Food was incredible as always. Delicious cocktails. Service was a bit delayed.
Incredible flavors. Great drinks. A little slow with the service
My friends and I enjoyed our time here for a girls night out. Mona was an amazing server! The food was delicious and tasty. We will definitely be back!
The restaurant doesn’t honor reservations and asked us to wait indefinitely despite of having a confirmed reservation. The front desk manager is excessively rude and doesn’t understand concept of reservation.
When I made my reservation, I was told I was making it for indoor dining. Being able to sit inside was a major factor in my booking.
At the restaurant, my date and I were seated in a heated outdoor area. The temperature was fine but the ambiance was more that of a diner: bright lights, a table that moved when people walked by, etc. It was not what I was expecting and I felt like I got duped into coming to this restaurant under false pretenses. The inside ambiance looked really great too which made it worse to be put on the porch.
The food and drinks were all really good but by date and I both left disappointed we didn’t get to experience it as planned.
Our server was so brilliant. Really read the mood at the table and was able to make great drink and food suggestions for us.
The food was great but some dished lacked real punchy flavors that we enjoy from eating indian cuisine.
Overall a very solid dining experience
Amazing experience.. we keep returning for the amazing Dahi puris and the butter chicken. The chili paneer is amazing.. the drinks are so delicious! We had a great experience.. our 4th time eating here in 6 months!
Staff was super nice to accommodate our requests despite the pandemic.
Took a very long time to be seated. 45 minutes even though we had a reservation.
Anniversary
this place does not believe in social distancing. The tables were set right next to each other in the outdoor dining area. The server forgot to get us two of items from our order. It was a complete chaos and the place turned very noise as many tables were cramped in a small space. very disappointed.
Service was terrible, the waitress was extremely rude, they took more than 40 minutes to seat us.
Food was great but it took them more than 20 mins to get the table even though we had a reservation
this place was great! I loved the food. it was different and I would definitely go again
Serving 8 people does not mean setting up tables and 8 chairs. There is a level of service and comfort that needs to be provided. Restaurant did not set up heaters for our table and we ate the their cold food while shivering in the cold. Yes their food was undercooked and cold. When we asked for blankets or further service they said it would cost us per person! If you are on the fringe of coming here make the right move and do not come here. There is a lady here (calls herself the manager) did our dining with the worst attitude. When we asked if she could move one of the heater serving one of the white tables since they had multiple, she refused saying she can’t touch them.
Food was great. Drinks were okay. Tried the mule and ghee..meh. I have had better. Our server, Iman, was awesome.
I had the goat and my companion had the bronzini. Both were delicious
Great food and ambience!
Loved this place! Highly recommend! The service and food was outstanding.
Excellent experience all-around.
One of the best Indian cousin in town
Excellent service and interesting food with great ambience!
the music is unbearable loud, even in the outdoor seatings
Best and most original Indian cuisine I ever experienced
Like always amazing food.
I went to celebrate my father's death anniversary last nighr with my lovers and It was amazing the spread of sauces Amazing. I was in flavor heaven. Service was really attentive. I love it.
Great food and atmosphere! Cute dining area outdoors
What i did not like is that they try to rush you and at the beginning say you only have 90 min...
Inside table was comfortable and safe. The shrimp dish was delicious the lamb shank was a very small portion for the price and just OK. Wine and cocktails very good
Not much social distancing. Very dissatisfied but food was very good.
Nice place, great food, would highly recommend.
Awesome vibes can’t wait to be back
The food options and the taste was superb.Music and ambiance was on point also and the outdoor seating is properly covered also to protect from cold or windy.
Overall an amazing experience
4th time at Baar Baar and the experience never let's me down. Food is amazing, portions are very good, and ambience is always energetic. Appetizers were very authentic with a modern twist. The chicken dishes were amazing including the butter chicken. The whole sea bass in banana leaf was worth every penny! Amazing quality!
We were at Baar Baar 2 months ago and we’re blown away with the quality of the dishes we ordered. We were quite disappointed at our last visit because the dishes we had were subpar. We ordered from the restaurant week menu. The presentation was not as elegant as before. We were wondering there has been a change in the kitchen staff. Only positive note was the attentive service.
Arrived for Restaurant Week and the menu had several good options — notably the pork belly appetizer and the sea bass entree which were delicious. The garlic naan was also the right contrast of flaky to soft. The ambience is more hip and modern than a traditional Indian restaurant, making it a great place for a date night in NYC. Definitely recommended.
The food is absolutely amazing. Period.
It's COVID. Service and Ambience is good and evolving. Food is OUTSTANDING.
Our server Swagata was amazing. Made the whole experience 100 times better. She really should be rewarded for being so awesome and making guests feel at home
Excellent Experience. Service was great and they made our birthday celebration so great.
Best contemporary Indian I’ve had In NYC.
