed vibe is the main draw. Low lighting means you and your sweetheart will look just a little bit better, even before the first drink. Cocktail menu has unique options around $10-13. Wine selection is solid. The Serbian staff is coolly pleasant to jovial. Happy hour/dinner time food consists of small plates with very small portions. If you have a large appetite or skipped your last meal be ready for a hefty bill. Notably - pricing keeps the place upscale, even on a busy Friday night when the 20-somethings are out. Friends said the brunch was worthwhile. If you're unfamiliar with the area - parking deck diagonally across nearby intersection. Does not appear to have disability access due to basement location. Overall a pleasurable experience!

The best word to describe Baba is “sexy”. The ambiance feels intimate, a touch romantic, and secretive. I love the mirrors and dark leather chairs. The glassware and platewear is beautiful and exotic. This is a great place for drinks and dinner with friends. Love the small plates because you can try so many different things. Loved everything especially the steak, olives, salmon, tuna. My favorite drink is the Raspberry Fizz.

A a nice and cozy little restaurant in an underground hideout. A DJ plays music on Friday nights. And the moving heads and colored light beams make the place feel like a night club. Will definitely go back. Service was very good.

I met my friend for Happy Hour and I was a little early. My server was attentive, polite and made sure I was comfortable with a drink and a little nibble. The weather outside was hot and sunny but down in Baba it is dark and cool, with ambient lighting. A truly beautiful bar with awesome tapas with a twist. I will be trying Babas brunch very soon!

The brunch cocktails were incredible! I would come back just for those. We tried nearly every one on the brunch menu. The food was really good too - great mix on the buffet plus you could order from the menu as well. Great value and great place!

Baba is da Balkan Bomb! The B&B cocktail with beet juice is not to be missed. Grandma’s house-made chips are the perfect accompaniment to a cocktail. The mushrooms are amazing, the sliders substantial. The blue-cheese stuffed olives are just okay - comes 4 on a plate, not incredible like the rest of our selections. The ambiance is hip and intimate - lighting, black-and-white tile floor, glassware that grandma might have used for her cocktails, decor and cool Balkan accents all contribute to the feeling of being at a unique, “in“ place

Had the weekend brunch. While there were few Balkan dishes, I'm uncertain I could distinguish the Balkan nature of them from others brunch items. The taste wasn't anything to write home about. The buffet had substantial variety with sweet and savory items. I'm not too familiar with Balkan cuisine but having eaten in Slovenia and Croatia, something was amiss. I like brussel sprouts and while nicely charred, they were very hard to eat (bit underdone). The wait staff were excellent. The drinks are bargain when purchased with the brunch. The place is relatively small compared to this upstairs neighbor which was buzzing and Baba was quiet.

BaBa had a Memorial Day brunch special, so we got the brunch crew together to try this new spot. Its started out with our party of 6 changing to a party of 3, which the staff very kindly dealt with, no problems. The basement spot is very cozy and intimate, with great eclectic decor, seating and dishes. A real comfortable feel to the whole place.
The Balkan food was very good, similar to Agora just upstairs, but served buffet style, so you can moderate your intake a little..... if you have the will power. The drinks were fantastic! I started with the celery one, then the beet, then the berry, and finished with the iced tea on fire. My freinds loved the belinis and the coffee drink.
Service was fantastic right up to the end when they were taking down the buffet for the regular service, then we waited quite a while to get the bill, and pay it. This was completely offset by how delightful Mairian (sp?) was. She is a warm, funny, friendly hostess that really made us feel at home.
Overall, a great brunch. I would strongly recommend, and look forward to returning!

I love the brunch at Baba! The price is great and the food is amazing. They have a great variety of food selections at the buffet and on the made-to-order menu. This was my second visit, and the only complaint I have is that my friend, who did not intend to order the buffet option and had one made-to-order omelette, was required to pay buffet price because the rest of the table decided to go with the buffet option. Our server failed to explain this requirement to us--or the buffet option/pricing at all--prior to dining.

Definitely a fun place! We went for Sunday brunch and it was a really great experience. My friend was very late and the server was extremely understanding and still let me sit, brought me a drink and didn't hassle me to start the buffet. The buffet was a little pricey at $30 but if you did the buffet, your drinks were .25 cents! Yes, you read that right. The Balkan buffet was really good and the meat bureq was the HIGHLIGHT! The slider off the made-to-order menu was also really solid. Fun "club like" atmosphere but not too much. Just be prepared for energetic music.

Another fantastic evening at Baba! I have allergies to gluten and dairy. The staff and kitchen are always very accommodating of my allergies and will incorporate different parts of other dishes so I can always enjoy a delicious gluten and dairy free meal. They have a fantastic spicy tequila drink called the Serbian Sombrero. I love the lighting and ambiance inside - all in all ... fantastic place! I'm excited for their new restaurant to open up across the street.
